Lexi's done it again. This story had me hooked fast. Kind of figured out early who all the "bad" people were of the story, but didn't lesson the appeal. The Lawless family's story makes you want to seek the justice for them!! Can't wait for they next villains demise!!

Great story about revenge, loyalty, family and love.. The title of the book sets up Riley to a certain type of man and to a certain extent he is. But when he meets his mark, Ellie, for the first time, she is not he expected. He is determined to do what it takes to bring down the man who had a hand in his parents murder, but the more he gets to know Ellie, the more he wants to protect her from the fallout. Ellie instantly falls for Riley, but when she learns that he was involved in events that hurt her company, she is heartbroken. I loved that Riley did everything in his power to help Ellie, even if it meant going against his family. Luckily for him, his family he did not have to choose. Great story about revenge, loyalty, family and love. Looking forward the rest of the series! 4.5 stars I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. Romance, suspense, revenge. Riley is seeking revenge along with his siblings for the deaths of his parents at the hands of a ruthless corporate shark. He will do whatever it takes to get back at the people who ruined their lives. Even sleep with the enemy. Which turns out not to be such a hardship, but can he keep his emotions in check and concentrate on the job at hand take down Castlleno's company or will finally falling in love bring down Riley instead. Ellie's father told her a terrible secret on his deathbed, she knew he was a horrible man but never thought he he would go so far as to commit murder. Ellie plans to take steps to make things right, can she erase the damage her father did or will she be destroyed in the process? This is the first book in the Lawless Series and once again Lexi Blake hits it out of the park. I was entralled iwth the characters from the first chapter. Ellie has been through a lot in her life a neglected childhood and then working her way up the ranks in her fathers company she never had time for love. Then lawyer Riley walks into her office and turns her orderly world upside down. He literally takes over and in away Ellie realizes she needs that someone on her side someone to take care of her. But is it real? Riley wants to avenge his parents' deaths but he never expected to fall for the beautiful Ellie. When he does he falls hard. I loved Riley, he was all alpha male and take charge just what Ellie needed. Ellie thinks she can't trust anyone around her even her friend Lily and especially her half sister. Riley makes himself her go to guy, until he betrays her trust OMG that was tough to swallow but as always Lexi Blake gives us twists, and turns that shock and amaze. The Lawless siblings were so fun to read as well, their love and loyalty to each other was so real. I also like the character of Hatch would love to know more of his back story. I could not put this book down and I am so excited for the next books in the series. Brandon's story is going to be awesome a teddy bear with a dark side! If you like your romance with suspense and lots of drama this is the book for you.

Loved it. I loved this book because the story is exciting and keeps you engaged. Great characters introduced but she brings in Chase and Mia from original series. I am definitely stoked to ready the other two books in this series.

Review: Lawless 1: Ruthless. Ruthless by Lexi Blake is the first book in her brand new series Lawless. It is an erotic and steamy tale filled with plot twists and turns and suspense that will leave you avidly turning each page just ready to devour more and more and more of Riley and Ellie's story as well as the entire Lawless clan. Ellie is the target - she has done anything wrong but the sins of the father will be visited upon his daughter. The Lawless siblings are out for revenge and she is part of their end goal. They don't realize that she knows how terrible her father was and is nothing like him, not until it's too late anyway. Riley has a mission - get close to and infiltrate the life of Ellie Stratton in order to allow their revenge plan to be successful. What Riley doesn't expect and pretty much gets blindsided by is his bone deep attraction to Ellie. That was never part of the plan and now the plan must change. But with years of planning in the works will this cause everything to fail catastrophically? Amazing book, well-written and well-paced with characters you just want more of, like all the time, more! I loved it and cannot wait for the next book (Brandon's story), Satisfaction expected in January 2017.

Loved it. Very exciting. Lots of twists. Suspenseful. I must say I did figure out one of the surprised conspirators. Read the book in two days. Ellie was a bit of a whiner with no self-esteem. Although I understood the reasons behind it, it still drove me crazy. I loved the Lawless clan. Interesting group. Riley was perfect for Ellie. Well developed characters. Looking forward to the next book. Enjoy.

Great start to a new series. I have read and loved all in the Masters & Mercenaries series by Lexi Blake and when I heard that she had a new series coming out I eagerly jumped at the chance to read and review it. I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed and Ruthless is the start of another fantastic series. The Lawless brothers Riley, Drew, Brandon, and their sister Mia, are bound and determined to seek revenge on those they hold responsible for their parents’ murders 20 years ago. Separated after their parent’s death and out into the foster care system, the siblings fought to regain control of their lives whilst actively seeking revenge. Their lives were not easy and it is from this that they draw their strength and their commitment to seek justice for their parents. Ellie Stratton is the daughter of one of the men responsible and it is through her they intend to start their plans of revenge. Riley is the brother tasked with getting close to her, although he doesn’t count on his almost instant attraction to her. Riley struggles with his feelings for Ellie as he works both against Ellie and with her as her new lawyer, so much so that he becomes uncertain if he can go through with the plans that they have made to bring her down. When Ellie’s life is threatened, she is shocked to find out that Riley is determined to seek revenge for his parents and this in turns threatens the relationship that is building between them. Will he risk the love that has formed to seek the revenge that has been planned for most of his life? Or will he let the past go for the woman who has come to mean so much to him? The chemistry between Riley and Ellie was sizzling. I loved how Riley gave Ellie the confidence that had been trampled in her previous marriage. There was mystery, intrigue, suspense, hot alpha men and as you can expect from most books from Ms. Blake some moments of humour. I love Lexi Blake’s writing style; no one does romantic suspense like she does. Riley and Ellie are meant to be together; two halves of a whole. Ruthless is one of those books that in many parts, you read and go, wait, no, did that really happen? I am eagerly anticipating the other books in the series. I believe Brandon is next and then Drew and I am excited for their stories. You also get a glimpse of some of the M & M characters as Mia is now married to Case Taggart.

Joking. You won't get many readers at this extortionately priced book, there are better books out there for much less. Quinny

Loved it. As a massive fan of the masters and mercenaries series I was so excited to read about the new trilogy spin off. The price did put me off a bit, however I was sucked in by the sample, and happily paid the money to get more of Lexi. Great characters and intriguing storyline, as usual the humour is divine and the passion high. Both main characters are delightfully flawed and I enjoyed seeing more of the Lawless men after catching glimpses in M&M. For a full length novel the price is higher than usual but it was worth it.

OVERPRICED. $16.99, when it's $1.99 (on sale) in the US, is crazy stuff. No wonder there are so few reviews for this and other Lexi books
