Very tempting story. I really enjoyed Tempted by Fire. Erin Kellison’s inventive imagination puts a slightly different spin on the human female/dragon-shifting male trope. The hero is the one who is most tempted, not by dragon-fire, but by the heroine’s fiery spirit. When it turns out she’s more than he bargained for in unexpected ways - well, some temptations are too much to resist….

Tempted By Fire. I just finished Tempted by Fire by Erin Kellison. OMG, I loved this book. I haven't read many dragon shifter books but I have read many shifter books. I wasn't too sure what to expect. It started off a little confusing but I think that happens a lot with the first book in a series. You have so many people to meet to get the ball rolling. Then this book takes off! There is romance, suspense and a who-done-it all wrapped together. It had sooo much more than I've gotten used to with shifter books. I can't wait to see what happens next. Get this book and enjoy! I was given this ARC for an honest review. Thank you soooo much for the opportunity to read this wonderful book.

Dragons, wolves and assassins oh my!. I received this book for an honest review I first started reading Erin Kellison's books when I got the reveler series first book for free. I fell in love with her writing and style. In Tempted by fire she brings to us another set of characters that you can easily become attached to. Emerson "Ember" Clark was a child tossed into the foster system and knew nothing of her heritage, one quick choice to mark that she was bloodkind to help pay for college set her on her path. She becomes a mediator between Thane (the male lead) and the Heolstors over the remains of a woman dragon and her child, who were murdered. Thane is a dragon at the end of his life. The call of fading into the darkness has been calling him for years and he is about to give in till the bodies of his wife and son are found and some one has put a tempting fiery spirited mediator in the path of revenge. No one could predict what would happen when these two cross paths She has done it again. Crating a female lead that is strong and independent and not just sitting around waiting for others to save her and make choices on how she is to live her life. Our twisted hero is also a breath of fresh air , he's not your typical alpha, who totally dominates over the female lead and makes her bow to his whim and forces her to forget who she is to please him. Thane encourages Ember to be herself and seek her inner she dragon and courage. I love them as a couple The only bad part is I have to now have to wait for the next book.

Great new series. This book is super great. That really covers it for sure. I did not get free anything to write this and I as a rule don't do reviews but sometimes an author new or old hits a home run on something and they deserve the praise and also I want people to see this and give it a try. Ik they're are tons of shifter type books but this one is very original and wonderful world building. I believe this is a new author and I know I want the writing to continue I couldn't wait for book 3 to arrive and am now reading it I have no doubts it will again be worth the money and honestly I'd pay more. Some of these well knowns make a killing and are getting tired and sort of same thing different title this isn't the case here at all. Can't rave enough about this series gets better and better. Intrigued within just a chapter, hooked within 3!!!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle -Actual rating 4.5 Skulls Erin Kellison busts into the hot and popular dragon shifter sub-genre with a unique take on the mythos and captivates readers with strong and witty characters, a millennia old mystery, blood feuds, slayers, and so much more. The world building is well thought out and beautifully built, building on that age old adage" Here there be dragons" and bringing it into today's world. Thane and Emerson are a super fun couple. I felt she was a little naive at first, but I absolutely loved her spunk. And Thane... Can I just say 'sigh.' Their chemistry was intense and sexy, and the way he went from wanting to be done with his long life to wanting to live... for her... was utterly enchanting. Beautifully written in a way that made the reader feel like they were falling in love. Kellison sticks to her dark and dangerous roots and gives us plenty of danger, action, and twists and turns, and the supporting characters left me wanting (and hoping) that we'd find out more. All in all it was utterly enthralling and I couldn't put it down. If you're a shifter fan, a dragon fan, or even just a paranormal romance and/or urban fantasy fan, I think you will utterly enjoy Tempted by Fire and I cannot wait for the next book in the Dragons of Bloodfire series!

Loved this book!. I absolutely loved this book! Started reading it this evening and honestly couldn't stop until I had finished the book. I immediately fell in love with the characters. The book is so well written (as all her books are) that before you even realize it your 200 pages in. I would absolutely recommend this book and can't wait for the next one to come out!!

Awesome!. Love, love, love this book! Lots of action, great story and great characters. I'm a big fan of dragon shifter books and this one did not disappoint in any area. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review, but I would definitely buy. Can't wait for the next one!

Fun quick read and good writing. I enjoyed this writer much more than most paranormal writers out there and I’ve read waaayyy too much paranormal romance, I keep coming back for more though looking for the next interesting storyline and great writers keep pulling me back, this is one of them. I wish the story had kept going or had even more plot development because I was really enjoying the characters she presented.

Love Dragons. A great Dragon love story. Intrigue, drama,action,mystery,angst,romance. Love thane and Ember. A good read.

Loved it.. Gifted copy for honest review. I loved reading Tempted by Fire. The characters Thane and Emerson were great. The story was outstanding, you have dragon shifters, wolf and even a vampire. I highly recommend this to anyone into paranormal romance.

Strong Characters and Great Writing!. 4.5/5 Tempted by Fire is Erin Kellison's first book in her Dragons of Bloodfire series. Kellison brilliantly lined the pages with deep character and world building, creating a page turner until the end. My least favorite thing about this book was the length. I wanted more! Even with the lean number of pages, Kellison manages to pack a surprising amount of back story for several of the characters onto the pages. Their backstories really made the characters into people you wanted to know more about. Kellison pulls away from the typical romance cliche of the two love interests having a falling out and one of them having to come around or make up for some huge mistake. Thane and Emerson's dance was more of a gentle glide of two people simply connecting, regardless of their differences. Both of these individuals were likeable in their own right and all in all the story was brilliantly written. The world Kellison created was a unique view of dragons. Although, we only got a taste of the entire world It truly left me wanting more! I think any lover of paranormal romance will enjoy Tempted by Fire. I was provided a courtesy copy of this title for the purpose of providing an honest review.

Here There Be Dragons. I received an ARC copy of Tempted By Fire for an honest review and, honestly, I have mixed feelings. The story itself was very engaging. I am new to this author's work, but I really got caught up in the characters quickly. I read this book the day I received it and it was a quick read. The characters were well developed and the story drew me in, though I felt like there were things that I was missing. The book is a stand alone, but I felt like maybe, even though this was the first book in the series, I had missed some background or history that would have helped me understand the characters better. Overall, I would have given the book a 3.5 if I were able, but that wasn't an option, so I rounded up. I liked the story but felt like the ending was very abrupt and the story wasn't complete. Furthermore, there are obviously going to be more books in the series, but the reader really isn't given a clear indication if future books will be about the same characters or if they will focus on other characters. It wasn't a cliffhanger ending, but it just left me with questions. I will definitely read future books in this series because I can certainly see the potential and I may even look up other books that were released previously to see if this sort of ending is the norm. I love dragons and dragon shifters aren't featured often, so I am hopeful that this will develop into a really great series.

Tempted by Fire from Dark and Damnerous 8. I love the stories Erin writes. This story of Thane and Ember has so much action as well as love. I loved the dragons. Such a twist in the ending I did not see coming. Wolves are special and I enjoy them. This was a book that kept you guessing all thru the book. You will become involved and not be able to put it down. Love the characters and the action of the story. Really loved Matthew who was Thanes special guard, houseman. More like family than anything. Its just filled with wonder and I loved it. Thanks Erin.

A great introduction to the bloodkin world. Having read book 2 first I had an understanding of the bloodkin world Erin has created but having now read this I would recommend starting here. This book sets the scene of the human, bloodkin, wolfkin world and how they operate side by side. I love how Erin has merged them together in a different but completely believable way to other fantasy novels. Emerson is a great character to follow, she has gumption and strength but also a vulnerability hidden in disbelief about the bloodkin world. You find out more about her family towards the ends of the book but would have liked there to be more about her parents and her early life. I loved Thane and his relationship with Matthew, a true friendship that has stood the test of time. I smiled often at their dynamic, especially when Emerson was also involved. Thanes character was well built, you really understand and empathise with what he's been through and then his journey for resolution. All in all a really good read, a great filler for an afternoon/evening.

Dragon shifters murder and mystery. Great read, good pace, good story, creative believable world, interesting and well developed characters! And for once a clever author who lets you into her fictional world of her first book and actually finishes the initial story! Yes things will carry on in the following books and you do want to read on and delve more into this world of intrigue, but unlike countless other writers which write 1 story that should be in 1 book and instead eek it out over 3 or 4 books, literally stopping in the middle of the story to make you buy the next book Erin finishes her book properly and makes you want to read more and buy the next one! Other writers annoy me by not writing a complete book and therefore I refuse to buy any more. Erin writes a full story and still makes you want to read more of her work as a professional author should! Thanks Erin I thoroughly enjoyed your first book in this series and I will be buying more!
