Great reading!. Instaread’s Key Takeaways, Analysis & Review of Extreme Ownership is an outstanding synopsis of the book, giving the key teaching points and an analysis of the structure and tone. It also gives the authors’ backgrounds, establishing their credentials regarding the subject matter. Another excellent introduction to a book that will give you its main points and help you decide if you want to read it.

Done it again!. Instareads has done it again and given a wonderful summary of this book "Extreme Ownership" written by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin. The purpose of the book is to help guide you in applying leadership principles from the Navy SEALS to your business or work in general. From what I was reading this even looks like it could be a book that is beneficial to read just to use the principles in your everyday life.

page numbers are misleading. The summary is okay. The total page count is misleading because each page has about two paragraphs. It summarizes each of 12 lessons and that’s it. It then gives maybe 2 more paragraphs on the author’s perspective. For the price, I suppose that’s good enough.

This Instaread summary is a quick read and a great buy, condensing the self-help book into 12 key takeaways with actionable tips to improve your business skills.I especially liked the section of this review that described the need for simplicity in plans. As a leader, your goals and principles should be simple to understand, so that everyone involved in the process can follow and complete the objective. If there is unnecessary complication that requires explanation, your coworkers will struggle to succeed.

Complete Ownership!. Noted for their ability to accomplish seemingly impossible missions, the Navy SEAL teams are the epitome of leadership. Extreme Ownership: How US Navy SEALs Lead and Win by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin is a guide to applying SEAL leadership techniques in the civilian world. The main takeaway of this book is that a leader must take complete ownership for those aspects of an organization for which he (or she) is responsible. Two former combat SEAL team leaders, Willink and Babin maintain that teams are only as good as their leaders, egos are obstacles to finding solutions, and discipline in teams results in more freedom for team members to excel.
