The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients.

Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up.
Until New Orleans.
Until her.
She’s everything I’m not.
Full of fire and life. An innocent where I’m a sinner.
I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her.
But first, I have to escape from beneath these shadows.

Bishop and Eden FOR THE WIN.. Someone hold me back!!!! From what? I don't know. If you've read any of my previous reviews on any/all of Meghan's books you should know by now that she is a favorite of mine. I will literally put down anything else that I'm reading to read her. That's how much I love her writing, her stories and her. TBH, NOLA was never really on my radar to visit, uuuuunnnntttiiiilll Meghan. I devoured Beneath This Mask and it holds a very special place in my heart. Not just in Meghan's books, but overall an all time favorite book, in general. I loved each and every single one of the Beneath books, but you guys, this one....it's right up there with Mask. I loved EVERY. SINGLE. THING. Literally. And, again, you would think that because I've read every single one of Meghan's books that I'd "know" her style by now, but nope. She has surprises in every book and she knows how to keep you on your proverbial toes as you read. I devoured this book in a day! That usually doesn't happen around here because, adulting but I straight up ate this book up. It is a standalone but the other thing that I loved about this one is that everyone makes an appearance and that alone almost brought tears of joy to my eyes. What I love about Meghan's heroine's is the fact that they are all bad asses in their own unique way. There's sassiness, there's sarcastic shenanigans, straight up stubborness but a vulnerability about them as well. Most importantly, they are strong willed and THAT'S what I love about them especially Eden. She seems like the poster child of "prim and proper" and she's anything but. All she wants to do is spread her wings and fly and boy does Bishop do a really good effing job of that. Bishop. Swoony, broody, Bishop. Meghan had me at man-bun. It's as simple as that, really. Such a mystery man, a man that obviously keeps to himself and is set in his ways until Eden just turns that upside freaking down. I love how flustered he gets around Eden. Mr. Tough Guy turns to mush. LOVE IT. His attitude in the book, although trying NOT to be funny, I couldn't help but laugh at certain moments that he's trying to keep his composure when he's with her. Everything about her is telling him that he needs to protect her. He knows something is up, she's running from someone or something and the interactions between these two as they are trying to uncover things about each other was done with precision but it was so easy too. The other thing that I love about Meghan's books are the lessons. You may not see it for that but I do. There's so much growth that each person goes through and on the relatable scale, I'm really high up there in connecting to each one in my own way. They're overcoming obstacles and they each become a stronger version of themselves, all while finding true, unconditional love. On a lighter note, I was a highlighting fiend with this one. I mean for the love of all things naughty, one of the lines in this book is... "Grab the headboard." Holy panty melting hell. How do you NOT want to read about that?!??! The characters, the storyline, everything about this book was pure gold and I never, ever want it to end. It was my absolute pleasure to dive back into the beautiful world that is NOLA. I can't wait to see it in person one day and I cannot wait to see what more she has in store for us.

We're going back to NOLA!. It's Mardi Gras time and we find ourselves back in NOLA, Voodoo Ink, and the Beneath world. There is nowhere I'd rather be! During our time here we get to visit with old friends and meet some new ones. We get to laugh and experience the steamy Beneath world at its finest. Sit back and get to know Eden, a very sheltered lonely woman who just wants to be able to see the world and experience everything it has to offer. And when a situation with her father arises she finally get her chance to spread her wings. And does she jump right in by heading to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Once she arrives she is not prepared for what that city has in store for this upperclass sheltered novice. That's where Bishop, a tattooist from Voodoo Ink and an alpha to the max steps in. He finds Eden way out of her element and steps in to help. When these two collide we find out that Beneath These Shadows past and present secrets will alter both Bishop and Eden and possibly their future.

Back in NOLA. I have enjoyed every book in Meghan’s Beneath Series and this was no exception. This book (like the rest of the series) is set in NOLA. I have never been there myself, but her writing of this area makes me feel like I have been. Eden is a woman looking to explore a new city. She has been sheltered most of her life and as a result is naïve and careless. Enter Bishop. A local tattoo artist that is as big and tatted up as they come. He finds her needing help in the big city, but he doesn’t do help. At least until now. He finds himself being drawn to her and becomes her very own knight in shining armor….minus the armor and add lots of tattoos and a man bun. After she continually pushes him away, will he be there when it matters most? Truth be told, I found myself getting angry a few times at Eden’s stupidity. Despite that, Meghan did good job of taking you through the growth of both of these characters individually and as a couple. Not to mention its always fun getting to “visit” with characters from previous books. This book is a stand-alone, so you can read it without having read the other books. Although, I’d venture to guess you will go back to read this series from the beginning.

Man Bun alpha yumminess. I really enjoyed Eden and Bishop's story. I love how quiet, surly Bishop became alpha obsessed with Eden. I love how Eden gained confidence and stretched her wings. I adored the angle of Eden being a mob boss daughter. I have only read Beneath This Mask but want to catch up on the series as I adored how all the other couples were mentioned.

BISHOP BISHOP BISHOP!!!!!. I loved Bishop!!! He was broody, self contained, sexy and sweet as hell. I loved this entire series. A must read series by Meghan March.

The inked alpha and the sweet cupcake - a perfect combination!. Beneath These Shadows is the second book I've read of Meghan's and the 6th in the Beneath series. I was impressed with her writing in the first book, and it is obvious that as the series progresses, her writing just gets better and better. In this book, we are introduced to Eden and Bishop. Eden is the illegitimate daughter of one of New York's most notorious crime bosses. Bishop is a tall and tatted hunk who works at Voodoo Ink with his sister Delilah. I want to delve into each of these characters for a minute because I think Meghan did an amazing job of creating them and as a reader, I connected with both of them right from the start. Sometimes it takes a while to feel a connection with the hero and heroine, if at all, but Meghan crafted the backstories of these two people in such a way that we get enough to feel where both Eden and Bishop are coming from, and then throughout the story we are fed more and more tidbits of their past, their thoughts and emotions, and what they want out of life. Eden, poor girl, has been sheltered all her life by her father. She's got a bodyguard constantly, can't go anywhere alone, has no friends and basically lives in a bubble. Her relationship with her father is tenuous at best, and she truly has no idea how he feels about her. Does her father shelter her away because he loves her and wants to protect her, or does he do it just to keep her out of his hair because he truly doesn't want to be bothered with her? She longs to know this answer, and between this and the being sheltered, she wants nothing more than to break free from this prison she's been in all her life. Bishop, the quiet, stoic, alpha male. Tattoo artist, drop dead gorgeous, has women throwing themselves at him left and right. Never stays in one place for more than a few years, never forms any types of relationships. The only person he's truly devoted to is his sister, and a very small handful of friends from the tattoo shop. Something happened to him in the past, something he doesn't think he'll every forgive himself for, something he should have resolved head on a long time ago but didn't so now he stays on the move. When Eden is suddenly told she needs to get out of New York and lay low, she makes a spur of the moment decision to go to New Orleans, a place that has been on her bucket list for a long time. After landing there just as Mardi Gras is set to begin, she finds herself with no hotel, carrying around a fake ID and trying to figure out where to go or what to do. Bishop steps in when she is accosted and saves her. He helps her get a hotel room for a few days and they both think that's the last they'll see of each other. Fate obviously has other plans for them. Watching the sparks fly and obvious attraction they have to each other is nothing new in a romance book, but for whatever reason (again, I attribute it to Meghan's writing) this didn't feel like a clichéd storyline. It was exciting to watch the slow burn occur between Bishop and Eden. They're both obviously keeping secrets from each other, but for right now, they're enjoying their time together, however much of it they get to have. Bishop soon realizes he wants something permanent with Eden, but Eden has been keeping some pretty big secrets from Bishop. And she has no idea when she will end up getting called back to New York when her father beckons. Eden wants desperately to break out of the stifling bubble she's lived in and become an independent woman who takes care of herself. Bishop just wants to protect and take care of her, his alpha instincts kicking into high gear. Can these two find a balance where Eden realizes that she needs someone to watch out for her, especially in a place like New Orleans, and will Bishop be able to relax and let Eden try some things on her own, even if she fails in the attempt? Meghan really wowed me with this book. The pace of the storyline was perfect, the descriptions, sights and sounds of New Orleans were spot on, and the dramatic build towards the end kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how everything would play out! Prior to reading this, I had only read book 1 of the series and normally I can't stand to read a series out of order, even if the author states that each book is a standalone. My OCD tendencies just don't allow me to do it. But in this instance, I was lucky enough to have received an ARC so I went ahead and read it, wondering if I would feel that constant niggle in the back of my head that I was reading out of order, but quite honestly I didn't. Even though the characters from the other books are interspersed throughout the story, I never felt like I was out of the loop or questioning who someone was. Of course, now I will be going back and reading the rest of the series, just because I loved all of the characters and want to know more about them! This was a great book!! As I mentioned I was impressed with Meghan's writing and can't wait to read more of her stories! Thank you, Meghan!!

Beneath These Shadows was a fast-paced suspenseful romance that had me white knuckling my Kindle as. Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book in the Beneath Series, but it is a standalone and can be read without missing a beat. I typically don’t like reading out of order, but sometimes it just can’t be helped. I can say that after reading this, I just want to read the entire series to get the dirt on the many characters that I got a chance to meet. And I’m going to be doing just that. Five books, one week? I think I can do it ;) I am not a new reader to March, but I feel like I’m always so darn surprised when I read one of her books. In BTS, Eden is escaping New York on orders from her father and finds herself in New Orleans. Ready to finally live a little and explore this new-found freedom. But showing up during Mardi Gras makes this exploration a bit more difficult and just a tad bit unsafe. Enter Bishop. A tattoo artist, beard-man-bun having hulk of a man. He’s not the kind of man to put down roots and he’s still trying to outrun his past when he spies a woman far too innocent to be alone on the streets in the middle of a mob. Bishop isn’t anyone’s knight in shining armor but there is something about Eden that screams PROTECT. I am a sucker for an alpha man (with issues) that gives into the instinct to claim and protect. And it’s even better when they fight those instincts just to fail over and over again. And Bishop pinged all the must haves in an alpha hero. He was perfect. I loved the way this story wove these two characters together. I enjoyed getting a glimpse of all the other characters who came first without being told too much. Too many times in these standalone series the author gives away EVERYTHING about the co-staring characters, but March flawlessly teases you, making you want to instantly get your hands on their books. So, let’s just get to the sexy times. Holy-Smokes. Between the ‘get the list’ done scene at the pub and the way that Bishop took total charge – I was a goner. I needed a fan to cool me off while reading this. Bishop was intense in his everyday life and that carried into the bedroom. Because let’s be honest, an alpha in the streets is just an jack-hole if he can’t pull it off between the sheets. And Bishop was all the things. Beneath These Shadows was a fast-paced suspenseful romance that had me white knuckling my Kindle as I devoured the pages. A thrilling ride in the Big Easy with complex characters and a plot that kept you guessing at every turn. I can’t wait to start the other books in this series!

So so good!!. Five grab-you-by-the-seat-of-your-pants stars! This was my first book by this author, and it will for sure NOT be my last. This book grabbed me from the first page, and didn't let go until the last. I absolutely loved Eden and Bishop's story. There was so much adrenaline and edge of your seat action and I couldn't finish it fast enough. I'm definitely going to go back and read the previous books in this series, although this one can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book.

Mobsters daughter!. Eden and Bishop... There are tons of things that I could say about this book that would be great and make you want to read this book, but I just cant seem to put them into words that would do these characters justice. When I read this blurb, it didn't give me much to go off of, so I was a little worried- I shouldn't have been! This is one amazingly written book that tells an amazing story about the lives of two different people who come together in a time of distress to seek comfort from the other (yes, that type of comfort ;-) but also the friendship kind too). If you are looking for a book that has love, friendship, lies and deceit, betrayal, a quarky old woman, hot sexy times- then this is the book for you to read! You will love and you don't even need to read the first five books; you should, but you don't need to... Now, GO READ!

Amazing. Love this book! Keeps you interested from beginning to end. Almost impossible to set down!

Cupcake!. It was gooooood to be back in NOLA! 6th standalone in this series. It's without a doubt my favorite series to date and I always squee a little when I find out there's more. I've wanted a Bishop book since he was first introduced in Beneath These Chains. He intrigued me further in Beneath These Scars when he was described as "It’s the newer guy. Bishop. He’s a sexy beast of a man. That man bun. Seriously hot." I have a not-so-secret love for everything man bun, so I knew I needed Bishop's story from early on. And of course, Meghan doesn't disappoint. These two characters were stubborn from the start. One needing to spread their wings, and one trying to make sure the other is safe. So you can imagine the power struggle. They butted heads around every corner (literally, every corner on the streets of New Orleans.) But let me tell you, when they give into their urges, sparks flew. As always, it's the perfect amount of sexy as sin and on the edge of your seat. Another great story from this author!

Loved it!. This book is everything I come to expect from Meghan March and more. I am a fan for life. From page one I was hooked. Hot And sexy, full of excitement! Highly recommended.

Not the 5 stars I expected from all the reviews. Were they paid or what?!. I love me a good smutty romance, but I'm picky. Most romances are all the same same same and it gets boring and redundant. After reading the reviews of this one, I was hopeful it would be great but ultimately I was let down. It was just another of the same. I liked the relationships developed between the friends in this book (frankly I liked all the friends more than I liked Eden herself), there were a few good plot twists, and some good elements to the story, but I quickly grew annoyed with Eden's internal dialogue and was disappointed that the story lost its originality about 1/3 of the way through. I was overall bored with the sameness and I'm putting this one into the growing pile of dime-a-dozen romances. If you like the typical story of the naive innocent girl trying to find herself who isn't smart enough to put two and two together yet gets swept away by a hot muscled man, then you'll love this book. If you want more and better, then you'll be disappointed.

Take me Back. Can I just live in this series? Seriously, going back to New Orleans with these characters was just what I needed. Every time I pick up a new book in the Beneath series, I'm transported back to New Orleans and makes me want to visit the city. Eden is a sassy, independent, yet naive girl who grew up a little different than most people. She is out to seek adventure and freedom for however long she has it and she is going to enjoy it. Her naivete puts her in the straight path of Bishop. Sparks fly so grab a fan it gets freakin HOT with these two. Bishop is a tattooed alpha with a past he's trying to escape. Eden is the game changer, he might finally want to put some roots down for. He wants to protect her, even if it's from herself sometimes. The struggle between the two is great to watch, both stubborn in their own way. The secrets that loom in the shadows will either destroy them or bring them together. They are both guilty of keeping things from one another. This book will hook you from the first page and won't let you go until the end. But don't worry you will enjoy every minute of it you won't want it to end. I could not put it down. This is the 6th book in the series, it's a standalone but I would recommend reading in order since we do see some old friends. Which by the way I LOVED!!

Loved It!!!. Eden must leave her life that she has known since when she was young because of who her father is. Eden decides that she is going to head down to New Orleans to reinvent herself. Bishop meets Eden when he sees her on the street looking a little lost. Bishop couldn't believe that he is helping Eden because it is so unlike him. Eden and Bishop keep bumping into each other and Bishop can't stop wanting to be there to help her out. Eden and Bishop are both hiding something from their past and once it comes to light will they fight for their love. I loved Eden and Bishop!! Eden was a little timid and hid in her shell but soon when she starts to hang out with Bishop and his friends she slowly starts to open up more. Bishop and Eden are totally two different people but the chemistry is there from the very beginning. They both have secrets that could totally end their relationship or make their relationship stronger. I loved this book and I can't wait to read more!!

sexy alpha and a cupcake. Bishop is a sexy dark alpha with tattoos, who doesn't love that?! He also has a man bun; some people loooove that! Eden has lived a very sheltered life and I loved watching her grow and become more confident throughout the book. The passion that bishop has and the need to protect her is amazing. I love their raw chemistry and the author wrote the story very well. Although this is book six in the series, it can be read as a stand alone, alone with the rest of the New Orleans gang!

Best Beneath Book yet!. Holy hell Bishop. Hands down my favorite Beneath book. I was completely engaged in the story from the very beginning then in the last probably 20% of the book Meghan ramped things up even more. Loved it!

Fantastic!!!. Beneath These Shadows it's the first book I've read by Meghan March and it definitely won't be my last. I absolutely devoured this book! I was hooked from page 1 and could not put it down. When I started reading, I knew this was part of a series but could be read as a standalone. Well now I must read all the books! Not only did I fall in love with the hot, sexy, brooding tattooed man bun wearing, bearded Bishop and sweet and sexy Eden; I also fell in love with all their friends and can't wait to read their stories. If you love bad boy alpha males then you will love this book. Bishop's world completely turned upside down after a chance meeting/rescue of Eden outside of Voodoo Tattoos. He couldn't get this beautiful and obviously naïve girl off his mind and he had a fierce need to protect her. This was so unlike him. He was usually a one and done kind of guy; not doing relationships. Always running from his past. Never wanting to settle down. Eden has been placed and ignored in a protective bubble her entire life. When this mob bosses daughter had to leave her home for her safety, she saw her chance to spread her wings and live. New Orleans was just the place for her to go. She wasn't prepared for the chaos Mardi Gras brought. She realized just how sheltered she'd been. Bishop was there to rescue her at every turn. As much as she wanted to be her own protector, she was helpless to resist this man. And boy who could resist! They were explosive and hot!! Burning the page it's hot! Both Bishop and Eden have secrets from their past that could tear them apart. When those collide get ready for the intensity that comes. This book is a five star must read!!

Smoldering and Suspenseful. 4.5 Stars. New Orleans seems to be the place for hiding out and melding into the crowd. When an unsuspecting stranger makes her way into town to knock Mardi Gras off her to do list without a hotel reservation it's a good thing the "right" people are there to protect and guide her. What lurks in the shadows is another story. This is a standalone novel, however, beloved characters from previous books make an appearance. Well written and plotted with lots of steam.

Very hot addition to the series. This is the 6th book in the Beneath series but it can be read as a stand alone. This book bought us back to Voodoo Ink, my favorite place in the Beneath Series thus far! And Bishop was almost at Con level if you have read Beneath this Ink you will understand that! Bishop is a tattoo artist with a troubled past, always running, holding back from getting involved in friendships and relationships in case he has to run again. Eden is a sheltered mobster's daughter, always being watched and protected, never allowed to spread her wings or explore life on her own. When Eden meets Bishop sparks fly!! I really enjoyed this story, it was funny and steamy and I love the Beneath crew and like how they were woven into the story. It was a great addition to this series!

New Fan. This is my first book by the author and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved that the story was set in New Orleans and was intrigued by the background of Bishop and Eden. There was a nice slow burn surrounding the characters which drove the story nicely. Bishop is a tattoo artist and manages Voodoo Ink. He has secrets and has never wanted to settle with anyone. Eden is temporarily relocated in New Orleans. She has secrets and should lay low but she's in New Orleans during Mardi Gras and she wants to live a little. So these two meet and have a connection. They are total opposites- Bishop is inked and broody and Eden is sweet and naive- but it works for them. But with secret, they eventually come out and usually chaos follows. I loved that this story also included family and friends that have a connection with Bishop. They are there to help with these two and it was a part of the story that created a family component that I adore in stories. It definitely makes me want to read the stories prior to this book. I found the story flowed well, I liked the beginning and loved when Eden and Bishop finally got together and then the ending turned a little wild and crazy. The story is told in his and her POV which is always an added bonus to get into the heads of both characters. Overall, I liked the story. I will definitely read more Meghan March in the future.

Must Read. The wonderful thing about reading a book from the Beneath Series is the feeling of coming home, I've never been to NOLA but the author makes me feel like I've lived there for years. Bishop and Eden's story is a standalone but it was nice visiting old friends. Eden (secret daughter of a mob boss) has been sent into hiding she is suppose to be laying low but decides to have an adventure. Bishop is hiding too never staying in one place for long but as fate would have it both are in NOLA at the same time. Fate also steps in everytime Eden is in trouble and needs help putting Bishop there to protect her. Their love story is meant to be so many twists of fate. The author has put me right in the middle of this well written story with these amazing characters. This is another must read five star book.

FIVE CUPCAKE STARS. Who doesn't love a tatted up, bearded, man bun sporting giant with a soft spot for a damsel in distress? Meghan March's writing is outstanding as she transports you in the heart of New Orleans. You are put right in the middle of secrets, seduction and the allure of the French Quarter. Eden is a casualty of circumstance. She wants to break free from rules and experience life on her own. She is brave, independent and secretive. When she runs into Bishop, sparks fly and undeniable chemistry ignite. Bishop is pure alpha male with his commanding ways. With an innate need to protect that even surprises him, these two are pulled towards one another. In true Megan March fashion this book has it all. She has a way with words that burn up the pages so you better read fast!

Meghan March. Great series. Love the running characters.

❤️. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I love this series so much, and this book is just as good. I love how all the guys got together to help out this time, it literally made my heart soar. p.s.I NEED MORE OF HENNESEY!!!

Sexy with a side of danger!. Beneath These Shadows is one of those books that pulls you right into the story. I haven't read all of the other books in this series and I didn't feel like I missed out on anything, but if the rest of the series is anything like this one, I'm definitely going back and reading them all! I absolutely loved Eden and I adored how protective Bishop was of her right from the start and their chemistry was off the charts hot. "...he wouldn’t be content in this life until he made me as happy as I’d made him. That the only thing he wanted was to watch me fly, so long as he could soar beside me. His words had given me hope like nothing else possibly could." There was a great storyline with some adventure and danger in the amazing setting of New Orleans's French quarter. And of course the sexy, bearded tattoo artist with a man bun heated up my kindle in a good way!

Awesome. Too good! Couldn’t put it down!

Loved it!!!. 5 Stars Beneath These Shadows by Meghan March is the sixth book in the Beneath Series. It is a standalone novel but I really suggest reading the others in the series because they were fantastic! This series just keeps getting better and better, and Meghan March continues to grow as a writer. Bishop and Eden’s story is filled with pain, heartache, loss, and most importantly love. Eden is the daughter of a mobster who is making her leave New York temporarily. With having been kept sheltered, she wants to really live and enjoy her time away. Choosing New Orleans as her destination, she wasn't expecting the craziness of Mardi Gras and of meeting a sexy tattoo artist who keeps saving her. The instant attraction she feels and the way he protects her, throws her off balance. She knows he wants her but he refuses to give in. Bishop is a ladies man which is also problem...so will Eden be able to tempt him into changing his mind? Bishop has been on his own for a long time. Never staying in one place too long, he goes from city to city never laying down any type of roots. Meeting Eden has put him on edge. He wants her but doesn't. His will power is slowly weakening when both his and Eden’s past collides in a way that could destroy them. Will they be able to move forward? Or will their pasts ruin any future they might've had? You'll have to read it to find out!!! WOW!!! I loved this book. It truly blew me away. Meghan March has an incredible imagination that not only draws you into her fictional world but makes you crave more. The characters are multidimensional and you can't help but fall in love with them. Bishop and Eden both stole my heart and I cannot wait to see what's next for this author!

5 Amazing Stars!. This is the 6th book in Meghan March's Beneath series, but it can be read as a standalone. In this book we meet Eden, she's the young, sheltered, illegitimate daughter of a notorious New York crime lord. Because of who her father is, not many people know that she even exists. One day she is told that there's trouble coming and that she needs to disappear for a while. She gets fake ID's and escapes to a place she's always wanted to visit, New Orleans. The poor girl isn't use to being out in the world by herself and immediately runs into trouble. Thank goodness a hot, tattooed, bearded man, Bishop, comes to her rescue. He's Delilah's brother and works with her at VooDoo Ink. We don't initially know a lot about his past, but we know he's quiet and tends to keep to himself. For some reason he's drawn to Eden and keeps coming to her rescue. I really enjoyed reading their story. This a story with romance and a little suspense. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys these kinds of stories.

Must Read!!!! I fell in love in Bishop and Eden!!. I was provided an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I am a newish reader to Meghan March books. Beneath These Shadows is the first book of hers that I have read in this series. You can read this book as a standalone which is good or I would have been really lost! I was hooked from the beginning of the book and didn’t want to put it down!! I even found ways to sneak and read at work. (haha) In BTS you meet Eden, a sheltered girl who is craving freedom. She ends up in NOLA and the story really takes off from there. Enter Bishop, the hot as sin alpha tattoo artist. You meet him when he is scaring off guys that have bad intentions towards Eden. I was instantly drawn to him!!!! Their chemistry is off the charts and the sex scenes… OMG those were smoldering!!!!! I will be going back and starting at the beginning of the series and I can’t wait to go back and read them all!!!

Beneath these shadows. Another well done book, could not put it down a must read

Hot! Hot! Hot!. I am new to Mehgan March as a reader, but I have to say that I am an instant fan after reading this book! I absolutely love when an author can take a man who I would not ordinarily find in my wheelhouse of "book boyfriend" types, and totally turn him into one! From the man bun and beard, this hunk of a man will steal your heart as he finds himself becoming more and more protective over "cupcake", the slightly awkward and naive daughter of a mob boss. They both have secrets and both are in need of saving, and perhaps they can both provide that for one another. Bishop (that name is bad assed!) is a complete Alpha male, but again, this author gives you his soft, and that is a beautiful thing. Not to be left out are all the wonderful ancillary characters in this book, especially Bishops sister.....you will fall in love with them all!!

Way to go!!!. The love story of Eden and Bishop is incredible. I realized after I started reading this book that I had read a previous one in the series when I recognized a couple from the earlier story. Now I have to read the rest of them! Eden is definitely a princess (mob princess) with daddy issues. She wants to desperately break free but doesn’t really know how to do it. Bishop is definitely an alpha hero with a past, one he isn’t sure anyone is willing to take on so he just stays distant. Until Eden... The sparks between them are immediate and something that neither one is expecting or is prepared for but it’s inevitable. I love the bite of suspense, not knowing whose past is actually haunting them, and who saw the connection coming?? The interactions with the previous couples is wonderful to see and the understanding that Eden gets from Charlie is endearing. I even found myself cheering for Dom in the end, since he doesn’t seem to be quite the bad guy we think he is. Meghan March is not an entirely new author to me but will definitely be on my watch list and I have already gone back to catch up with the other Beneath books!!!

Welcome back to NOLA. The 6th book in March's Beneath Series bring us back to NOLA and the hot alphas she excels at writing! And she doesn't disappoint with Bishop's story. The characters butt heads and man do sparks fly! The perfect amount of steam to keep you hot and bothered!

Beneath these shadows. Love love love all these books!!!😍😍

ALPHA yes please BISHOP!. Bishop our tall tattooed ,man bun wearing, broody sexy “AIN”T NO SHAME IN MY GAME” shall I go on? Enter Eden she’s running she’s hiding, she’s lving for the first time on her own, shes building her life when her careless luck put her in the path of Bishop and hs “Protect.Defend.Claim” attitude. They both have secrets they want to stay buried and when worlds collide and truths are told these two need to make some serious choices . I really loved the chemistrty between the characthers I enjoyed the fast pace of the story , So Sexy.

Fun, entertaining and HOT!. Okay... I broke my cardinal rule. I booked jumped in a series. Yep. I read book #6 without reading the others. And it was perfectly fine because this book can definitely standalone. So click on it and dive right in. If you like alpha males and female leads that aren't submissive, then Beneath series would be for you. Although this was strictly Eden and Bishop's story, you do get plenty of interaction from previous characters to know these women are STRONG. Eden- a sheltered girl that just wants to be on her own. But yet every time she attempts to step out and do something independent, fate has plans to mess with her. And in swoops tattooed, grumpy Bishop to save her. When Eden finally convinces Bishop that she isn't made of glass, whoa baby, sparks fly. Meghan March's book always deliver entertainment. Not high on drama or angst. But definitely lots of fun fantasy to entertain your erotic read needs. I plan on back reading the series because there were characters I definitely wanted to know more about. 4 out of 5 stars

Hot Alpha Alert!!!. This free ARC was provided by the author/ publisher in exchange for an unbiased opinion. No type of compensation was made. There is no relationship/affiliation between the reviewer and the author/publisher. Broody Alpha male meets sheltered girl. I devoured it. Scorching sex scenes, tons of angst, and a girl learning to fly. Eden and Bishop couldn't be more opposite, he's a tattooed hair bun wearing moody son of a gun. Eden is all prim and proper, however beautiful shy and quiet. but when these too meet all bets are off, let the fireworks explode. This book is a page turner for sure, So much goes on in this story you may not want to blink. love the way it was written and the growth of Eden. I've only read 2 books in this series and while I loved that the whole gang is in this book, I'm mad at myself for not knowing their background story. I'll be remedying that soon. loved it.

Dirty Mouthed Alpha Male. ***WAVES HAND*** Yes I want to get dirty in NOLA!! Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book in the Beneath series BUT CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE. How can you not love Bishop, the sexy, tatted up, and grumpy hero? Then you have the very naive Eden who has never experienced life on her own. I just love their story and it’s full of surpising twists I didn’t even see coming. This is a definite MUST read!

5 Cupcakes Stars!!!!. A sexy symphony of passion, suspense, and raw chemistry!!! With her trademark of unapologetically sexy romance, Meghan March continues to deliver stories that are riveting, palpable, and consuming. And in her latest installment to the Beneath Series, Meghan has readers craving for their very own, Bishop, an alpha tattooed hero in Beneath These Shadows. “I want you. I’m not making any secret of that, but now I’m going to wait until you admit that you want me just as much.” Beneath These Shadows is the sixth book of the series but it can most definitely be read as a standalone although past characters of the series are brought back into the mix of the story. New Orleans is a city notorious for it’s nightlife. Who wouldn’t want to visit the Big Easy especially during Mardi Gras? So what happens beneath the shadows of New Orleans? Will an unlikely pair find love? Eden Matthew has lived all her life in a protective bubble. As one of the illegitimate daughter of a notorious mob boss, Eden never got to experience freedom that is until her father’s right hand man informs her that she must go into hiding as her father is being investigated and targeted by the FBI. It is there she is informed to pack her bags and not make any contact with her father till it is safe. With a new form of identification, Eden decides to go to New Orleans. “Eden had plowed through my walls without trying, and from the moment I’d met her, everything had become more vivid. She was the turning point. She was a wild card.” Given the fact that Eden has lived a very sheltered life, she didn’t take into account that hotels in New Orleans are booked because of Mardi Gras. So when she went walking along the streets of New Orleans, she finds herself in trouble when it became obvious that she was an easy target for criminals. Luckily for her, Bishop happens to spot Eden and rescues her before any trouble could happen. It is in that moment that Bishop finds himself helping out Eden several more times. Maybe it was her beauty or innocence that attracted Bishop to Eden but in the end, he couldn’t help but fall for her hard. It didn’t take long for Eden and Bishop to become a couple as he found it easy to fall for her. She was sweet, simple and yet she was bold. Eden is no wallflower as she begins to spread her wings. Slowly, readers begin to see a new side to Eden. A woman learning to fly and gain her independence. But what happens when her time in New Orleans comes to an end and her return back to New York is inevitable? Will Eden discover that her wings are once again clipped? Or will this new Eden learn to soar beneath the shadows and into the light? “The orgasm hit me so hard and so fast, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. Stroke after stroke, I writhed beneath him and begged him not to stop. It was a revelation. It was everything.” Meghan March stays true to her word when she states that she writes unapologetically sexy romance because Beneath These Shadows was that and so much more. I absolutely loved Bishop and Eden’s chemistry. Their transition from friends to couple was undeniably explosive. I loved that Meghan showcased different sides of Bishop. Yes, he was a protective alpha male but he was also understanding and loving. What especially drew me to this story was that Meghan beautifully weaved the sights and sounds of New Orleans in the backdrops of a romance that was taking center stage. So if you are looking for a love story that had heart, steam, suspense and passion then Beneath These Shadows is the book for you.

Great series!. This is a great series. I love the author's books. Her characters are flawed but great. There's romance, suspense, hot sex, strong characters, and great writing. Winning formula!!

Awesome Read. I have only recently found Meghan March books and she has very quickly become one of my favorite authors!!! Beneath These Shadows is a book that will keep your attention from the very first word till the very last! And you'll be wishing for the nickname "Cupcake"!!! Love love love this book!!!!!

Awesome ❤️. I love the Beneath Series but Bishop and Eden WOW! Couldn't put it down! 😍

Beneath the Shadows. This is the first Beneath book I've read from Meghan. It is a standalone and you don't have to read the other Beneath books to enjoy this one. While I don't normally seek out romance novels with tattooed men with man buns, this book was a pleasant surprise. I loved this one so much I'm now reading the other books in this series. Eden is a naïve and sheltered girl who ends up in New Orleans to find herself. Bishop feels the strong need to protect and guard her once they've crossed paths. Who doesn't love a big, strong man that wants to protect you and treat you like a princess? Read this one to find out if they can save each other from the shadows of their past. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Amazing. Once again Megan March delivers the most amazing book. Old Characters that deliver the sizzle and suspense New love that sizzles. You will be not be able to put down once you start

Bishop, Bishop, Bishop... I love me some Bishop!!!. I absolutely loved these characters. I've read all of Meghan March's Beneath Series and I adore all of the characters, love how they all interact with each other, but Bishop and Eden, I think are my favorite so far. Don't get me wrong, I love all of the men in the Beneath series, but Bishop is something else. Great writing, as usual, and I love the pace of the book - mind you I COULD NOT put it down. Can't wait for more from Meghan March.

Loved Loved Loved!!!. Oh my gosh, just when you think Meghan can't do any better, she goes and proves you wrong! Complete and total love for this book! All the feels. Love, excitement, suspense, laughs. It's all here. A feisty young woman who wants to fly. And let me just say, there's yet another guy in the French Quarter that has stolen my heart. I loved this couple. I loved this story. Can't get enough!! Get. This. Now!!!

Another fantastic read. I love how relatable Eden is, even though she comes from a different kind of family. I also enjoyed how she discovers herself in New Orleans with familiar characters. Did I mention that this series is a standalone?

Bishop the Great.. This is the first book that I have read in this series, and let me start by saying you do NOT need to read the others to understand or enjoy Beneath These Shadows. I may go back and read some of the previous books to learn more about the other characters because they intrigued me, but it's not necessary to enjoy this book. On to the review. Eden Mathews is in hiding in New Orleans, and has been given a fake identity. Which she immediately forgets to use when she introduces herself for the first time. *face palm* Eden is a little naive, a lot sheltered, and looking forward to spreading her wings for the first time in her life. But every single time Eden tries something new, it goes wrong. Every. Single. Time. This girl just can't catch a break. Thankfully, whenever something in Eden's new adventure goes wrong, there is a brooding, tattooed man named Bishop to save her. I don't even know Bishop's last name. He doesn't need a last name. He's just....Bishop. And he has a protective streak where Eden is concerned, but he can't figure out why. But, things go wrong, and Bishop is there to catch her (literally), save her (also literally), and protect her (so much literally that there needs to be a bigger and better word than literally). Once Eden and Bishop finally give in to the attraction between them, not only do things get hot, but their relationship grows into something neither of them saw coming. And when Eden's former life comes calling, she has to hope that what she and Bishop have built is not only strong enough to withstand the truth, but that his love is strong enough to save her life.

Bishop and Eden!. Bishop and Eden! ❤️❤️ Wow, does Ms. March send us on a wild ride back to NOLA with the latest addition to her Beneath series, right from the very first page! Eden is trying to prove to herself, and everyone else- that she can take care of herself, and Bishop just wants to help. Eden is smart, intelligent, and just a bit naive. Bishop has the street smarts to see what Eden misses. The two ooze chemistry from their first meeting, and it only gets better from there. Bishop is one my favorite characters that Ms. March has created. He's hot, filthy, and just.so.ALPHA. He's protective and has just enough sweetness to round him out. Another fabulous book from Meghan March, standalone, but best enjoyed if the previous books in the series have been read.

Love it. Love it. One of my favourites from the series x

Loved Bishop & Eden. I don't usually read books out of order, but seeing as each is standalone I don't mind because I want to go devour the rest now. This was my first Meghan March book and I cant believe I've put off reading this series for so long. Bishop is everything I love in an tattooed beard man-banned alpha, he was all caveman protectiveness over Eden without being too over-bearing. Eden is in New Orleans on her fathers orders, but when she turns up she forgets its Mardi Gras meaning it's exploring this new adventure is bound to be fun, but has some dangerous aspects - in steps tattoo artist Bishop the protective alpha. He is drawn to Eden with the need to save and protect. I loved the interaction between the two,Eden lets her mouth run away before she thinks but she also wants freedom to show everyone she can take care of herself, whereas Bishop wanted to be the one to show Eden around so he could look after her, but in the best possible way. The book has everything I love including what I believe to be previous characters of the series that I cannot wait to meet. March knows how to write alpha romance well and this one didn't lack drama or suspense. What a great read.

Love, love, love it!!!!. Another fab book in the beneath series, don't usually like to pay more than £2.99 for a book but I splashed out because I love all Meghan's books, totally worth it. Bishop is one helluva alpha and Eden seems so naive. It makes me wana go to New Orleans (gona put that on my list!, you'll understand when you read the book). Bishop was a tough nut to crack but he's a softie inside

A maxing. Of to read the next one I’m this series soooo worth every penny

KCSUNSHINE. Last night I dreamt I was in New Orleans. I found beads, walked on Bourbon Street and got a tattoo of a cupcake from a giant with a man bun. Giant. Man bun. Tattoos. The holy trinity, and said Giant is only freaking called Bishop! As Alanis Morissette said, isn't it ironic? "The dark glower that took over Bish's face had me poised on the edge of my seat to run. Man-bun plus beard plus all those tattoos plus angry scowl finally tipped the scale from dangerously gorgeous to just flat out dangerous." Eden does a runner and heads to NOLA to tick something off her bucket list. She escapes her gilded cage and meets Mr Man Bun. Woooof! Bish! I can call him that because we are now buddies. I'm really trying to over look the beard (they scare me). "You gonna ride my beard until I tell you to stop." "It might have been the fastest orgasm in the history of orgasms. Maybe that was the magic of the beard?" Graveyard tours and grape flavoured cocktails. Beads, cupcakes, coffee shops, dress shopping, lots of new friends. Old friends who are not so friendly. Absent dads and did I say, a giant with a man bun? My first Meghan March book, won't be my last. Why 4 not 5? I have a really particular pet peeve when it comes to vocab, just me I doubt anyone else would care or notice so I'm not calling it out.

Perfection. It's easy to say, being a fan of Meghan March that this was my favourite. The truth is it is. All of her books have a wonderful story of Alpha hotness and badass tattoo gods. But for me Shadows had a extra oomph. Bishops laid back easiness hid his desire to love fiercely. Eden was the perfect mix of strong sweet needing and giving. They bounced off each other nicely. I had a wonderful time reading this book, honestly l devoured it. It is a pleasure to read anything Meghan March. She understands love and knows what her readers need.

Shadows. Oh Meghan... you had me at the first book in this series, dragged me in deeper with the second and I have been falling deeper and deeper every book since! Loved Bishop and Eden. Oh what am I saying.. I love them all! I wanna move to New Orleans!!! 👍👍👍👍👍😁

Beneath Series. I’ve had this series on my iPad for so long.. I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. What a thrilling ride that was .. every single book was unique and exciting... definitely worth the read .. 5 full stars for each and every book 📚

Shadows. Every one gets better. They are each beyond 5 stars...I love this author and she never disappoints. Some series drag on and wane as they go ~not this one. This one is full on alpha in the ring every single time. This one is hot...so if heats not your thing move on by. This group of characters just grows and gets better ~now with Bishop. The man bun, bearded sex on stick dude. Eden well her whole character adds humour and balance to his closed down one. And a small world it is as the story wraps and twists through the pages...did not see that coming and that is what makes these stand out reads!! You stay true to every single character in every book and they are amazing. I was skeptical at first but got the sample for Book 1... now we are flying past book 5 or 6. You restored my belief that a longer series can be great for each read and not wane. Awesome read...you will love Bishop!

Loved it❤️ One of my favs!. Book 6 in this series. Wow, just wow. I've loved all the others and this one is no different. Loved it. Loved the story. Loved the characters. Bishop and Eden. Two people with separate lives in separate parts of the country until they meet. Him as her saviour, her as his weakness. Two people with secrets. Secrets neither of them willing to reveal. But sometimes life has a mind of its own and things don't always turn out the way you want them to. It is no different for Bishop and Eden. What will happen when the demons from their pasts catch up with them? An exciting, suspenseful, sexy, very sexy, "keeping you on the edge of your seat" kinda read. You will fall in love with Eden. Determined is one word I would use to describe her. Determined to find her freedom from what's been keeping her captive in her past. Bishop will have you "sigh" more than once. Oh so tough on the outside but oh so soft on the inside. You'd want him to protect you too. Just saying........ Another five star read by Meghan. A definite recommend❤️
