Worst Sparks Book Ever!!!. First, I have read almost every book written by Nicholas Sparks and loved them. This book felt like it was written by someone else. It was a boring disaster! The main character is a spineless wimp who's only advise on his failing marriage comes from his gay sister. It is completely different from Spark's normal writing style. I did not even finish it. Horrible book!!!

Two by Two. All I can say is don't waste your time.

Love!. A story full of every emotion, love being the most prominent of all.

Two by two. I’m so in love with this book so far. On chapter 10 and I can’t seem to put it down. That wife of his is something else. Can’t wait to see how it ends!

Beyond tedious!. Not one character creates any interest. Sparks must have misplaced his formula for love stories. Russ-OMG, what a whiny, immature boy (can't even type-man) Vivian-self centered, conniving, disloyal, not a mother's bone in her body. London-going to follow in mummy's footsteps, already learned the lesson of whiny and angry gets you what you want. Parents-maybe that is why Marge and Russ are dysfunctional! Only interesting character, Joey, the lawyer! I can't imagine anyone wasting as much time as I did on reading this book, and I'm mad at myself for not quitting when I should have let it go! Don't spend good money and valuable time on this one.

Horrible. Sad (not in a poignant way). Hopeless. The book drones on & on. I could not finish. It’s painful to get to know these ugly characters. I don’t even believe Nicholas Sparks actually wrote it.

LOVE. I've read almost every single Nicholas Sparks book. This one was definitely different than his others, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I couldn't put it down!! And of course, as always, I cried multiple times. I definitely recommend to anyone that loves romance novels.

Best book ever!!. I could read this book a million times it's so good. This is the best book I have ever read!❤️📚

Boring, Annoying, and Vapid. It took me well over six weeks to finish this book. The characters are awful! Russ is a spineless jellyfish and Vivian is manipulative, abusive and passive aggressive. The "heroine" dies but before she does, she tells everyone exactly how they should behave toward each other. They all listen...happily ever after. Puh-lease! Would have given it zero stars if I could.

Was a fan... I collected all of Spark's books and was a huge fan. Even when I didn't like the outcome and a main character died, I thought the story was strong and true to life. This story was pathetic - I kept waiting for the twist that never came - just a sad man who always gave in to a self-centered woman. What lesson was there in this? No hero, no triumph, no fight for what is right, no karma. So shocked at how bad this is. Money back please.

Two by Two. This book had a lot of ups and downs, but a very good read. I really felt bad for Russ. Hit bottom and the only way is up. So tru to life.

Disappointed. I love Nicolas Sparks! Have enjoyed all of the books I have read by him but this one was a complete disappointment!! There was no chemistry between the characters and the main character was just extremely weak!!

I loved it. I read a lot of books.. and I have to say this is my second best. My first is the Nightingale. But wow.. so amazing. Made me cry, so inspiring and is well written.

Awful. This is the worst book I've read in a while. The main character is insufferable. He is completely spineless to the point where you don't even have sympathy for him. I kept reading and hopes that he would finally stand up for himself but he never did. It was infuriating! The characters are clearly placed into categories of "good" versus "evil" which comes across very fake, as in real life people are varying shades of grey... don't waste your money.

Two by Two. I seen some negative reviews on this book and I really don't understand why. I found this book a good read. It might be hard for some to understand why a man wouldn't stand up for himself against a controlling wife but you have to understand that there are not only women living with controlling husbands but vice versa. When your made to believe your at fault for things even when your not you come to believe that person you love. I found this book very good with a lot of hidden advice for people of both sex living in those circumstances. It would be nice if we all had a big sister or brother who could give us good advice like in this story. Very sad ending but loved this book thank you

Loved this one!. This book was the perfect read for my girls getaway. Nichols Sparks never disappoints. I always hate having to leave his books. This was was no different.

It gets better. Not something I'd expect from Nicholas sparks. I judge the book too soon but I still made self finish it. After all, it's a great book.

Couldn't finish it.... The story is a little drawn out, but promising. However by chapter 6, I just simply couldn't take anymore of Mr. Sparks misuse of the words "bring" and "take". One takes something THERE, and brings something HERE.

Two by Two. I have read all of Nicolas Sparks' books; this one could have used a little more excitement. It is a good story but nothing jumped out and grabbed my attention.

Read like a teen romance. Very disappointed in this book, it is by far the worst Nicholas Sparks book that I've read. The dialogue is simplistic, with very little nuance or sophistication- nothing implied, everything spelled out and over-stated. The plot is boring, monotonous, and completely predictable. It took me weeks to finish because I kept giving up on it, but I was determined to finish it because I hoped it might eventually become worth my time. It didn't and I'm sorry that I wasted all those hours reading it.

Two by Two. This book is so good! It's emotionally riveting and you never see what's coming on the next page!

Fav. Honest and hopeful; 2 by 2 balances heartache and the riches of family and friendships. Makes you believe in giving your heart to what can be changed and allows you let go of what cannot be fixed.

Most Unlikeable. Mr. Sparks has created a protagonist so unlikeable, his past successes can't even compel me to finish this book. The main character is spineless, naive, and lacks basic levels of self-worth and common sense. The flashback-style writing does nothing to keep the story moving, and only fosters contempt for all of the characters. Money - and time - was wasted on this one.

The worst Sparks novel, ever!. This had to be the most boring and drawn out of all of Nicholas Sparks’ novels. Usually I love everything he writes, but this was ROUGH. The first half of the book droned on and on about how Russ knew something was wrong with his marriage. Then another fourth of the book chronicling his meltdown after she leaves. I continued reading because it had to get better, right? This is Nicholas Sparks, it HAS to get better...there’s a twist coming. Nope. Nothing. So incredibly boring. Stick to what you’re good at! The formula works!

Great author and interesting story. Held my interest until the end. I could predict what was happening a lot. This author feels like part of my family. Loved all the books written by Nicholas Sparks!

Slow at first but ended great!!. Took me awhile to really get into this book because it was not the normal Nicholas sparks story line that I am used to when reading his books, but by the time I got to the middle of the book I was hooked and couldn't wait to see how everything ended. So if your a fan of Nicholas sparks and don't like the first few chapters keep reading because the book does pick up and becomes a heartfelt well written story.

Love, love, love. It’s almost always has been hard for me to find that one book that makes you want more .. this book by Nicholas Sparks is most definitely that one. I had challenged myself to become more off a reader then watching TV, Netflix being on the phone going on social media etc.. I did not no were to start when it came too what type of book I wanted to read, I’ve always loved Nicholas Sparks movies so y not give his books a try. So I did, and read two of his novels TWO BY TWO and SEE ME. Make sure you have tissues on hand be prepared to cry.

Incredible and heart-wrenching. One of the most poignant, heart-wrenching stories I’ve read in a long time. It’s the story of a very real every day life and how beauty and disaster happens to us all and just when we’re not sure we’re going to survive....somehow, we do.

Amazing!. I have read every book by Nicholas Sparks, and the first thing I noticed was that this is different than his other writing. But this was such a good book! I hope there will be a second book that tells about the future, because I definitely wish there would have been more of that!

Good book. I enjoyed the book a lot and I think that it sets really good points out to people. But one of the things I didn't like was the flashback parts Russ would have because it would get confusing at times. But I still recommend the book to people that love to read novels. And if you enjoy love stories this is a book to really read then.

Two by Two. I honestly don't know why this book was written. This is a horrible book. I didn't like Vivian or Russ. She was mean and nasty and he was a wimp. I couldn't read this book and even skimming and skipping didn't help. This is a really bad book.

Disappointed. Compared to his other books this is the worst! And I LOVE all his books! I found myself upset and depressed after reading each chapter. I only kept reading with hope that it would get better but unfortunately it did not. I would not recommend this book.

Two Thumbs Up. First off, if they don't turn this into a movie, they're all idiots. Second, while a movie of this book would be great, I don't think it would even come close to how amazing I thought this book actually was. It had me in tears, laughter, and amazement. It's the first book by Nicholas Sparks that I've read and I'm starting to realize that I need to read all of his other books. He's a great author and he should never stop writing books.

Phenomenal Read. This book was nothing short of wonderful. Such a heart-felt story, and if left me in tears during the last hour of reading. This book is so wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone!! I’ve never felt like I was actually in a story, and Nicholas paints the perfect picture EVERY single time. Blown away doesn’t even begin to describe my feelings about this story!

The Sparks that keeps me on the edge of the page even when I think I know what might happen next. You caught my heart again. Had me tearing up in my dentist chair and afraid to put you down for a moment. Thank you for bringing my heart back to where it should be. Don't change a thing!! Cut off pages. I really enjoyed this book. Seeing things from a man's perspective was very eye-opening. However, the last page of the last 2 chapters and the epilogue were cut off! Very frustrating.

Poor Characterization, Interesting Plot. While I found myself intrigued by Russ's journey (learning to be a single dad, handling his divorce), I also found that the characters were plain archetypes seen through various forms of Media. Vivian is the nasty wife who is unfaithful but can show decency at times, Russel is the pitiful dad who is tackling many stressors at once, Marge the fun sister with "unique" qualities. These characters don't go beyond this mold, they are not given the depth that makes me feel for them. The reason this story encapsulated me is because I became interested in how it ended, as opposed to feeling an emotional connection to the characters. In the end, I felt it was okay, but that it lacked in an important part of every novel: characterization.

Good but Predictable. The book is a good read but it seems more like a woman was telling the story and not a man. I prefer books with more twists than this one.

Not impressed. I finished this book only because it's written by Sparks. I kept hope that it would get better, but it didn't. It's slow and very hard to engage with. Wouldn't recommend.

Two by Two. Russ sounds like my son & Vivian is nicer than my daughter in law. Nicholas Sparks books are always so close to the heart.
