Oasis Book Reviews
Oasis by Dima Zales Book Summary
A new dystopian/post-apocalyptic series from a New York Times bestselling author
My name is Theo, and I'm a resident of Oasis, the last habitable area on Earth. It's meant to be a paradise, a place where we are all content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues us.
I was once content too, but now I'm different. Now I hear a voice in my head, and she tells me things no imaginary friend should know. Her name is Phoe, and she is my delusion.
Or is she?

Strange but very intriguing. This was one of those unknown stories that took me by surprise. I thought at first it was a kids story but then as I got into it, it became very intriguing. I really got into the Theo and Phoe connection, it was great to read their banter and to try figure out who Phoe really was. I loved it! I canāt wait to read the next book in the series. I immediately purchased the next book, more late nights!
Oasis. Finally! An interesting book with an original story line that is not predictable! What a pleasure to read. I read it in one sitting which was a perfect way to spend my day. I recommend this to anyone who wants originality, intrigue and intelligence in a book.
Great Read!. Loved all of the weird twists and turns! With technology being what it is today, this is one of the most thought provoking reads of the decade! Canāt wait to afford more from this author as I am a āFreeā only, book reader! Benefit of working for a state university! Reminiscent of āReady Player 1ā.
Engaging. I really enjoyed this bookās storyline and concepts. The banter is necessary, and some of these reviewers must not realize how difficult it is for an author to create dialogue inside someoneās head. First book Iāve finished in awhile, itās hard to keep me engaged that long. Thinking about buying the next in the series!
Imaginative and unique.. Very imaginative and thankfully different. A fun read.
Very good. Really enjoyed it! Maybe got a little complex for my mind at some parts. But otherwise I really enjoyed. First book Iāve finished In a couple years.
Well worth reading. Oasis is a satisfying SYFY read. It begins with an interesting premise and ends with another.
Loved it. Great book! Enjoyed it very much,& canāt wait to read more.
Captivating Storyline. While you read along you are guessing what is going to happen next. Stay with it to the end, it has a clean un-rushed ending that leaves you satisfied and ready for the next book in the series!
Not what I expected. An original premise, great characters, and engaging.
Complex, unpredictable, and perfect.. I really loved reading this book. It had lots of plot twists and no plot holes. It was interesting, surprising, and overall a great read.
Amazing Sci-Fi. Got it as a deal I found and I couldnāt put it down. It really wraps you up in the action of it with many unexpected twists. A page-turner.
A rollercoaster of emotion. I loved every second and some moments caught me by surprise and I really loved this book and canāt wait to read the sequel
Oasis. A great read. Fast paced and just a bit confusing for a reason. Owen seems to battle himself, both body and mind in a world he now finds hard to accept. This is a compelling trilogy I am anxious to continue. Cliff
Great read. I got this book on my new iPad. It was offered as a free read. So, I was shocked to find that I absolutely could not put it down. I loved it and will continue to read the rest of the series.
Too much filler. I like the idea that theyāre playing at but a lot of filler and just confusing and boring
This needs to be a movie!!. This is a wonderful read! No movie could do it justice as I pictured it in my mind but the entire time I couldnāt stop thinking about how good it would be as as a movie. Every page has a surprise!
Science fiction but with a positive spin!. This is a nice twist on Postapocalytic science fiction in that it actually has a positive spin! We all need that right now in view of our current reality.
Intriguing. Fast moving but at the same time, felt dragged down. Fun read overall. Theo just kept asking the same questions over and over. That got old. However, in the end, a fun read and great concept for a sci fi.
Oasis rating. Amazing book, great characters, great detail, and just great attention to detail. I would recommend this to anyone who isnāt really into reading but has to.
Addictive. Well written Funny Read in 2 days ;Didnāt want it to end.
Not really a dystopia novel. But a vision of a flawed future humanityāperhaps not even that far in the future, considering how fast advances in technology are changing the world we live in today. While this story stands alone, I finished reading with an intense desire to learn what will happen to our hero next. By my measure, that is the best way of all for an author to begin a series.
Great!. This book was well written. The twists and turns kept my mind engaged and guessing as to what would happen next. I loved it!
NO. Too wordy and dragging conversations. Good idea but no thanks.
Oasis. Got this book for free.. couldnāt put it down! The story is so well written I can not wait to read the others in the series to find out what happens!
Awesome. Great read! Dragged on a little on some parts but otherwise I loved it.
A great story. Well thought out storyline, and an actual book that has been proofread. Thank you for taking the time to do both steps well.
A modern take on Orwellās 1984. Loved this book, hell, I loved it so much I bought the next one in the series the same night I finished it.
Oasis. What a new and refreshing sci-fi book! Great read and wonderfully written. The author deserves applause and recognition for this success of a story!
A non-stop page turner. I love this book. The writing is fantastic.
Amazing book. Once I started reading it . It dragged me into its world. Itās perfect for Some one who wants science fiction and action and a lot of twist.
Exciting read!. A real page turner! Thought provoking! Thank you for sharing this enjoyable book.
Perfect. This book...wow. I read it in 3 days because I just couldnāt put it down. It is the perfect blend of sci-fi, dystopia, with just the right touch of romance. Donāt let that last word push you away. The way this book is written and imagined is ingenious. I came to this book after reading Dune before I could get the second book in the Dune series and I was blown away.

Utah Watkins. Went to sleep 5 times in the fist 4 pagesā¦.you can have this one back.
Really catchy. As a fan of sci-fi I really enjoyed it. I use to read to sleep but with this book I sometimes found myself trying not to sleep to find out what is happening next. I loved the whole idea about the imaginary friend. And I loved the atmosphere. I hope someday they make a movie based on it. Except for one point that the outcome was obvious and there were couple of pages just on the procedure (Iām just trying not to spoil anything :D), it never got boring and there was always something interesting happening. The whole story was so solid. By the end of the story everything was totally justified and there was nothing left unexplained. And all of these were done in a very good way, without any awkward justifications anywhere in the story.
It's good. Kind of reminds me of Tad Williams' Otherland series. Fast paced action that's got me hooked.
Oasis - I got hooked!. This book kept me totally enthralled until the end! Very original and intriguing concept got me hooked and kept me there!
From someone I think is classed as kind. I havenāt read it yet but I want to and to those who said it was bad well to those guys Iād like to see you try write a book. I myself is writing my own book and Iām only 11 but I think it is pretty good but enough from me and letās get reading this what seems to be wonderful book.
Cram. Letās just cram every sci-fi story into one and be done with it. It should please someone? Possibly?

Didnāt want to stop reading!. I had so much fun getting lost in this little world. Thanks for the canāt-put-it-down read!
Oasis. I would love to tell you how much I enjoyed this, and why; but, selfishly, I am frantic to get started on the second book.
Excellent Book!. This is one of the best booked that Iāve read. I loved the twist at the end.
Excellent. Thank you for this wonderful story I enjoyed it very much
