The best of the series.. This series just gets better and better. I strongly recommend it.

The Best. I would agree with some of the others that this is the best of the series that I have read, but in reality every time a new one comes out I feel it is better than the last.

Just OK, second half saved it.. I'm one of those people who is compelled to finish a book once I have started it. About a quarter of the way through, I wanted to give up. The first half of the book is SO SLOW. It picked up in the second half, and I was able to look forward to reading it. If you can get past the monotony of the first half, it gets better.

Well written. This book is definitely well worth the read.

Outstanding!!!. As with all Nora Robert’s J.D.Robb Death series, this was fast paced, twisted, action packed & too enthralling to put down.

Good but a little off. I'm a big fan but this one was just a little "off". There seemed to be little real back and forth between the characters; it almost felt like a rough draft. And the several instances of the wrong word being used let me know the usual proofer was on vacation. You know how Eve has that little niggle, just off. One of the highlights for me was Bella's party. There's nothing like a wee one to make the darkness disappear. Did I read the whole book quickly - absolutely. Would I recommend to others - yes but would have them read an older book too. Will I get the next "in death" - absolutely.

Entire series. I have read every one of the Eve Dallas series and I love every one. They are touching and funny and smart. I love all of the characters. Can't wait for the next book. Write faster!

Weak all-around. Can't. Stay. Awake. Poor character development and zero investment in seeing the plot through to the end. I'm half way through and can't tell you the first name of the main character. She's a new author for me but I think I'll look elsewhere for my next book.

Eh.... Now, I'm a diehard Eve and Roark fan... and I buy each of these books the moment they come out. I enjoy reading and rereading them, but this one just didn't make the grade...there seemed to be a bit of redundancy throughout, and not a lot of excitement. Not a whole lot of he usual Eve/ Roark dynamic either. Maybe I will like it better when I read it a second time.

Apprentice In Death. I've read every book in the In Death series (at least once) and this is my new favorite! Great read beginning to end!
