a quick read that was easy to follow and brought a smile.. The Wedding Audition is the second novella in the Runaway Brides series by the author duet of Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock. At just under 150 pages, the prequel and this first novella are the perfect afternoon escape, with plenty of romance and clever characters to enjoy. There’s plenty going on in this story, perhaps a touch too many elements that add potential for tension and conflict without really needing to be there. But, I digress. Annamae is a reality television star who just made a huge gaffe on national television, breaking up with her baseball player fiancé. The pressure from the story and celebrity chasers is never ending, so she heads out to take some time for herself and deal with some long-standing family issues. She’s searching for her father, and planning to use the time to decide what it is that she really wants. Wynn is an undercover police officer hiding out in protective custody in Alabama. When Annamae arrives, the constant threat of a media circus is not a welcome sight. And, in his situation, Wyatt is not even considering a relationship, long or short term. With plenty of concerns surrounding Wyatt’s safety should his hiding place be discovered, Annamae’s crazy relatives and her never-before met Grandmother, it barely seems as if they have time to find the threads of romance. But, even as Annamae starts to discover what is truly important in her life, she and Wyatt find a connection that is unexpected and solid. While the pacing was a bit fast and the relationship seemed to be in fast-forward, there was solidity to the development of the characters and their connection, even if the issues of media and danger from cartels fell by the wayside. It was a quick read that was easy to follow and brought a smile. I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher via Tasty Book Tours for purpose of honest review. Finding true love. Reality star Annamae breaks up with her fiancee over the radio accidentally, after realizing what she did she sneaks out a window and out of town. When she arrives in the town that her paternal grandmother lives in she looks for a place to stay to find an unsociable man in witness protection. Wynn "Heath" wants a quiet life until he goes back to Miami to testify in court. He has an instant attraction to Annamae and lets her stay in his carriage house only to turn his life into a circus. This was a good book and a pretty quick read.

Story Keeps you on your toes. The Wedding Audition had quite a bit of suspense in play. Wondering what Annamae is up to next? The mystery behind Heath Lambert. The opening line of the story is quite a shock!! The story kept me on my toes. I received an ARC for an honest and fair review.

Wedding Audition. Hold on to your hat cause you’ll never believe where this story goes. Quite the cast of characters some bazaar but believable. The pending romance is pretty good.

Sweet and Funny Quick Read. This is a really quick read that is sweet and funny with lots of excitement. "The Wedding Audition" by Catherine Mann and Joanne Rock is book number two in the "Runaway Brides" series. This is Wynn Rafferty and Annamae Jessup's story. Annamae is a TV star of a reality show and tied of doing what everybody wants her to do. She was to marry Boone Sullivan a baseball player. The day before her wedding, she calls off the wedding and goes on the run. She decides to go to Beulah, Alabama to find her grandmother. Annamae wants answers about her biological father. Wynn Rafferty is an uncover detective. He is hiding out on an old apple farm in Beulah, Alabama where he will be a witness at a drug lord's trial. Annamae ends up renting the cottage on Wynn's apple farm. Well, life gets really interesting for Wynn after Annamae's arrival. The authors incorporate a steamy and funny romance with other surprises into this quick read. Will Wynn and Annamae take a chance on love or will all the obstacles in their life keep them from finding love? FYI, includes mature content.

Wedding Audition. This is a very good story with twists and turns and protection from past secrets for safety purposes.

undercover love. **I received an ARC in exchange for my opinion** Annamae's family is the South's favorite reality TV family. Though usually the quiet one, she's just accidentally dumped her fiance` in a most-public way. Escaping life, she runs to a small town in Alabama seeking the one truth about her family kept secret her entire life. Trying to stay incognito isn't easy, but fortunately for her, she's able to rent a carriage house from Wynn/Heath--undercover cop in hiding before a trial and disguised as a farmer. Trying to keep both out of the public eye leads to a lot of alone time for Wynn/Heath and Annamae. They discover other paths for the future as they fall in love and try to keep her family under control and Wynn/Heath safe from a crime family. This is a fun read with a great plot and HEA!

Teaser not the story described. Disappointing, wordy teaser.

A Fun Read. This is the first book in the Runaway Bride series, a fun read. Annamae,has left her fiance a day before the wedding, a big time baseball player. She now just wants to get away from the public eye so she decides to go visit her grandma, the she never really knew. She ends up renting a house on an apple orchard from Wynn who also is in hiding, a temporary witness program. Sparks start to fly between the two. Loved this story, had me laughing out loud at times. Loved Annamae's quirky family.

Really enjoyed this book. Thank you for a very well written and interesting novel. Was very glad to see the characters stay in line with their individual personalities. I noticed a very unique form of writing that easily kept the readers imagination flowing and eager to continue with the story line. This book takes several of my favorite themes and mixes them together. This book takes several of my favorite themes and mixes them together. I’m a sucker for reality TV. Mix that with a good rom-com and throw in a little suspense and I’m going to be a happy camper. On the surface, Annamae and Wynn seem too different to work, but they do. Their instant attraction sizzles across the page and made me cheer for this unlikely pairing to get their happily ever after.

Annamae was engaged to a well known baseball player and she accidentally broke-up with him on a radio talk show. She immediately took off to a small town to meet her grandmother and to find out who she really was. That would be the mother of her father who she had never met - neither her father or grandmother. While looking for a place to live she met Wynn, an apple farmer. Wynn is in witness protection and keeping a low profile so when Annamae showed up he didn't want her there. The last thing he wanted was the attention that a reality TV star would bring. After all he's in witness protection for a reason, which is that he doesn't want the drug cartel he's going to be testifying against to find him before the trial. Wynn realizes it's saver to have Annamae stay with him than to send her away so that his enemies can't find or harm her. The more time they spend together the more they are attracted to each other. I loved this book and didn't want to stop reading. The writing was excellent making the story easy to follow. The sex scenes were so well written that I actually squirmed during them. I loved the characters. Both Annamae and Wynn had difficulties in their lives but were strong enough to overcome them. Being together was dangerous for them but they were better together.

Audition to read. Good story and little thrill of action. Sexy as well.

Wedding audition. Heartwarming and can't stop reading until the end. Love the bit of mystery in it.
