Hickory dickery dead. Easy read; entertaining.

Quick read. Lately I’m into quick reads. This book had a good plot. The characters were interesting and believable. It made you think as you read along, the outcome was not obvious. Read it in a day. I would definitely recommend it. It is a light read.

Held my interest. This book was easy reading. In between the tense moments, there were unexpected funny moments. The plot was expertly entangled with surprises throughout, especially the end.

Enjoyable. Fast moving.. Fun characters, fast moving, unpredictable.

Smooth, Easy, Interesting Read. Characters are easy to meet and recognize. Pleasant for the most part but the language was a bit course a few times. All in all, if you like a mystery with lots of bends and turns, this may be for you.

Stilted dialogue. I found the main character Maisie interesting but not all that well drawn. I don’t know anyone her age who was educated like her speak quite like that. It took me a while to realize she was a retired physician/pathologist. In the first dramatic scene the wife is forced to kill her husband.... then sees the face and screams. That was interesting, as I thought it was someone close to her whose presence shocked her. I was intrigued and wanted to find out who!. But the denouement didn’t live up to a fascinating background story... At one point one of Maisie’s love interests is killed... but I don’t see the purpose of killing him off or what that contributed to the story; the younger characters ( late teens, twenties) speak in full sentences even under extreme pressure and use expressions that I wouldn’t if I was threatened by a gun for ex. I kept on reading to see ‘ who done it’ but the final denouement was so stilted ( again the dialogue was more like a book review the real people speaking under pressure) that I don’t plan to read anything more by this author.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book!. Good story and great humor! Plot has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing till the end.

Good. She is quite the character.
