The Solomon Curse by Clive Cussler & Russell Blake Book Summary

Sam and Remi Fargo search for a legendary lost city in this thrilling adventure from the #1 New York Times–bestselling author.

Husband-and-wife treasure-hunting team Sam and Remi Fargo have heard many rumors about the bay off Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. Some say it was the site of the vanished empire of the Solomon king and that great treasure lies beneath the waters. Others say terrible things happened here, atrocities and disappearances at the hands of cannibal giants, and those who venture there do not return. It is cursed.

The Fargos can’t resist the mystery, but their exploration takes a turn when islanders start disappearing. Soon the pair learn there may be truth behind the fables. Clues and whispers lead them on a hunt from the Solomons to Australia to Japan, and what they find at the end of the trail is both wonderful and monstrous—and like nothing they have ever seen before.

The Solomon Curse. One of the best Clive Cussler book I have read. Fast paced and never a lack od suspense. Bravo well done.

So so. Not up to the normal Cussler standard.

The Solomon a Curse. Terrible. Boring. Trite the supposedly "cute" repartee between the couple is nauseating. Never again waste money on a Cussler

Surprise Ending. Great book did not expect ending. Can't wait for the next one.

Childish Ending. I enjoyed this book until the very last few pages, when the authors included 17' giants in the story. If they wanted giants, how about making them a realistic height? All that this book needed was a final sentence of "and Sam, Remi, and their friends all lived happily ever after" and the book's appeal to the young crowd would have been complete.

Fun read. Enjoyed the read. Grows more exciting at the end.

Meh.. Not the best in the Fargo series. I have always disliked the vigilante aspect of the Fargoes. This one is rather disjointed and confusing. The characters are not fully fleshed out and they tend to sound the same.

Fargos go Far. This is another great Fargo adventure. The ending will surprise you. A quick read. Way to go Mr C!

Saw it coming a mile away. It, like ALL Clive Cussler books, is nothing more than a lightweight confection but, with that said, I always look forward to the next book issued. I would have given this three or four stars if the surprise twist ending hadn't been telegraphed so obviously in the first third of the book. It was also a pleasure to read yet another book in which Mr. Cussler chose not to interject himself into the narrative. Thanks, Clive, you old sea dog!

GOOD ENDING. I found the characters lacked depth and the relationships between needed deepening. However as the story developed it truly did bring together many interesting facets of history, the usual treasure hunting adventure along with civil unrest, and a surprise medical drama that truly made the book worth reading. I have to give the book applause for its finale.

The Solomon Curse. I have read most, if not all of the Fargo books. This was as good or better than any of them. It is a terrific read.

Ok Story. I love Clive and his writing. Love the Fargo series an have read every one. I love how the adventure takes them all over the world and to new places. This book does this initially as well but the story seemed a little disjointed. The "find" was early and then hinted to the ultimate treasure. But the plot line around the politics in the country was almost as if that was the main storyline. Very little clues and search and find for the next clue. Then the ending, while very interesting, was left too open and lacked explanation. And it seemed a little shorter than I expected. Too many plots that didn't tie together and too many simple clues and facts to follow. Again, HUGE fan of Clive. Just a little disappointed overall. Hope the next book picks up about the ending of this one.
