A fast read with a unique storyline!. 4.5 Hearts The Soul Mate is the fourth standalone in the Roommates series. I have loved each one of these books for different reasons. The storylines. The humor. The feels they give me. They have all been fast reads with the perfect amount of it all. The Soul Mate is Mason and Bren's story... It was only supposed to be one night. One night of multiple, explosive orgasms. What Bren didn't expect was that she felt more for him. And that was exactly why she ghosted him. She could see herself fall for him. One night then she would forget. That was the plan until she thought she was pregnant and shows up to Dr. Bentley's. Well...at least now she knows what her one night stand's last name is. Mason wanted more than one night. He had that feeling the moment he saw her. It was confirmed the night he had her in his bed. The passion and laughs did it for him. He was going to let her know just that when he woke up but she was gone. He looked for her but never expected that she would be a new patient. A new patient that needed to confirm a pregnancy. But, maybe just maybe this was another sign that they should be together. He wasn't going to give up. He needed to know. Which leads to a proposal. No, not that kind... Mason and Bren both feel it. Feel the connection between them. Too bad one of them wants to run from it and the other wants to run towards it. Will they ever be on the same page? I loved Mason. He is swoon-worthy. He is sweet, sexy, and can cook! A romantic on top of that. He also plays rugby. Yumminess all around. Bren sees all this and it scares the f- out of her. She is an independent woman that doesn't want the heartbreak. She sees it enough with the animals she works with at the zoo. She also saw it growing up. Together, they have some big decisions to make. Feelings to discover. And do it knowing there could be a baby on the way. Overall...it's a fast read with a unique storyline. It made me swoon. Laugh. Feel hot and bothered. And smile. Quotes: “You nerds all know how to pick each other.” “You’re a nerd, too, dude” I pointed out. “That doesn’t mean I like my women brainy.” “That was nothing. He moved way too fast. Buying me a new computer for my birthday? Who did he think he was, f- Christian Grey, for crying out loud? Take it easy, am I right?” “If that’s the way you react to a blow ---, you must not have had very many in your life,” she joked, but her hand fluttered to her throat and her eyes gleamed.

Kendall Ryan Perfection. From the first moment I read about this book, I've wanted to read it. I thought it would never get here. Finally, I got a chance to read it and let me tell you, it was soooooo worth the wait! I knew it would be good but it didn't just surpass my expectations, it blew them into outer space! It's not like any book I've read before. I've read a lot of books that are similar to others but this one is uniquely all it's own. Mason is a very romantic, big hearted doctor and Bren is a work confident conservationist that is terrified of commitment. When their one night stand may have resulted in an unplanned pregnancy, how do they handle it? They don't really even know each other but may be attached to one another for the rest of their lives!

Awful... do not buy. It seemed intriguing, but it ended up being ridiculous and boring. The characters were not very interesting and the plot was very bland. It was a waste of my money.

Bad. This was so bad! This book was the worst out of the series! The girl is such a chicken, always running away from mason. Mason deserves so much better, someone who is brave. The girl was weak, always shutting mason down.

Sexy, Sweet fun romance. Witty, fun, sweet, sexy and emotionally gripping romantic adventure that had me laughing and pulled a the heart strings. Great entertainment for a sunny afternoon reading. Mason is a seaming hot, sexy, intelligent and charming alpha male who believes in happy ever after and wants to find his Soul Mate. Bren is a sweet, sexy, sassy and emotionally closed off woman with a comment phobia like you would not believe. She goes out looking for a good time and finds Mason. (oh ya and oops we might have a baby) Loved the twists that took me by surprise.

LOVED!!! 5+ Stars. I absolutely adore Kendall Ryan and everything she writes! She is such a fantastic author and every single one of her books are beyond amazing! The Soul Mate is another perfect example of said awesomeness. Mason is looking for his soul mate and Bren is a commitment-phobe. Put them together and it's certainly a recipe for disaster. But it's also sweet and funny with just a bit of angst. I love, love, loved everything about this book and I highly recommend it!! 5+ Stars ⭐️

Happily Ever After?. Can a one night stand turn into forever. Mason is a ob gyn that is single and is a guy that believes and is holding out for his one true love his soul mate . Bren does not do relationships after what happened in her past she runs away when a guy gets to close. She is also Mason's one night stand that leaves him without a word . Mason finds himself not being able to Forget her he looks for her for days. Until the day he goes into the exam room and realizes the woman he has been fantasizing about is his patient and she may be pregnant with his baby. Bren pushed Mason away do many times I thought this couple would never get together. Mason had the patience of a saint. Most men would have run after being treated the cold way Bren treated him. She was so hot and cold with him she gave me whiplash. She had a past that a lot have people have went through and a lot of people have lost someone they love, aBut you just can't live your life not letting anyone in with the fear of losing them. It seems like Macon is fighting s losing battle . Can he change Bren's views of love and get the HEA they deserve

Sexy, sweet rom com!. 4 Stars! Get ready for the next sweet, sexy read from Kendall Ryan! I really enjoyed this fun read. I was pleasantly surprised at the way this story played out. I wasn't what I expected, but I think in the end it was quite perfect. As usual, Kendall Ryan has given us a great hero and heroine. Mason is pretty near perfect--hot, sexy, a doctor and seriously the most-understanding man ever! Bren is a bit flawed, a lot insecure and so relatable. Both of them have been affected by their childhoods, in completely opposite way, and it just adds to the depth of the story itself. And wait until you read the epilogue...so sweet! You're going to swoon over this new book!

Enjoyed. Why is it of late that I love the male characters but hate the females because they are whiny twits. If you can get past that, this book is a good read.

Hot and hiliarious read!. The first few chapters of this book are hilarious and embarrassing for main character Bren. But how Mason handles the situation makes you fall for this sweet guy. And then begins the romance with a few challenges that having you pulling for both characters. This was a super fun and light read from Kendall Ryan. So enjoyed it. 5 stars for sure.

Great Storyline. I've been waiting quite impatiently for The Soul Mate ever since I read the blurb. It was definitely a good read, things just went a little differently than I was expecting. It's a fast paced book with a lot happening in a short amount of time, but I still loved the concept of the book. It had it's funny moments, but it was also serious. Bren is an interesting one. She's not your typical female character, in fact she thinks and acts more like a male character would. She's still likable, she just can get frustrating with how she deals with the problems she faces. She goes through a journey in this book and has to really deal with her past and how it has effected her still to this day. I love Mason! He's a smart, determined, caring guy who knows what he wants in life. I like how he just rolls with everything that happens in his life, even though it may not be what he planned. He's just a genuinely good guy who's looking for his soul mate. His relationship with Bren is rocky at times, but they just click with one another and therefore make it work. It was a cute book!

Yawn. So boring. I tried, I really tried to enjoy this book. It was so hard to read to the end.

Hot Dr. ALERT. I absolutely loved this book, it's full of awkwardness and lol moments, it's a sweet light read that I had the pleasure of reading early. Mason made me swoon all kinds of swoony swoons. He's so sexy and gentle and he's a Dr people. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM. I especially liked his conversations with Trent, wink wink! I hope I see more of him. I adored Brens character, to me she was as real as they come with actual real fears, she's extremely relatable. She's kind of adorable too. This is a sweet and sexy book that's sure to keep you flipping through. Yes there are sexy hot times here too. I mean he's a hot Dr. who sees Vag everyday of course he knows what to do with said vag. This book will heat you up but at the same time keep a smile on your face. I adored this story.

Fantastic!. This story was amazing. It was funny, and deep, with a lot of steam nosed throughout. These characters are realistic and their chemistry is off the charts! This my first read by this author, and I am leaving very satisfied. I will be telling tons of people about this book. Absolutely fantastic story!!

Looking for your Lobster. 4.5 stars This was a really sweet and swoony romance! Yes, there's some instalust/love, but in this case it really works! You will fall for Mason and Bren and root for them to get their happily ever after. Though this is book 4 in the Roommates series, it can be read as a complete stand alone. I thought it was incredibly refreshing to have the hero be the more romantic and expressive person of the pair. Mason was not afraid to lose his man card by talking about his feelings or taking a leap of faith in the name of love. Make no mistake though, Mason is the total alpha package. He is smart, handsome, caring, loving, sexy, and an all around good guy who has lived his life searching for his soul mate. He has always believed that when he finds the one, that she will be it for him and that he will just know in his heart that it's her. He's no saint though, and let's just say he's been very thorough in his long time search. Bren, on the other hand, has closed herself off from love and attachment due to experiences in her past/present. Will Mason be able to break down Bren's walls to give them a real chance at a relationship, or will the pressure of having a child together prevent them from ever knowing if the connection was true? I really enjoyed this one, even with all of the push and pull and occasional over the top moments. Sometimes Mason seemed too good to be true, but I loved how patient and understanding he was throughout the book. Yes, he and Bren both make mistakes, but for better or for worse, they both believe that what they are doing is for the best. There were some really emotional moments in this book dealing with grief, loss and love, but I think it was balanced really well with the more lighthearted scenes. The secondary characters, especially Bren's boss, Mandy, were great comic relief as well as a much needed voice of reason. If you're looking for a sweet and fun romance, definitely pick up The Soul Mate! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

The idea of soul mates is an interesting one; it’s a belief that some people adamantly subscribe to, but it’s also one that many others don’t buy into simply because of the sheer number of people one meets during his/her lifetime. Regardless of which side readers of Kendall Ryan’s newest release, The Soul Mate, are on, the undeniable attraction and the pull the hero and heroine feel towards each other in the story speak to an inexplicable connection between them - one that at least one of the main characters believes is their destiny while the other one is too afraid to label any part of what’s being felt because past experience dictates that there’s no such thing as a single person who’s meant to be theirs and theirs alone. Dr. Mason Bentley whole heartedly believes that there is one woman out there for him…his one true love, and as soon as he finds her, he knows that, together, they can tackle any obstacle and overcome anything that threatens what they have. Due to his beliefs, he lives his life navigating the world of dating always conscience of meeting and claiming his soul mate. Bren Matthews might believe in everyone having one special someone, but her fears and her upbringing keep her emotionally unavailable and force her to protect her heart at all costs, running from the pain that could possibly occur by letting down her walls and giving someone else the power to destroy her. Mason and Bren couldn’t be more opposite in their beliefs about love and commitment, so the fact that they can’t stop thinking about their one night together and what it could ultimately mean makes the story line intriguing and a bit perplexing. And then when Kendall Ryan puts Mason and Bren in a situation where they could possibly be linked to one another for the rest of their lives, the whole dynamics of what they were supposed to mean to each other is drastically altered, leading to decisions and actions that have Mason setting a clear path to the one thing he’s always wanted while pushing Bren too hard and too fast, forcing her to shut down and build up her walls as high as they can go so she doesn’t have to face Mason’s feelings or deal with her own. I love that Mason’s the one who believes in the idea of love and romance, and the way that he goes about winning Bren over, declaring that she’s the one almost instantly will definitely have readers swooning. Some readers might be a bit frustrated with some of Bren’s actions, but Ryan does a good job of clearly explaining why Bren is the way she is and what it costs her to even contemplate giving Mason and his desire to be with her a chance. The Soul Mate is a sweet and steamy read that gives readers hope that love at first sight and finding one’s soul mate can still occur even in contemporary society - one filled with heartache, divorce, and selfishness. Mason is a wonderful hero who never gives up on Bren because he 100% believes that they’re meant to be together, and while Bren is a harder sell when it comes to defining what she feels for Mason, her struggle means there’s still a way for Mason to break through the wall that surrounds Bren and dismantle it with every kind gesture, every sweet word, and every attempt to make them more than a one night stand. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

A Big Yawn Fest. Terribly boring! Bren had a dull, colorless personality and was a pretty flat character. The storyline was lackluster and never really developed. I wanted to skip large chunks of the book, but I forced myself to read it. I am sure with these two main characters as parents, poor Gwen and Jacob were born moronic and inert!

Nononono... please tell me it's not over!. Ok this one pulled on my heart stings. Mason has to be the sweetest man I've ever read about. Some things he did made me shake my head (too soon Mason, just too soon). But his heart was in the right place. Bren made me want to reach into the book and slap her! She needed a seatbelt to keep from running. I was thankful there was no drama. Just straight up no nonsense, really enjoyable read. I love how they got together. This was such a smart read. I also enjoyed that they were both in their 30's. They knew what they wanted. They knew what needed to be done. Part of me wished some events were different but that is only my wishful thinking. I did enjoy this read. I did tear up a bit. I'd recommend.

No one does romance quite like Kendall Ryan!. No one does romance quite like Kendall Ryan! The Soul Mate is a sexy and sweet read, that will melt your heart. You're introduced to two truly uncommon characters. The flip-flop of personalities was a joy to read. Usually you'll read books where the man has a problem with commitment. But in The Soul Mate, you get the complete opposite. Although the romantic aspect of this book was top-notch, the comedic level doesn't quite live up to the capacity as the previous books in the Roommates series, in my opinion. I guess the chances of finding humor is a largely awkward and uncomfortable situation can be challenging. Because really, how funny would you find it if you thought you were pregnant and the OB-GYN was the very man who potentially knocked you up? See...not so funny when the shoe is on the other foot. Overall, I really liked this book. It's pretty impossible to not enjoy a book written by Kendall Ryan. The writing was well executed, and the dynamic between the characters was unique and very endearing. A love story with all the feels, The Soul Mate will leave you wanting more!

Ravishing!. I’ve been read 15+ Kendall Ryan novels and this is one of my favorites. I can relate to the main character Bren in this one. It’s personable, short and sweet. A great evening read 💖

A Must Read!!!. This was such an awesome addition to the Roommates series. The banter, the feels, the past which make Bren so scared to make that leap and take a chance on Mason. It was just everything. We get their highs and lows, and of course the added twists for them. Be prepared to get sucked in and dedicate a few hours to this read, because once you start you won't want to put it down.

Terrible heroine. The heroine’s aversion to relationships was quite frankly stupid and RIDICULOUS! I hated her. Don’t waste your time

Great addition to a great series. This series just got better and better with each book and what a way to end a series with the gorgeous Dr Mason Bentley who is not only extremely hot he is also sweet, caring and really funny. A one night stand for Bren and Mason turns into so much more with Bren believing she is pregnant, the last person she expected to be the OB-GYN doctor she was recommended to by her best friend (because you can't trust those pee on a Stick things from the local pharmacy ) is the guy she snuck out on whilst he was still sleeping, embarrassing yes but the way Kendall Ryan tells it makes it also hilarious. Bren and Mason want different things, he is looking to find his soulmate she is not ready to settle down or at least she wasn't until there was a chance she was pregnant, so they decide to not look at the results to get to know each other and see where it takes them. I'm not telling you anymore of the story you can read the blurb but remember sometimes things are not what the seem...... This is a romantic comedy but it's also tinged with sadness, Kendall Ryan is fast becoming one of my favourite authors she has a knack of drawing you in and making you love all of her characters, yes I'm sad this series has ended or has it, we can only hope that she has few more characters she can write about in this series, but for now thank you Kendall for giving us a new book Boyfriend to dream about in Dr Mason Bentley.
