😍. carrie is my spirit animal

Messy. I have always loved the writings of Carrie Fisher. Her untimely passing was sad. However, this book was mostly weird ramblings sprinkled with vague details of her brief fling with Mr. Ford way back when. Honestly, it was kind of boring. Then suddenly the book ended. The first couple chapters are funny, but then goes downhill in my humble opinion. Not worth the $12.99 price I paid to download.

Disappointing. [This was a library book so it won't show as a verified purchase. I am voluntarily reviewing it] I was a big fan of Carrie Fisher. I am a huge fan of Star Wars:A New Hope. I am also a fan of first person memoirs... until.....this one I am giving this two stars for the pictures scattered throughout. However, the writing felt forced, in part because of her age at the time. The book was horrible! Not even the pictures saves it. Where is the Carrie Fisher of Postcards from the Edge? Was this bad because she was ill? So disappointing.

Wonderful Insight. Great read. Wonderful insight into Someone who's been in the public eye for 40 years.

Different than her other work. More raw.. This one felt really different from all of her other books. It was a little less funny and a little more raw. And I still loved it. It took me a year to read because I knew once I finished it there would be no more new words from her, but I’m glad I finally read it. Love this woman. RIP, Carrie! We miss you, #SpaceMom

The Princess Diarist. I loved Wishful Drinking but this one missed the mark except for Carrison!

Carrie Fisher's Princess Diarest. Excellent book, it shows Carrie Fisher's youth and fling with Harrison Ford. I enjoyed every minute and moment of this book. It's sad that this is Carrie Fisher's last book due to her death. I would recommend this book if you idolize Carrie Fisher as the Princess Leia we all came to know and love.

Enjoyed. I rarely read books, but being a Star Wars fan I was excited about this one. It's was nice to hear Carrie's perspective on events and retell memories I would have never known. Carrie will be missed.

These aren’t the diaries you’re looking for. This is just a heads up for Star Wars diehards looking for some real insights or behind-the-scenes stuff from making the first film: look elsewhere. A more apt title for this one would have been Carrison: I Had an Affair With Harrison Ford and I Was Really Insecure About it. If you’re a huge Carrie Fisher fan, then this is probably worth a read for her voice and some personal, emotional memories. But if you’re hoping to learn much about shooting the movie, you’ll be very disappointed.

Must Read. A wonderful sweet book. I enjoyed every word of it. I had no idea that Carrie was such a talented writer. RIP Carrie. You made Princess Leia immortal.

Carrie Fisher was Amazing. Carrie Fisher as princess Leia in the Star Wars movies was one of the greatest movie characters ever. I loved princess Leia a lot. She was one of my favorite all time movie characters ever. We will miss Carrie so much.

One of the best. This book helps get a better understanding of the life that Carrie fisher lived at a young age and the juicy details between her and Harrison Fords affair. This was a book I could not put down I just needed to now how things happened and what's happening next. I suggest this book to anyone who is looking for a funny/serious book to read

Only one chapter "behind the scenes" zzzzzzz. I was really looking forward to reading what happened behind the scenes of one of my most memorable childhood movies. The workings behind what you see on the screen has always intrigued me and I know what I would do if I could do it over. Anyway, this book IMO is zzzzzzzzzzzz. The only behind the scenes is a mention of an affair between Fisher & Ford. There is 100 pages of a young girls ramblings (Carrie's diary I'm assuming) of her feelings and poems. I didn't even read them fully as I found myself skimming these pages hoping for more. After her diary entries she then proceeds to go into fans 'rants'. There is nothing of note for behind the scenes. I was hoping for anecdotes between cast and crew, her experiences with Lucas, the workings of a movie set,etc. I have about 50 pages left in the book but wanted to post this review in hopes of saving the next person money. If you're really interested in the 'affair' portion I'm sure someone will post that chapter online somewhere soon. If you never read it you aren't missing anything. I do not recommend this book.
