Introduction to Engineering by Brandt Ward Book Summary

This book provides students with a first look at engineering as a discipline and the embedded sub-disciplines associated with engineering as a career path.  The units of work focus on engineering units of measure, forces, moments and the concept of equilibrium. Components of a force, analytical and graphical determination of resultants are explained utilising subject specific videos. Designed as a means of consolidation, this book allows students to reinforce learned knowledge by means of worked examples, set problems and worked solutions. Closely aligned with Queensland’s Engineering Technology Syllabus, this book is an excellent resource for both teaching and learning.
