A true ride. Capturing my attention from the first 3 pages, I knew this book would be one that I could not put down. A book I will be recommending to everyone I know. This book a great twist of adventure, friendship, love and human error and nature. I seriously could not put this book down.

Such a surprise!. Started the book with no expectations. Was blown away by the end. Can't wait to read the 2nd book!

Amazing Read. When I initially picked up this book I wasn’t expecting much, but I was thoroughly surprised by how fast I finished this book. The way in which the author envisioned NY in the year 2118 was amazing, and to be honest I wouldn’t mind living in this tower if I had all the money in the world. The overall development of the characters was pretty good although some were a little much for me but I found myself wanting to read more and more which is a good sign.

Couldn't put it down. I read the first half of this in a day. I couldn't stop! It reminded me a bit of Gossip Girl. I hope there is a second book.

If you're looking for something new.... This book was refreshing and something new. I really liked it and really hope another book is written.

I liked this book but I don’t have to read the second.. This book was interesting and I liked the style where it switches between characters but I feel like the story ended and I don’t feel the need to read any sequels.

A suspenseful, totally gripping, and surprisingly enjoyable read.. THE THOUSANDTH FLOOR by Katharine McGee is a suspenseful, totally gripping, and surprisingly enjoyable read. Imagine NYC 100 years in the future, mostly located within a 1,000-story tower. The book begins with a mysterious death—someone has fallen from the top floor. From the very first page it felt like I had to race to the finish line.The structure of this story is fantastic—beginning with a mystery made it nearly impossible to put down. I was desperate to figure out who had died and how everything had escalated to that point. We follow 5 separate narratives, all expertly woven together. The multiple narrators took a little getting used to, but once you adjust it was quite an effective tool for pushing the story forward, as well as leaving the reader in quite a bit of suspense. Plus we were shown a variety of different life experiences in the tower (particularly class politics). The finale was spectacularly satisfying, and the author still managed to leave readers with an incredible cliffhanger. I will absolutely pick up the next book in this series. Highly recommend! Good. It was good, I loved the mystery. The flashy parties and things seemed fake but then again it is fantasy so 🤷🏼‍♀️ it was pretty good. I’d recommend it

Intriguing Read. This novel is the epitome of teen fiction, but it is not a bad thing. The characters are dynamic, and the plot is well developed. At times some of them can be hard to relate to, but the creativity of futuristic NYC is definitely a highlight. Brilliant debut. I give it four instead of five stars because it is not a profound literary work, but I will definitely be reading the sequel when it comes out.
