Amazing story!. It feels like it's been a long time since I visited Pine Harbour but this book definitely made the wait worth while!! It's a fantastic story of love found, love lost, and love rediscovered!! Sean Foster and Jenna Kowalczyk met a world away from home and under some tough circumstances. Yet, one 2 week leave and a passionate whirlwind of events tie these two together forever. Regardless of how many times Sean tries to push her away, Jenna is in it for the long haul. Her undying determination is what gets them to their HEA. This one needs to be on everyone's must read list. I highly recommend it.

Love in a Sandstorm. This book was excellent. The characters and the story never felt unfinished. It was beautifully written and the plot was interesting, thoroughly fleshed out, and one I’d never encountered before. I adored Sean and Jenna and the love and strength they share. There were very few issues with the text itself, but one thing I find annoying with today’s writing in general (not specific to this author) is the difference between spellcheck and grammar check. For example, I frequently see the word “lead” as the past tense of “lead” when the past tense should really be “led.” I saw another phrase, something like “turned on its axis” that was written as “turned on its access.”

Excellent Book. Enjoyed the story. Well developed characters with a little bit of everything you would expect in a military type romance (but even more). It was not just a meet, fall in love and an HEA. It delved into a detailed storyline with relationship struggles that come about when tested. Very glad I took a chance on this book and read it.

Great depth. Enjoyed the depth of characters. Men’s sexual dysfunction is going to happen with age and circumstances. more realistic to life not always giving you what you want but making what you’ve got great. It’s the first book I’ve ever read dealing with male adjustment to those expectations that is fundamentally and physiologically going to happen! So important to help men and their partners explore the realities and learn to adapt to their partners needs…..talking about expectations is really helpful!! And so great to showcase veterans and/or people w/TBI (traumatic brain injuries) and coming back from war zones never the same as they went in

Absolutely amazing!. This is the best book I've read this year, and an incredible addition to the Pine Harboir series! It reminded me of why Zoe York of one of my most favorite authors. She is at the top of her game here. This is the beautiful, emotional story of Sean and Jenna, who meet in a war zone and fall in love fast. After Sean is injured, Jenna moves to Pine Harbour to honor their vows and fight for their marriage. I laughed. I cried. I loved visiting Pine Harbour and all of the characters from the other five novels. I'm sad to see the series end. You must read this book!

Sean and Jenna. What a beautiful love story. The patience of dealing with a man with TBI and a huge chip on his shoulder was a story of pure love from family and a wife he thought he didn’t need or want to be by his side any longer. But no matter how hard he tried to push them all away, they hung in there and a new and better love story emerged from Sean and Jenna’s love for each other. Bravo!!!!

Loved it!!!!!. I love Zoe's military romance novels. Sean and Jenna's story showed a true view of what our men and women endure, and give up for this country. Their love story is one of tragedy and triumph. Excited to see what's to come with Matt and Natasha.

Tear jerker! Loved it.. This is a different kind of book- an amazing story of love and recovery. It’s an actual love story- not just a romance. I stayed up til 3 am because I couldn’t stop reading! I’m only mad because I’ll have to buy another book so soon... :-)

Characters are very real. Characters seem very real. Good stand alone story but some backstory from reading other books in this series makes it better.

Love in a sandstorm. Wow what a beautiful story, will be at the top of my list, I was so into it that I was not able to put it down, for very long. Loved the 2 main characters, their story of Meeting and how they fell in Love. He injured, she not able to make contact for months, then meeting his family where he ended up and what happened on their way back to each other. So good Thank Yoy

Love in a Sandstorm. First time reading this author. Pretty good story, but I could of done without the explicit sex. Guess that’s what sells books these days.

Wonderful read!. If this is the kind of story we get when Zoe York writes a longer book, then by all means keep writing! I loved this story! So insightful and in depth, it was perfect! Funnily enough, this story is about how life isn't always perfect and it is what you make of it. Love, hope, faith and perseverance, this story has it all. A fantastic addition to the Pine Harbour series. Can't wait for Matt's story.

Love in a sandstorm was so worth wanting!. This story takes you on an emotional journey as you follow Jenna and Sean as they meet, fall in love, marry and deal with the harsh realities and effects of war. Jenna is a midwife and Sean is a soldier and they meet in a refugee transit camp in Turkey. Jenna has been stationed there for a few months and Sean is passing through (in part to scope out the camp for an impending visit from the Canadian PM – side note loved the crossover!!!) I enjoyed the time travel, from present day to the day they met. It set up the plotline better I think than had the story start all in the past and then the present. It helped to develop the characters then and why they are who they are now. The dialogue is written with both a light and strong hand. Small sentences, for example when Sean tells her that she should not be there and she replied, “Yet here I am” slayed me. And then we swing into the past. I had shivers after that line. When she says yes to his proposal and he replies thank god, I was seriously thinking that I would have to kidnap you, I laughed then I fell in love. When they must separate after their vacation, I felt their pain and reading her thoughts, her memory of him running like the wind was special. The pain that they both go through as Sean works through his rehabilitation was at times gut wrenching and hopeful (even doing rehab for a broken dick!) You follow their journey as both them adapt to this new normal and when they talk about being exactly where they need to be I choked up a bit. I had a serious Ah moment when Jenna thinks about how Pine Harbor is a wonderful corner of the world if an unexpected one. This story had the same softness as Ryan’s book (Love on a spring morning) and really gets grabs you with its emotional intensity.
