Move over Romeo and Juliet. Romeo meets Juliet meets modern day.... I wasn't sure how I would originally feel about his book with involving Motorcycle Clubs but I was instantly hooked. Ali is stuck in this small town with her stepfather, he won't let her leave after her mother has passed away. Its been 2 years and she's saving every penny she can to get with her sister. After a motorcycle club rolls into the bar Chase enters.... WOW.. instant heat comes from these too... Chase brings this new side out in Ali.... She's almost come alive inside... I really enjoyed this book and am so thrilled to have read it as an ARC.... of course there is a cliffy but it just makes you want to jump right into book 2!!

Finding Allie. I loved this book. Allie and Chase were wonderful. Both Allie and Chase have had a hard life, but they still fall in love. This book is a must read.

Heartwarming Story. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Finding Allie is book one in the Breaking Away series. Warning, I suggest downloading books 2 and 3 before starting to read Finding Allie because you will want to continue the story. From different yet similar worlds, each has found their soulmate in each other. Set against the backdrop of motorcycle gangs and drug dealings, the odds are against the couple. Meli Raine has crafted a love story between Allie and Chase that weaves its way into the heart of the reader.

Great MC Book. Loved loved this book - series!! I loved how the characters take you on a exciting ride. I fell in love with Chase & Allie and you will also. The series is one of the best I have read.

Great!. I rec'd an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a very intriguing new series and it really grabs you. I was fortunate to have a "snow day" today and got to read this first book of the series. I am glad that I already have the second book since the first leave you hanging a little. There is a ton of mystery in this book along with a sweet love story. Chase and Allie are adorable together plus have the chemistry of a young couple in love. Allie's story of her life with her step-father will really pull at your heart-strings. Chase seems to be her knight in leather instead of shining armor, riding in on a motorcycle instead of a white horse. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Love it!. I enjoyed reading this story, Allie plans on heading out of town, after learning her stepfather is up to no good. Then she meets the hottest alpha male and she is hooked. One hot alpha male and one lady equals hot loving!

Finding Allie. I happened upon this author while looking at suggested authors from a friend. So very glad I did! A story that starts out with Bob Seger's emotional and social rollercoaster of a song, "Turn the Page", should be enough to let you know what kind of a story this is going to be. Broken, beauty, yearning, and many more things. I HAVE to finish this series.

A Lovely Read!. Chase and Allie has learn a little about each other but he still a mystery to her. Her stepfather even a lot mystery that she want to solve to get answers since Chase came into her life!

Amazing Read!. Finding Allie is an amazingly beautiful and beautiful story. I love Meli Raine. Her stories always leave me eagerly anticipating more. Allie and Chase are on opposite sides of a very dangerous war. They aren't supposed to want one another but, they do. Will they be able to survive long enough to escape the war and be together? You just have to read it and find out.

Don't waste your time!. Reads like a young teen wrote it.

Finding Allie (Breaking Away Series #1) by Meli Raine. ** I received an ARC from the Author in exchange for my honest review ** This story totally stole my heart. The characters of Chase and Allie are beautifully written. I found myself completely captivated by this story and quickly devoured each and every word. This is the first in a three-part series that ends in a cliffhanger. I am a fan of a good cliffy but was glad I had book two waiting on my Kindle.

Loved It!. Loved this book. I really enjoyed these characters and the book had me hooked right away. I can't wait to read book two. I don't read a lot of MC books but I really liked this one. I was given an ARC for a fair and honest review.

Love at First Sight!. Finding Allie is a great beginning to this series. Allie is fighting for her life and her freedom from her obsessive stepfather. After meeting Chase during a bar fight, he becomes her knight in shining armor! I can't wait to read the next book where Allie finds herself fighting to get away from a scary drug cartel wanting to sell her body for profit. All thanks to her stepfather's promise to trade her virginity for payment. You gotta check it out to grasp her raw desperation in finding the truth to it all.

Not Your Typical MC Romance. Finding Allie is the first volume of this trilogy in Meli Raine's Breaking Away series. You're pulled in from the start, uncovering the background that has led Allie to her currently desolate and hopeless state of being. Having recently turned 18 and graduated from high school, Allie is working for her vicious and sinister stepfather, Jeff, at the bar he owns in their one-horse desert town. Allie believes that her mother's tragic death, two years earlier, wasn't the accident Allie's stepfather claims it to be, and she hasn't seen her beloved older sister, Marissa, since prior to her mom's death (when Marissa moved to L.A.). Allie's dream is to save up enough money, from the pittance Jeff pays her, to escape her current situation and join her sister in L.A. Then Allie unexpectedly meets Chase, when the motorcycle club he belongs to barges into her stepfather's bar and violence erupts and he protects her from harm. Even under those violent circumstances, Chase is the first person, since her mother and sister, who makes Allie feel safe. And similarly to Allie, Chase's ambition to become a motorcycle stuntman would require his desired break from his current lifestyle and move to L.A. Unfortunately, Chase and Allie's instant mutual attraction and desire to develop it is vehemently opposed by both stepfather Jeff and Chase's father, the MC president, Galt, enemies who know one another through shared illegal connections. Although I'm not usually a fan of MC related stories, this book doesn't appear to get too heavily involved into the motorcycle club interplay of drugs, violence and other illegalities. It is primarily the story of the developing relationship between Allie and Chase, the damages caused to each as a result of their family circumstances, and the mystery behind the deaths of both of their mothers. It's a quick and easy read and there is a lot of really good descriptive writing that involves you into the story. I also liked that it isn't your typical romance storyline. I was a bit put off by the unrealistic speed by which Allie and Chase's deep connection and claims of being in love with one another was developed, but given that this is supposed to be a modern day Romeo and Juliet type of story, I guess I may be looking for something that does not follow that drift. There is a cliffhanger ending, but I pretty much expected that as this is Volume 1 of a trilogy. I was more than sufficiently interested to read on and learn what occurs next. Fortunately, unlike many other trilogies I have read where you have to wait months for the release of the next volume, it appears that all 3 volumes will be released simultaneously, or in very close proximity of one another. I was completely captivated by this incredible journey, and I found that my heart is no longer my own. What a wonderfully exciting start to a promisingly brilliant journey of hope, love, and determination! Allie can't wait to escape the live that she has been forced to stay trapped in. While her sister was able to walk away and begin living her dreams, Allie is held captive into a life that she never wanted. She longs to leave her current existence in favor of running after her dreams. Just as those wishes make their way from her heart to her head, in walks a man who will turn her entire world upside down and right side up. He is everything she shouldn't want, but she knows that he is exactly what she needs and wants. Chase isn't looking for a love that breathes life into him and gives him a driving determination that he has been looking for when he walks into a bar for a refreshing drink, but that's exactly what he gets. Allie not only takes him my surprise, but shows him exactly what he has been wanting for a very long time - unconditional acceptance, untainted love, and refreshing challenge. He protects her from a fight that breaks out and in the process finds out that he wants to protect her forever. Will he lose the one ray of sunshine in his life, or will he fight for his heart and his future? Allie and Chase stole my heart, and I don’t want it back. They are from similar yet different worlds, and they are drawn to each other in a way that neither can explain nor want to fight. The more they get to know the other, they discover that they complement the other and cannot stop the intense pull to be together. Allie finds the missing piece to her heart, and Chase understands that Allie completes him in a way that he can’t explain and will not live without. Two characters that develop so exquisitely and pull at my heart like these two have are such a wonderful pleasure to read about. I can’t wait to read more of their deeply passionate and deceptively dangerous journey. Meli Raine’s debut series is simply outstanding! I love the danger, the intrigue, the passion, and the feeling of something that seems so very real. This feels more like someone’s honest life story instead of just a made up work of fiction. Within this story I have found a rare honesty and a breathless love that has gripped my heart and will not let go.

Fan from page one. Meli Raine draws readers into the story from page one with great attention to detail, strong characterization and fast-paced action. You'll want to read this entire series and then move on to Raine's other books.

LOVED this story!. A must read! Chase and Allie is a great love story you do not want to miss! Chase, in a way, is the knight in shining armor Allie has wanted. She's stuck in a life she doesn't want and doesn't deserve. In walks Chase and sees something isn't right. He practically falls in love at first sight when he sees Allie. This is book one and ends in a cliffhanger but I highly recommend this book and finish the three book series. Well worth the read!

Hot. Until meeting Chase, Allie has one specific goal-get out of town. Chase had one specific goal too but now it includes Allie. Finding out her stepfather is up to no good, Allie continues to seek comfort and safety in Chase's arms. Will both families destroy their new love? Meli Raine captured every emotion. This is a must read!

Finding Allie. Loved this book. The entire series was excellent.

A story filled with passion, love, ruthless family, and loyalty.. A modern Romeo and Juliet take with lots of twists. Allie is trying to escape her step father and Chase is trying to escape the life his father wants for him. When they meet sparks fly and the connection is immediate. As they think things are under control a curve ball is thrown their way. A story filled with passion, love, ruthless family, and loyalty. I can't wait to finish the series!

They'll be perfect together. I'm really liking this twist on the Romeo and Juliet tale. It's pretty obvious that the children of rival drug dealers aren't going to be allowed to fall in love with each other, but in spite of that the chemistry between Chase and Allie is unstoppable. I'm not sure if Allie's really naive or if she's been unconsciously hiding from the truth. And Chase is a little rough around the edges but so amazingly gentle with Allie. They'll be perfect together once they can get past both fathers.
