Easy read. Great plot and twists and turns on who done it.

Wanted to like it. But I couldn’t see what other reviewers saw. The main character should have been someone I liked but some decisions seemed out of character and the whole Alex situation even the ending seemed not well thought out.

A book that is hard to put down. I found the very interesting , in fact I really enjoyed it. I was in some ways quite surprised to find out who the killer was. The book is worth reading. I like the way the author wrote this book. This is the first book I have read of her books, but it won’t be the last.

Eleventh Hour. Loved the mystery in Sunset Ridge. The storyline flowed nicely between the two characters — Poppy and Alex, as they got to know each other and to solve a murder in a quite small town. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Great reading. Enjoyed this story. Suspenseful until the end.

Eleventh Hour. Poppy McGuire’s small town sleuthing begins when an unlikable town resident dies unexpectedly. Poppy immediately sees clues pointing to murder though her friend on the police force doesn’t see it. After making the acquaintance of a retired Baltimore cop, she neglects her job as an investigative reporter to do some real investigating with Alex Montero. I love cozy mysteries but something about the writing on this one reminded me of conversing with teenagers, so I struggled to finish it.

The Eleventh Hour. This is a fun read! I enjoyed following the characters as they solved murders, investigated folks, and kept the mystery going to the end.

The Eleventh Hour. Who murdered the richest woman in town? That’s the central question driving the story. The limited cast of characters keeps the story tight. The pace is good, as is the flow of action. Poppy, the protagonist, gloms on to a retired detective to learn investigative skills but her inner thoughts often seem immature (she’s31). She instantly claims the detective as her partner and the murder as “their case.” I plan to read another Poppy mystery to see how the character develops. I would recommend this book to cozy murder mystery fans.

Fun Murder Mystery. I don’t usually like these type of books but I really enjoyed the small town cast of characters. It was easy to relate to with a twist of an ending.

The Eleventh Hour. Very suspenseful. Didn’t, know who did it until the end. Loved it and look forward to reading more books from the Poppy McGuire Mysteries.
