Every plot shift frustrating. Our 16year old Heroine has been given the emotional maturity of an 8year old. Every plot shift happens because she is utterly clueless, walks herself into danger and says,”Oh, how did that happen? I’m sorry everyone!” The device is weary from first use and “Heroine in danger” is the only! way the author advances the story. Even the character’s experience as a world & time traveler gives her no advantage-no strength & no insight into people or situations. The background music could be by Cindy Lopper; “Girls just Want to Have Fun,” as the adult characters keep telling her to stay where she is protected. And the young men are just as one-sided-idiotic as they lead her into danger. Does the author have children? Friends with children? Real life offers up extraordinary inspiration. I can applaud the lack of graphic violence but not the willful ignorance of her characters which leads to a dull range of feeling - mostly confusion - and an inability to reach for wisdom. What a frustrating read.

Amazing. I loved this book! When I saw it on fb I decided to give it a shot, I bought it and instantly I was hooked, I couldn't put it down.

I love this book. Omg I completely enjoyed this book could you please write another one and I really wish rafe finds a way that they can be together 😩😩😍😍😍

DNF. i can’t finish this. it just doesn’t grab my attention

If I could give it negative stars. Stupid and childish. Horrible story line, too much details on stuff that didn’t matter and not enough on stuff that did. Honestly how did this get published??

Great! But.... First off, I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea. It was a really great book! But there were grammatical and spelling errors at least twice every other chapter. It kind of throws out a little medieval, fantasy (and a bit mythological) vibe. I saw some other people say that she (Aurora) wouldn't get into as much trouble as she would if she would listen. This being true, but I criticize. If she hadn't gotten into all of that trouble, the story wouldn't be as tense as it was. (though it was only truly tense towards the end.) I love the book, but I don't know how all the errors got through the editor's eyes. It was a very good book, and I couldn't stop reading. But you could still fix a few things. (Also I hope Aurora goes back to the real world and beats the mess out Cornelia, her aunt, and her uncle...)

mixed emotions. as a fantasy genre fanatic, i’ve read my fair share of books like this. it was a quick, easy, and fun read. unfortunately, while i was reading the three book series, i noticed a lot of similarities to Sarah J. Maas’ books. these were probably coincidental but nonetheless, there were quite a lot. i still loved the world, characters, and plot. kudos to the author.

Don’t bother. Poor writing, clunky plot. Protagonist was unlikable. Supposed to be 16 but due to her thoughts, attitudes and behavior, I kept thinking of her as 7 or 8. Kept reading longer than I should have, waiting for something interesting to happen. I like to read when I’m bored. I don’t like to be bored when I read. There are better ways to spend your time.

Good read. Well written, storyline held my interest, character development was skilled. Finished the book wishing there was more.

Exceptionally amazing. One of my top favorite books by far!!! Don't stop writing you are a great author!!

The last of the firdrakes. I loved this story but hurry and make another because i want to know if prince rafe ends his wedding with letica amd stays with aurora and hopefully aurora gets her mother back and doesnt get killed first by morgana and her mother.

Wonderful. I love this book so much.I could never get tired of this series. Very well written. Please make more.

Love love love. I loved it when's the next one coming out

Free. I'm pretty sure I saw that you could read it free on wattpad.

Average fantasy novel with fairly irritating main character. I received this book from LovingDemBooks Booktube Tours in exchange for an honest review. The Last of the Firedrakes was a fun, fantasy read with many quirky fantasy aspects people who love this genre would enjoy. But, I did have a lot problems with individual aspects of this novel, even though I thought it was okay all together. First, the main character. I didn't really like the main character that much. Aurora played the role of a naive, selfish teenage girl who didn't think at all before acting. I was constantly getting frustrated with her because not only did she get herself in situations she wouldn't be in if she had listened to others, but she also constantly dragged other people with her. She would never fullt accept the blame of her actions, instead forcing others to go along with her in these idiotic quests. Also, I felt like she was constantly havign to be saved by someone/something else. YOU WOULDN'T NEED TO BE SAVED IF YOU HAD JUST LISTENED GAH. But, I did love her work ethic and though she was a very overpowered MC, I appreciated the fact that she did have to somewhat learn. There were also a bunch of cliches mixed throughout the novel. We had the abused orphan, insta-love, lost royalty, and almost every steretypical story device ever. This aspect caused the book to be very unsurprising when it came to "big plot twists." Nothing was truly "foreshadowed," but more "thrown at you with a brick." The other characters and the world were very fun and likeable. I think a big reason why I read parts of this book so fast were because I was just so interested in learning about the world. Though it wasn't the most original of kingdoms, there were still super cool magic systems and unique aspects. The other characters did follow a few stereotypes, but it wasn't nearly as bad at the MC. I enjoyed reading about all of the others' different personalities and their specialties. The romance was the strongest dose of insta-love I've experienced in a long time and that's saying something since I've been reading a lot of contemporaries recently. I was fairly aggrivated with it because it was like all over insta-loves, I felt that these characters didn't truly know each other before they were falling for the other. And the problem was, this romance played a huge part in the novel. Aurora's decisions and thoughts were constantly based on this insta-love, which made it even more prevalent and irritating. The writing felt fairly juvenile which I feel weird talking about, but it was a big part of reading for me. I felt that some of the words characters would say would feel unnatural (imagine Star Wars) and awkward. I am aware that the author was attempting a medieval/olden-times vibe, but it just still felt very weird to me. It wasn't only the dialogue, but also the fact that there were tons of cliches in the writing that I just... ARGHH "He's the most popular boy in school!" I rest my case. I wanted to address this more specifically, but the many cliches that this book had irked me. First, we had the fact that they were always eavesdropping? Is there no other way to get information? Really? Then, we have the fact that Aurora would literally butt her head into everyone else's business and get herself into a bunch of unnecessary trouble. Honestly, I just wanted to yell, "STAY IN YOUR LANE!!" throughout the entire novel. Also, even when in the midst of a super serious and important situation, the MC would STILL be thinking about the person she "loves" which made me want to legitimately shake her shoulders and yell at her to listen. Okay but honestly, I feel like I would've enjoyed this book a lot more if tHE MAIN CHARACTER DIDN'T IRK ME SO

I couldn’t finish.. I stopped half way through because the heroine is dumb as a box of rocks. I know this is YA fiction, but I’ve read some excellent YA stuff that would give any adult work a run for this money, and this was pretty juvenile. A for effort on the universe building I guess, but it was very complicated and just dumped on the reader. How many kingdoms are we dealing with? Who cares? Not sure what redeeming characteristics Aurora might have, but she wasn’t worth slogging through the rest of the book to find out.

Captivating fantasy world. The author weaves a world that is as exotic and enticing as it is dark and dangerous, throw in the right amount of teenage angst, add a few mystical creatures and the age honored battle of good vs evil, and you have a recipe for a promising epic fantasy series. The characters come alive. The story so richly detailed that you can almost smell the dank of the dungeons or taste the sweetness of the pastries . Well done Mrs Oomerbhoy, I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I have a feeling that this adventure will be one that we readers will not want to end.

The last of the gire Frames. I really enjoyed ready this book Very much, engaging from the beginning to de end

Surprising. It was surprisingly good, that's says a lot because I don't read these types of books. It was fun. Want to read more.

unhappy person. I read 5 pages and I gave up. I was confused because the book was free but now i know why. Main character is dumb and doesn’t understand emotions. Not worth reading.

Worth the read. I loved being sucked into this story. I couldn’t put it down and went through the series too fast. A great book about believing in yourself and friendship. The only I was a bit disappointed about is the ending. It felt like it was rushed. There was a big Lead up and it was over in a couple pages. But other than that, definitely worth the read!

The firedrakes. Omg I love this book so much the sequel needs to come out soon cause this book is fantastic

Best book ever. This is the best book I ever read but I seriously wanna know if rafe and aurora end up together and defeat morgana

Love it. Can't wait for the second book! Although I do admit it that the ending if the first book was not a good place to end the first book.

Omg. Where's the second book???? I need it or else I will pee my pants in anticipation (PS BUY "THIS TOWN" BY ONE DIRECTON'S NIALL HORAN ON ITUNES NOW)

Meh. Ok plot, but not very original. Some good characters. I strongly disliked the writing style. I finished the book, because I wanted to know where the story would stop with book one in the series. I do not feel the need to continue the series.

Awesome read. Loved great read!

Interesting story. I liked it a lot. I kept waiting for it to go to someone else in the story and tell parts from different perspectives but even though it never did the story never really became boring. Kept me wanting to read more. Good book.

Awesome book. Lovely book couldn't get enough of it finished it in two days ^~^

This series has everything!!. I had to stay in bed all day to finish this book. Magic, mystery, and romance all wrapped up in one book. It hits all of the things I like about this type of book. The descriptions of the food, the rooms, the clothes and more! I’ve got to buy the next one!

The last of the Firedrakes. Pretty good book but there is no conclusion. Need to read next book & the next etc. which of course we will probably have to purchase. Not happy about that.

Great book. Great book, good story line, quite original. Open ending so perhaps part 2 will follow?!

Awesome read!!. Can't wait for the next book on the series.

The last of the firedrakes. This is an amazing book and it took me 3 days to read and I just couldn't put it down I recommend this for young adults and highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Enchanting. A true pleasure to read.

Not so epic fantasy. A valiant effort, but I didn't enjoy this book. I don't think I've rolled my eyes so much in my entire life. The storyline is cliche and dare I say it, indulgent. The descriptions of places lack depth as did the characters and the lead protagonist is irritating. The writing is repetitive, as though the author doesn't trust her readers to keep up and considering the narrative is so very basic the effect is insulting. To compare this with Harry Potter is also insulting.

Wonderfully engaging page turner. Loved this escape from reality

The Last Of The Firedrakes. Amazing book. Finished in a day! Maybe there's gonna be a book 2? Plz?! Loved it!

The Last of the Firedrakes. An amazing book, loved it.. Can't wait to read the following one ❤️❤️

LOVE LOVE LOVE this story. I think this story is brilliantly written and just love the plot of the story so far. I can't wait until the next part of it is released.

Amazing. Absolutely loved this book!!

The last of the firelighters. Great book thanks for the read. Can't wait to your next one.

Great read. If you like fantasy novels, this one hits the nail on the head. It has all the characters you could want in a good story, that makes you keep wanting more. I started with the book 1 a week ago and have just finished the trilogy. Awesome read. Thank you to the author

Good plot line. I really enjoyed this book. The concept is great, but some of the homilies are off and some of the descriptions are a bit long winded. Also the main character is a bit hypocritical (a chimera saves her life by killing 4 attackers and she vomits but she kills 20 in a fit of rage and seems to feel little guilt. On the whole a very good book for a freebie tho. Looking forward to seeing the next one. Keep up the good work farah :)

Book 1. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; the characters, the writing style and the beautiful world that was created. I highly recommend this book.

Delighted. Absolutely loved this book. A very pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting it to be so good. Loved the storyline and can't wait till the next book.

Loved it!. I very much enjoyed reading this book. Looking forward to reading part 2.

BEST SERIES EVER!!. The most amazing series I’ve ever read, Oomerbhoy is so descriptive in her writing that I can picture every place in Avalonia like I’ve been there before! the action, the romance, the sheer depth of all of the Avalonia chronicles books is amazing! I’ve read the series twice now, it will always be my favourite! I hope that one day this is made into a film so I can watch it over and over again!!

Perfect. A really good book for fantasy and romance lovers. I loved it💖

Outstanding. This book was an amazing journey for all snide and outside the book. I cannot wait to read what's comes next.

Character growing up?. The story line is interesting. Orphaned at a young age, about 2 years old, Aurora was adopted by a lovely couple. Tragically, both her adoptive parents were killed in an accident. Aurora came to live with relatives who really didn't seem to want her around. Everything changed when her uncle brought her to an old English Manor. Aurora was pulled into a fantastic other world that seemed to be right out of the history books, but with a magical twist. t RAs I indicated, the story line is is enjoyable if you are a fan of fantasy, which I am. The characters, for the most part, are well written ... with one reservation.. I realize the character of Aurora is a 16 year old girl who would have normal teenage angst. However, there are certain aspects that are bothering me. Usually, when a young woman is faced with the realities that Aurora is, the young woman displays a maturity beyond her years to deal with these things. Glimpses of that maturity helps the reader "suspend their disbelief" when it comes to the character having grown up thoughts about a prince who is a few years older. Aurora's choices are what stand out to me as immature and frustrating. Many of them seem to stem from pouting and petulance. Perhaps that is a bit strong, but so was my reaction to a few of these major choices. For the most part, these choices incited major plot twists and advancement. Therefore, many of the results needed to be there, but, the advancement could have still been the same by creating the same outcomes without Aurora making silly choices. I still enjoyed the story and I will purchase the next book in the series. I just hope Aurora has matured a bit more. Thank you Krista Jasper

The Last of The Firedrakes. What could have been a decent story is ruined by the most insipidly stupid heroine ever.

Amazing!. Really good book. It’s like land of stories for a little older reader. I would recommend.

Awesome. I absolutely fell in love with Aurora. Her life is one of difficulty. She’s mistreated by her family and bullied Perhaps things can start to improve. The Narrator helps us see how her life changes. JackieT

love it ! a must read .. this book kept me up t night cause I just needed to know what was going to happen . a great storyline , amazing characters and a forbidding love to drive anyone crazy . I haven't been so obsessed with a book since Harry Potter . a delightful find . can't wait for the rest !
