In winter Mackinac closes down and everyone looks forward to the ice bridge that freezes across the Straits of Mackinac.
Until Hannah disappears into the icy waters crossing it.
Everyone says it's an accident. But Charlotte and her admirer cop friend, Mac, don't think so. Something isn't right. Hannah was too smart to go off the path.
So it's murder…but why…how…by whom?
In the end, it's Mac–and perhaps Hannah's ghost–who saves Charlotte and Bess's lives when the killer decides they're too close to the truth and tries to kill them, too.

The Ice Bridge. I’ve never been to Mackinaw Island but have heard so much about it. Seems to be a lovely setting for a love story with ghosts and murder tossed in. I enjoyed the book a lot.
The Ice Bridge is worth crossing.. Being from Michigan is what drew me to this book and I am so glad it did. There is much in this book that keeps you reading long into the night; romance, heartbreak, suspense, murder, and mystery. And ghosts. Plus lots of ghost stories. I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it to everyone who enjoys a good, well written story.
Suspenseful. Liked the mystery of the book as well as the romance!
Fantastic!. Having lived in Michigan and actually working on Mackinac island some years ago, I found this book drawing me in with references to places I’d been and situations I had experienced myself as a short term resident and visitor. Loved this book. Intriguing, kept my attention as I read until I was falling asleep over the course of the days I read it. Five stars big thumbs up totally recommend it to any reader of mystery and/or romance genre.
On My Personal "Books Read" Spreadsheet I gave .... This book 10✳️. It was unlike any mystery I had ever read. I could hardly put the book down. Because I was fortunate enough to visit Mackinac Island a couple of times (once when the lilacs were in full bloom at The Grand Hotel), the book was even more special. The ending was a QUITE surprise; I never saw it coming. Bravo to Kathryn Meyer Griffith‼️
