Here is episode #1 in the graphic novel adaptation of the #1 Bestselling epic fantasy novel A QUEST OF HEROES, with over 900 five star reviews!

From #1 Bestselling author Morgan Rice comes the debut of a dazzling new fantasy series. A QUEST OF HEROES (BOOK #1 IN THE SORCERER’S RING) revolves around the epic coming of age story of one special boy, a 14 year old from a small village on the outskirts of the Kingdom of the Ring. The youngest of four, the least favorite of his father, hated by his brothers, Thorgrin senses he is different from the others. He dreams of becoming a great warrior, of joining the King’s men and protecting the Ring from the hordes of creatures on the other side of the Canyon. When he comes of age and is forbidden by his father to try out for the King’s Legion, he refuses to take no for an answer: he journeys out on his own, determined to force his way into King’s Court and be taken seriously.

But King’s Court is rife with its own family dramas, power struggles, ambitions, jealousy, violence and betrayal. King MacGil must choose an heir from amongst his children, and the ancient Dynasty Sword, the source of all their power, still sits untouched, waiting for the chosen one to arrive. Thorgrin arrives as an outsider and battles to be accepted, and to join the King’s Legion.

Thorgrin comes to learn he has mysterious powers he does not understand, that he has a special gift, and a special destiny. Against all odds he falls in love with the king’s daughter, and as their forbidden relationship blossoms, he discovers he has powerful rivals. As he struggles to make sense of his powers, the king’s sorcerer takes him under his wing and tells him of a mother he never knew, in a land far away, beyond the Canyon, beyond even the land of the Dragons.

Before Thorgrin can venture out and become the warrior he yearns to be, he must complete his training. But this may be cut short, as he finds himself propelled into the center of royal plots and counterplots, ones that may threaten his love and bring him down—and the entire kingdom with him.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A QUEST OF HEROES is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

“[An] entertaining epic fantasy.”
—Kirkus Reviews

This was fun. I have read all of Morgan Rice's material. I love all the characters in his books. I would have loved to seen more of the sarcasm shown in words rather than expression in this graphic episode. For example, when the three brothers ride away with the silver, you can hardly tell that they are mocking Thorgrin for not being able to go. The brothers are down right jerks in the novel.

Poorly done. I'm currently reading the sorcerer's ring series and I'm really enjoying it so it makes me sad that this graphic novel was so poorly done. I wouldn't mind the artwork if more of the story was given, but the way it is just doesn't work. The story deserves a better quality comic.

The beginning. I loved reading this book over again knowing how great Thorgrin is going to become. So cool to see the illistrations and the characters coming to life.

The Missing piece. The story needed a lot more than what it gave.

Poorly drawn, sketchy story. It is unfortunate that my first taste of Morgan Rice’s books was this graphic chapter. I was disappointed that the human figures were so poorly drawn, using only an overhead perspective that shrouded facial expressions and distorted proportions. Better to have chest or head shots with a rare full figure scene so proper closeup emotions can be shown. Please compare to a DC or Marvel comic. Also, the rather sketchy dialogue gave little clue as to the story and did not build anticipation for future chapters. The opening background was nice, however the overall reddish tones and lack of detail became boring. Rice’s written story may be very well done, but this amateurish graphic attempt does little to tempt a reader further.

You need to read my review before you read this book. This was utterly wretched to me. The illustration was fine enough but the dialogue was horrid. It was trying to be like a good graphic novel but ended up terrible. That's my opinion though you may find you like it.

<3 this book. I love this book I hope you will like it to I love it so so much so I don't know if you will like it or not but you probably will I love this book so yeah read this book.😎🤓

Quest of Heroes a graphic novel 1. Short and quick visual. Look forward to the next one.

<3. Its cool to see what I have pictured in my head for that scene in a graphic novel! Cannot wait to see more its one of my favorite books!

3/5 stars.... Decent.. not my type though

Nice start. Very strong beginning to the graphic novel series

Horrible. Ugh! Terrible artwork. Just horrendous.

Horrible. The art work is bad the story is bad the taste for magic and fighting and epic duels aren't there it's just a stupid kid running away from home it's SOOO bad

Nothing happens. This was fairly disappointing. The artwork isn't bad, but there are a lot of awkward angles and body 'movement.' Since this is only based on one chapter next to nothing happens and it wasn't captivating. Pretty disappointed overall.
