The Chase

The Capture

Unfortunately, she isn’t the one on vacation, and while she can’t wait to get her heartthrob alone, she also can’t say no when the mayor of Los Angeles asks for her help in ridding the city of illegal knockoffs.
Being too dedicated for her own good backfires when Jo ends up on a killer’s hit list. Gabe wants Jo to back down; she’s not about to. As the danger escalates, so do their feelings for each other. All Jo’s ever wanted is to expand her task force nationwide. Now, with her life on the line, Jo must decide if heading the taskforce is worth sacrificing it all, including a future with the man she loves.

Exciting journey!. The Chase: Gabe and Joanna are on a task force to track down counterfeit merchandise for one of Jo’s clients (she is an attorney). They are both determined, driven, and want things to run their way. Problem is, neither of them will back down. The story was very interesting to me because it isn’t a common plot that I have run across, so I was engrossed in the story from the beginning. When you throw in two strong personalities, a few bad guys and a lot of great dialogue between the main characters, you have an entertaining story that is hard to put down. Adrienne does a really good job of setting up this series. I look forward to reading more about Gabe and Jo and watching them navigate this relationship of theirs while they try to bring down the one of the biggest smuggling operations of counterfeit merchandise in New York. I highly recommend The Chase to anyone looking for a fun, witty, romantic suspense read! The Evasion: As the follow up to The Chase, I can tell you that The Evasion had me even more engaged. I love following the same main characters in a series and getting to know Jo and Gabe even more was quite the treat. Watching them work together since they have acknowledged their attraction for one another was icing on the cake! While I recommend reading The Chase first, you could still pick this one up and enjoy it. The Capture: After reading an early copy of this, I have to say, it is the best of the series! I absolutely loved watching Jo and Gabe's relationship continue to move forward in this one. I also enjoyed the suspense aspect and wrap up of the series. It all ended great in my opinion! If you like romantic suspense, give this series a try.
Hot & Sexy Read. Fun, sexy, fast moving set of short stories by a great author. The 3 part series kept me interested & engaged & I really enjoyed it. The interaction between Jo & Gabe is feisty & loving, & I love that they are both strong individuals that give & take to make the relationship work. Interesting story topic too. I'm usually not a fan of short stories but this one being three parts that I read all at once made it seem like a book so it didn't bother me.
