Breaking Him. This book was so disappointing. Two tortured souls hell bent on destroying each other. When I read romance, I want the happily ever after.

Breaking Him. R. K. Lilley. I love this book so much! It's my favorite R . K. Book so far. She just keeps getting better and better. She keeps hitting them out of the park. Scarlet is the best character.

Left hanging. I liked the book a lot, entertaining, but I don't like the fact that I have to wait for another book to read what happens between Dante and Scarlett. It's a messed up love story but why make us wait. I do hope the next book has a really good ending.

Enjoyable, quick read...but oh, the typos!. The storyline is great, but I found myself cringing over the many typos and grammatical errors (personal pet peeve). The characters are quite over the top, but the back stories are cute and provide insight into their current mindsets. I'm still confused on the ending but have hopes the next story will fill me in.

Full of rich emotions. Breaking him As with all R.K. Lilley books this one delivers! She has a beautiful way of writing characters with such internal struggles and destructive nature's yet making them completely lovable and desirable and rich with emotions. I love the technique she uses in this book by alternating between the present day and the past. It helps enrich the characters by revealing parts of their dynamics piece by piece as we flash back and forth. Fans who love her work in the "Up In the Air" series will love this one too.

Another great book. It took me a little bit to get into the story but once I did I couldn't put it down. Cannot wait for the next book.

Breaking Him. I would give this book an infinite amount of stars if I could! RK Lilley has truly outdone herself yet again with Breaking Him. I have been a huge fan of hers for a while and love everything she writes but something about this one really spoke to me. I was hooked instantly and became obsessed with the characters. I always ask myself what was I thinking when I'm reading a book with such pain and heartbreak but then I remember that those are the best kind of books. RK is an expert at both of those and making me feel what the characters feel, even if it's only a sliver of their feelings. I became so absorbed in the characters and the story that I felt like I was a part of it. Scarlett and Dante are both such strong characters. Scarlett is a fierce, witty, independent woman with such a big heart that she keeps protected. Even though she's been through hell and back and had her heart completely shattered, she is full of fire and very protective of and loyal to the important people in her life. Dante is like a giant teddy bear. While only a very few people see that side of him, he is insanely protective and would do anything for the ones he loves. He and Scarlett are very similar. They are both passionate, no nonsense people and will do anything to protect one another. What I love about this story is that Scarlett and Dante have know each other practically their entire lives and they grew up together in every way possible. They started out as friends. They were never just an ordinary pair of friends though, they always had this special bond between them. From the moment they became friends they were each other's world. As their friendship grew so did their bond and their feelings. The fact that they were each other's first love warmed my heart and had me rooting for them the entire time. Their love was so innocent and pure before it became so broken and destructive. When they're together, they're dynamite and you can feel how strong and deep their connect is. It breaks my heart that there is something so awful between them that is keeping them apart. I am dying to know what it is because they are perfect for one another and are destined to be together. One of my favorites quotes is when Scarlett is referring to Dante and says, “There is only one heart in this universe that calls to mine, and it does call. Constantly, relentlessly, it sings out to me in a captivating, resonating voice. Day after day, year after year, it calls to me.” If you weren't rooting for them before, you'd have to be after that! I found their banter hilarious but I also felt my heart crack every time they would say or do something to intently hurt the other. You can feel how in love they still are, so any time one of them took a jab at the other it was so painful and I could only imagine how they felt. The entire book was a roller coaster of emotions and the last two chapters completely shattered me. I am really looking forward to the next book to fill in some of the blanks and see how their story ends. There is something so incredibly special about their love. Another one of my favorite quotes was when Dante said, "All we are is proof that love can survive anything.” I'm just hoping that is true and that they will be able to find a way to work out everything that has been put in their way. This was a beautifully written story!

Mind blown. I don’t usually read “romance” novels but this one captured me and I finished in 2 days... this book captivated my whole attention and reminded me of a relationship I could relate with. Can’t wait to start the next book. I love the slight mystery of it as well. Not knowing the reasons why...

Outstanding story!!!!. I absolutely love RK Lilley's work, and this story just adds to my measure of devotion to her writing! Phenomenal story telling skills! I picked it up and finished it in less than a day, because I simply COULD NOT put it down! Dante and Scarlett have such a RICH past that holds SO many keys to their future. A mystery all of their own, and so many secrets left to unlock in the conclusion novel- that I HAVE to begin TODAY!!! If you love a great romance that you have to try and put the pieces of he puzzle together, but you can't guess where to find all the pieces, this is an amazing one to read!!!!

Disappointed. What happened to the publishers & writers of Jackie Collinsesque romance novels? I miss the days when each book took you through the characters from first page to last! I love RK Lilley books, don't get me wrong, love the way she ties other books characters into the current one, but unlike Tristan & Danika, I couldn't connect with these characters, couldn't picture them in my mind. The continual back & forth made me lose the story line, too many non descript characters thrown in and out & I personally am getting tired of cliff hangers, & waiting FOREVER for the next book to release. RK is an accomplished writer & if each book were an individual story I'd buy it. Please quit the cliff hanger books & give us a "great" "full" story.

Wow!. I read this in less than a day. Honestly, I was gonna give up in the beginning. For some reason, Scarlett being so hard right out the gate turned me off but I kept going. I'm so glad I did. Off to buy the next one. I can't wait!

Amazing. First I didn't know what to expect with this book , I started last night and I couldn't put it down until I finished it . It gutted me , I'm still confused and I was left with a huge cliffhanger . The story begins in the present time with two ex lovers who have this love/hate relationship . Both of them are out for each other's blood. Why you ask ? What happened between them ? I still don't know . You see, the story keeps going from present to past , past to present working up the story and the events that lead Dante and Scarlett to brake up a obviously once in a lifetime love story . This two met very young in school , he a rich privilege kid , she is dirt poor girl , who's mother abandoned her in a trash bin just hours after she was born. Fighting for survival Scarlett is not a shrinking violet . Their story develops and becomes this bigger than life love affair has they grow up . Now as adults , something torn them apart . This book really hooks you from beginning to end , I just wished it , to know what truly happen to separate this two , their love making is more like wild I hate your guts but can't stop loving you . I can't wait for book number 2.

What. RK Lilley is the bomb.com. What can I say this is one of the best authors I ever experienced every book takes you there. Can't wait for the next one.

Fantastic. R. K. Lilley please keep writing. This book caught me from page 1. It takes the imperfect characters through heartbreak, laughter and everything in between and made them imperfectly beautiful together. It tore at my heart, but made me laugh in the next beat. Really it made me feel what the characters felt. I couldn’t put it down. Thanks for the amazing read.

Holy Sh*t. I’m not quite sure how to describe this story. It’s one of those books that pulls you in and you can’t devote your time to any other thing, until you completely devour the whole story. I have no complaints about this book.

HOLY HELL!. This book is AMAZING! Dante and Scarlet are two ridiculously strong and stubborn yet emotional and beautiful lead characters. Buy this book, it's s cliff hanger but it is worth every page, every dollar. I can't even describe how much passion and hate it evoked in me. I'm sad I have to wait but there's s strange excitement in the fact there's MORE. Wonderfully written, multidimensional characters. Their chemistry and their bond is so achingly powerful.
