Love through Advertising. I really liked The Sheriff’s Mail Order Bride by Ann B. Harrison. This is the second book in her Watson Brothers series. This is a story of two strangers being given a second chance for a life with a partner and companionship in order to avoid the loneliness and demands of life. I enjoyed how Ms. Harrison found a place for Gina Taylor to find the love and support she never had and a family who would not only love her, but also her son. I’m glad Rory Watson was given a second chance to find love and a way to have the family he really wanted. I do wish Ms. Harrison would have at least explained how his first wife died. This was a fun and entertaining story with likeable and real characters you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics and real life problems. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I definitely recommend this book to other readers. I am so looking forward to the next entry in this series. Not worth it. I know this is a book but it was so unrealistic. I skipped a lot of pages out of boring dialogue

Mail-Order Bride Romance. The Sheriff's Mail-Order Bride by Ann B. Harrison is book number two in the Watson Brothers' series. This is Gina Taylor and widowed deputy sheriff Rory Watson Rory, widowed, wants a companion and does not want to get into the dating scene. He places an ad for a mail-order bride. Gina, single mom, lost her job and was down to the last of her money when she accepted to be a mail-order bride for deputy sheriff Rory Watson. Rory was expecting Gina but not the baby. Will Rory send her away or will he get more than he ever expected. This was an enjoyable read. A great mail-order bride romance with misconceptions, secrets, and learning to trust again. FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The sheriff’s mail order bride. I loved it! Very sweet. The characters were very sweet and the story line was fun and believable.

Meh. Poorly written, very repetitive. Character development seemed rushed at times and then unbearably slow at others.

Rory. I enjoyed this storyline and how it unfolded. The characters were strong and learned how to trust each other before their hearts got involved.

Beyond the Surface, Hearts of Gold!. Rory and Gina are both fighting demon's of the past and choice's they made. Gina risks all to drive to Montana to marry Rory, but she is keeping a big secret as Rory doesn't know about her son. The sparks do fly, but I enjoyed how Rory and Gina had to both look past their perceptions of each other and learned to care deeply for each other I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

OK read. This was an ok read for me. I liked the characters. Gina Taylor, single mom with very few options answers an ad for a mail order bride. Rory Watson, a sheriff in Marietta, is having a hard time getting back into the dating game after losing his young wife. Desperate for companionship he puts up an ad for a mail order bride. While excited to meet Gina, Rory is a little shocked to find out she has a baby. Not that a baby is a deal breaker but the fact that she lied very well may be. This was a very interesting story but I'm not sure this storyline worked for me as a contemporary read. It just seemed a bit strange to me. It is well written so it turned out to be an ok read.

Mail order brude. Great story, well written, could not put this great book down. Nothing like a fantastic live story.

Abrupt. Ended really fast, it lacked a conclusion.

Escape With The Stuff of Fairy Tales!. Interesting romance and a little bit of mystery/mild suspense to resolve before the requisite HEA ending. It is the tale of a city woman answering an ad for a wife, in contemporary America no less, and the widowed town deputy sheriff living on his brother’s ranch with a rundown ranch of his own just purchased now at hand to renovate, who placed the ad. It turns out she has an 18-month-old son and her intended might not have been quite so upfront with her, in their conversations by phone before meeting, as he could have been, about his circumstances. Cue the dead baby daddy’s family’s entry, and by extension now his also of course, and things get interesting. I enjoyed the fairy tale. And it is an easy, ‘nice‘ read. The book needs editing, however, for fact/character consistency, proper word use (e.g., “on tenterhooks” is correct but “on tender hooks” appears at least twice), missing words, grammar, etc. that an editor worth their salt would have caught (These things simply jump off the page to me when I read.) While these complaints are on the borderline of being too many for me to recommend the book, fix them and I would happily recommend it!
