This series is gonna be PHENOMENAL!!!. This series is gonna be PHENOMENAL!!! This book has it all; fire, mythology, an alpha male, action, mystery, magic, emotion. It reinforced, yet again, why Felicity is one of my favorite authors, and I know that any book of hers will be nothing short of intriguing and intense. The stage is set for the rest of the series, and I'm beyond eager to see how it progresses with each brother, and to get more "pieces of the puzzle" to solve what is going to happen to the Underworld. This turns into sort of a "fated mates" story, and the love between Ares and Megan is perfect. I loved both of them, and I was so happy with the ending! I can't wait to get started on Valen's book next!!!!

Loved it!. Another great story by the author! You won’t be disappointed! Very Hot and romantic! Sex described is hot! And I can’t wait to read about all the brothers story!

Ares. Really good paranormal romance. Parts were boring and could’ve been shortened to make book better. Either that or more dialogue between characters. Still found it to be extremely good. Loved all the brothers characters. I especially want to know Damien’s story.

I want to like it... The story sounds great and the characters seems interesting but there’s so much fluff and descriptions it makes for a confusing read. One or two lines of dialog for 5 pages of description…about wet clothes. It had potential and I’ve tried to read it multiple times.

Meh!. Liked the characters and the story line, but it was too repetitive in their inter dialogue and not very much depth.

Yes!. Love Greek mythology! And I love the love story of Hades and Persephone. So these books about their sons is a real page turner! This book is hot and steamy! Can’t wait to read about the rest of the brothers!

Storyline follows along similarities to Her Angel series. Both good series. Ares is one of many sons of Hades & Persephone destined to guard the gateway from Earth to the Underworld, where Ares originates. Each son guards the portal or gateway from demons who havoc too much violence and destruction. Ares never expected a mortal Megan to become his savior. Because who would expect a god with fire power to need help?

Rushed. I feel like this book was soooo rushed. And sooo Insta-love. Meagan was never really flushed out as a character, we learned so little about her and she didn’t have any chance to grow as a character. The same with Ares. I’m debating wether to try the next book in the series or not waste my money.

Disappointing. I love Greek mythology, and this book had so much potential. Sadly it never reached it. The author spend so much time describing what characters are thinking that it’s boring. Honestly the whole book has maybe 5 pages worth of dialogue. I’m not even sure how you can manage to write ~ 300 pages where the characters rarely speak. Just so disappointing. I gave it 2 stars because the grammar errors weren’t horrible, though you can tell from the spelling and verbiage that the author isn’t American (which I don’t mind) but the story is supposed to take place in NYC. so jumper really should be jacket, sweatshirt, etc. tarmac is road or street come on it’s had to get lost in the book when the verbiage contradicts where it’s taking place. So yeah basically I would not recommend this book

Fast pace.. I liked the book and the story, I only gave it 4 stars because I just feel it was a little rushed.

Good start. Initially I was not sure if I would get into this series . I own many of Felicity Heaton books/series so I will be honest I bought this book because regardless of whether or not I followed the series I knew I would have a good read. I enjoy how each series becomes a world unto itself and the characters are always enjoyable. Ares and Megan are very similar in their fire and the play well against each other. Since this the first in the series it begins you on the journey and begins the mythology of this series. I looking forward to the next book. This book does a very job at setting the stage for the rest of the series as well as giving you a glimpse of the characters hopefully yet to come.

Great!. I've been really looking forward to this and I've got to say it didn't disappoint. I'm a big fan of paranormal and fantasy books but I've got to say a lot of them are a bit samey and, putting it brutally, a bit meh. They don't inspire my imagination. Not so with Felicity Heaton's books. Hers are packed with new original ideas and worlds and great characters. I can honestly say that I have loved everything I've read by her. This story is the first in a brand new series. It follows Ares. He and his brothers are sons of the god of the underworld Hades. They've been sent to the mortal realm to protect the gates to the underworld. Basically they are Hades' bouncers, lol. There to stop anything unsavoury from entering the underworld. One night Ares encounters a particularly powerful daemon but this also pushes him into the path of our heroine, mortal Megan. There's was a great book to read. The story was original and a cool twist on some ancient mythology. There was action aplenty but plenty of emotional romance as well. The story gripped me straight away and I was instantly invested in the characters. They were both strong but vulnerable in their own ways and were great to read. I liked the side characters as well and loved reading about Ares' brothers. I'm pretty sure they'll have plenty more to say in future books. All in all this was a really excellent start to what looks to be an exciting and different new series. This can be read as a standalone and nothing else needs to be read before. I enjoyed every minute of this and am really looking forward to the next story.

Paranormal. This moved along at a good pace and all the characters were well represented.

Great idea - not great writing. I love the idea of the brothers but I only got 28% of the way into this book and had to stop. I absolutely hate having to put a book into my DNF pile. I avoid it at all costs! But I just couldn’t get into this. I have it a good go. There was just way too much over describing of everything. At one point I was on page 158 and there had hardly even been that much dialogue at that point. Which in my opinion makes it hard to draw you in when the characters hardly talk. There will be 5/6 pages or more just of scene setting and explanation. Not actual communication. Again, great idea for a story in regards to characters but I couldn’t even get into it enough to continue. Which is hard for me to admit. Sorry :(
