Not for the faint-hearted. I’m a big fan of Pepper Winters and have most of her titles. I love the redemption arcs found throughout her novels as well as the way she is able write and develop complex characters. If you are looking for small-town, Hallmark-movie stories, these are not for you. But if you are looking for gritty, dark, morally questionable stories, then Pepper is your girl. I’m not gonna lie - I had to put down this series and walk away/take a break several times. But when I did finally make it to the end, I was weeping right along with these characters for what they endured, what they lost, and the future they would enjoy. Pepper, you never disappoint. Keep it up.
Love this author. I really loved and enjoyed reading the Pennies series by Pepper. So I was excited to start indebted. Books start off fantastic. However, by the fifth book I was over reading this. I did finishing the series, had a great ending so I’m glad I stuck with it. Definitely could’ve been wrapped up in the fifth book though. It just seemed to drag on.
Good but long. The storyline was good. Love the romance/love part of the book. I enjoyed the everything that was revealed toward the end and the different point of views. But the book was long. I felt like it was drawn out and it was a lot of violence.
