Meh. Storyline was something I had read before, but we’ll-told. That being said, it would have been better written had they not taken over two chapters to fill with descriptions of sex.

The Haunting of a Duke. Loved this book. It is well written and the only thing I didn’t like was at the end didn’t find out if the baby was a boy or girl. I actually read it twice. Very entertaining.

Interesting story. Lots of mistakes.. I stared reading this but stopped after the second time I felt it skipped major events. Luckily, there was an update that seemed to fix it. It was fine all the way til chapter 16 which was a repeat of an earlier chapter, and the epilogue repeated twice. So as of early morning 7-15-16, there are still download errors. However, skipping the repeats seems to keep the story in order without confusion. As for the story, it was an interesting paranormal-light take on historical romance. I was into the mystery and liked the characters. However, the author needs to do more research on titles. A simple google search will solve the issues. I'm no expert but I have looked this up myself out of curiosity. Ex. Married ladies are typically "Lady Surname" yet she referred to the duke's mother and aunt as Lady Phyllis and Lady Eleanor. Also, the author seemed inconsistent with what she called the duke. Most peers have multiple names, but all his names were not clear--nor were the connections to his extended family. So author, if you read this, I implore you to do a bit more research. Re-read this story and edit name clarity issues. Maybe introduce the duke in full. You also might add a disclaimer about how lady Phyllis and Eleanor prefer to go by their youthful titles. Idk. I think you're talented story-teller but need to do more research and need to recruit a friend to help edit the book (if you do not have an editor/assuming you self publish) as there are lots of mistakes throughout.

The Haunting of a Duke. The storyline and plot of this book is basically a good one. However, the first half is disjointed. In addition to the typos and grammar mistakes, it is obvious that the proof reader and/or editor did not do their job as Chapter 10 is a word for word repeat of Chapter 1. In fact chapters 10, 11, & 12 are repeats of the first three chapters. I think this author has potential, but I would not recommend this book until it has been properly proof read & cleaned up.

Good book. So glad they updated it to have the chapters in order. It was a good book with twists and turns.

The Haunting of a Duke. This book was very hard to follow. Probably because it was either not edited. Or throw on iBooks without thought to semblance of order. Someone may want to check into this. I know this could not reflect well on the author, editor or proofreader.

Spellbound could not put it down. From start to finish it was thrilling to read this book, and would definitely refer a friend wonderful characters and the plot was thrilling to read….ending was a complete shocking surprise

Fire the editor. At first I was confused by the huge gaps in the storyline, but then the book started over at chapter 10. I stuck with it as the story began the same then filled in some of the gaps in the prior chapters. Some of the storyline wasn't even the same, though. Really too bad because edited properly, I think it would have been a good story.

The Haunting of a Duke. The story is quite good, and I liked the characters (or hated them where earned), but the book itself is a physical mess. I would give it more stars but for the fact multiple chapters are repeated and out of order, making parts of the story confusing until the relevant missing material appears. Apparently the book is haunted also, by a gremlin! The publisher needs an exorcist.

Disappointed. I'm not sure if it was how my book downloaded but for me the novel was unreadable seeing as how the chapters were out of order. Chapter ten was chapter one repeated and many events happened after they were referenced to by the characters. I did not realize the order, however, until about chapter six. What I was able to read was intriguing I just wish I could finish the novel and read it in the way the author intended.

Happy. It’s nice to find new authors. She is good and I have hopes for her.

Very satisfying ending. Although I could tell where the story line was going, I was also enjoying the romance and character developments, as well as the occasional plot twists. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading others in the series.

Excellent. A very pleasant surprise . The books dark and somber mood intermittent with romance and twists kept me engrossed through out . Though the individual point of views of characters told in successive paragraphs sometimes got confusing but once you get the hang of it , the reading flow is better . Loved it.

A good story. I enjoyed the mystery, but it was too full of romance to be a favourite book. Sometimes saying a little less about sexual attraction would make these stories more readable.

Missing. I'm sad and I was enjoying this book when the story started skipping I realized that the chapter is missing and things weren't lining up I really hope it gets fixed because I would love to read this book in the whole

The Haunting of a Duke. I always enjoy trying new authors and can highly recommend this one. The writing is clear and concise, the plot is intriguing and the storyline moves along, giving the reader a satisfying twist and turn until the final chapter. I love a book where I can't predict the ending by the middle of the book and this is definitely ones of those books. I couldn't put it down.

Good and bad. The storyline was very good! But, unfortunately the editing was terrible! After chapter 12, first 3 chapters repeated. Then story started again, only to find that whole chapters happened before chapter 12. What a mess!

Lovely, fun read w/ a spooky edge.. I just finished reading this book & truly loved it. A tear actually escaped. It wasn't too spooky a story as I was able to read it at night, but spooky enough to make me question a midnight bathroom break. Eek! The characters were great & I genuinely want to learn moe about them. Lovely, fun read.
