Disappointing. The Stephanie Plum series is all about characters and setting. Plot, not so much. So when a character changes significantly, it significantly impacts the series - negatively. Ranger is changed; he has become chatty and, in doing so, has lost the loner mystique of the former special forces soldier. The author's voice has changed as well, as if an unnamed ghostwriter has taken over. I think I'm done with this series.

There are so many racist tropes in this, I could spit.. Janet seems to have leaned into her hatred of Lula, and escalated her racist commentary about the character. She describes Black criminals in her book in such a demeaning, hateful way, but not the White criminals. I can’t believe I wasted money on this. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

Turbo Twenty-Three. I love love love the players in these books. Lula and grandma are so funny. And Stephanie’s man problems are great. There is so much humor in these books. Can’t wait for the next book. Hurry please

Move on. Cute, but starting to get old. I paid how much for 260 pages of same ole? It'll be awhile before I do that again.

What a twist!. This was well written!! I didn’t except the killer to be who it was!! I was very shocked!!! Loooved it soo much tho! Truly laughed soo much while reading this book! Thank you for the awesome read & for the laughs! I was so stuck in the book, I couldn’t put it down!!!

So excited. I have been reading this series since junior high, it has been a crazy, fun part of my life. I reread them often. I loved 23!

Turbo Twenty-Three. This has got to be one of the worst Plum books written. Same O Same O . Except she out right cheats on Morelli and reasons it out. Go figure. Personally, Ranger isn't worth it. I was totally disappointed in the book. Now we are made to wait almost a year for the next one. That's bull. And if it is as bad as this one. I'm done.

Um......really?. Wow, what can I say other than what a disappointment. I have read the whole series and this book was horrible! I was bored with the same regurgitated plot and anti-climate ending. The laughs were few and far between and I feel as though Janet is trying to squeeze out far too many books in this series. If you read the first ten books, then save your time and money on this one.

23. Wonderful and fun!

Another Winner!!!. Once again , I loved it!! Many LOL moments!! Some people complain that they are the “same ole thing”!! That is what I like! That is why I have continued to read each book. Turbo 23. I also have read the whole series and I actually thought this was one of the better ones. At least there are no giraffes wondering around Trenton. I know people complain about the sameness of her books these days, but that's what attracts a lot of readers. After a while you begin to feel like you know these characters . These books are not the "great American novel" but they are usually entertaining. This one was pretty entertaining!!

Okay. Thanks for the memories. Everyone has a not so good, but not too bad experience. Waiting on next one. Been reading this bunches of years, 1999, so fingers crossed.

This plum was a prune. The title wasn't the snappy combo that we expect for a by the numbers book. Personally, I prefer 23 Skidoo. Maybe if is just me but these books are almost becoming a boilerplate. Stephanie/danger/Ranger/crazy lust / Morelli/comfortable lust/Lulu high jinx/crazy family/car kaput/funeral viewing/donuts/bacon. I think that covers it. If you love the series you'll read it. But Janet, seriously, pick up the pace.

Always fun. This book follows in the path of the others. It's a fun and easy ride to remove yourself from the outside world.

Love these books. I've read every Stephanie Plum book, some twice, and I laugh and enjoy every one.
