Oasis by Dima Zales Book Summary

A new dystopian/post-apocalyptic series from a New York Times bestselling author

My name is Theo, and I'm a resident of Oasis, the last habitable area on Earth. It's meant to be a paradise, a place where we are all content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues us.

I was once content too, but now I'm different. Now I hear a voice in my head, and she tells me things no imaginary friend should know. Her name is Phoe, and she is my delusion.

Or is she?

Captivating StorylineWhile you read along you are guessing what is going to happen next. Stay with it to the end, it has a clean un-rushed ending that leaves you satisfied and ready for the next book in the series!.Score: 4/5

Not really a dystopia novelBut a vision of a flawed future humanity—perhaps not even that far in the future, considering how fast advances in technology are changing the world we live in today. While this story stands alone, I finished reading with an intense desire to learn what will happen to our hero next. By my measure, that is the best way of all for an author to begin a series..Score: 5/5

EngagingI really enjoyed this book’s storyline and concepts. Really catchyAs a fan of sci-fi I really enjoyed it. I use to read to sleep but with this book I sometimes found myself trying not to sleep to find out what is happening next. I loved the whole idea about the imaginary friend. And I loved the atmosphere. I hope someday they make a movie based on it. Except for one point that the outcome was obvious and there were couple of pages just on the procedure (I’m just trying not to spoil anything :D), it never got boring and there was always something interesting happening. The whole story was so solid. By the end of the story everything was totally justified and there was nothing left unexplained.
