Loved it. I'm a romantic at heart. This book did not disappoint. The great friendship and love of these two characters had me in full suspense I thought my heart would combust. Just the right mix. Thank you Penelope!

Daddy Mack. I really enjoy this authors work and this book was another fun read. I love the quirky female that is awkward when she meets the HOT roommate and then becomes his best friend storyline. You know from the start that it is going to evolve but then it doesn't. Now we have a second chance romance but she is involved with someone. What is a man supposed to do, try harder. Great read!

So boring. 😩 it was so hard to read the last few chapters. Never ending drag of a story.

Book funk. This books was just what I needed to break my book funk. I kept buying books but for months nothing really held my interest, I read this book in 24 hours and I was craving more.

Such a touching story!. Such a touching story! I couldn't put this book down. I loved the dynamic of Frankie & Mack's relationship at the beginning of the story, and I especially loved reading how it evolved. True to form for the Penelope books I have read, this story brings to light several issues that I, personally, didn't know much about but that many people deal with daily. And holy cow, did this book have a lot of twists. I mean, a lot of very unexpected ones. Lots. The emotions between Mack and Frankie were so wonderfully done. You want a story where you can FEEL the love? This is it. I can't wait for Penelope's next book! (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)

I just fell in love!. So, the characters of this book are more interesting than any I’ve read in a while. I love their character flaws that are so real. But the real clenched was the unexpected gush of happiness I got when Buffy the vampire slayer references showed up in this book. That is my all time favorite show and was an unexpected surprise to have them discuss their love for the show. That won the book right there for me!

Review: Mack Daddy. Mack Daddy by Penelope Ward is a standalone second chance romance told in dual POV between Mackenzie (Mack) and Francessca (Frankie). He's a single dad, she's his son's new teacher. It's been eight years since they parted ways both longing for a different outcome and having to make-do with their lives and move on as best they could, but now, they are back in each others lives and things can either go really well or head straight down the drain. An angsty journey that has flashbacks throughout slowly giving us the full picture of what went down between them all those years ago. Not one word has this woman written that I haven'y loved. Mack Daddy is no exception. Enjoy!

Oh soo sexy. Oh my Mac and Frankie oh what a story how life gives you those unexpected experiences and finding your true love again this is a MUST READ for those that love Penelope Ward you will love this book!!

Oh boy, Mack Daddy!. I love everything Penelope Ward writes, and this book is no exception! Frankie and Mack will steal your heart! (So will Jonah!). A must read! It has been in my library for a while. Not sure what took me so long!

Penelope Ward always delivers, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.. Mack is nothing short of delicious. He’s incredibly sexy, a great dad and an all-around nice guy. I am not sure how anyone could resist him when he focuses the full force of his charm onto you. Frankie is sweet, but she definitely has a hard time figuring out what she wants. There’s reasons she doesn’t trust Mack; therefore, he has his work cut out for him to convince her to take a chance on him. Mack Daddy is everything you want in an excellent second-chance romance. You’ll feel Frankie’s gut-wrenching emotions when she is unexpectedly reunited with Mack, and your heart will squeeze hoping they get their happily ever after. If you are okay with a bit of a love triangle, you will absolutely love Mack Daddy. Penelope Ward always delivers, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next. Beautiful story. All the feels. Amazing and so realistic. Well written as well. Really could relate to the characters. The perfect amount of Happy, sad and funny moments.

I loved it!. This story is so stupidly Romantic, that I almost don’t know what to do with myself. I was laughing, and crying, and then ready to rage the next minute. My emotions were all over the place. I felt so discombobulated about everything, and I absorbed every single inch of this story ravenously. A tragic love story with so many uphill moments that I was pretty sure I was going to become a nervous wreck by the end of it. Mack and Frankie belong together. There simply could not be any other way. They deserve each other, and they are the very example of what fated love should be. Their love was so strong, and unbreakable. It’s a love to be envied, and a love to strive for. The surrounding characters were just as well functional, and interesting. I do kind of wish Moses showed up later in their story, but we can’t always get what we want. The story thrived without it, anyway. I would highly recommend this book. It’s not super steamy, but the steamy parts are exactly the right amount for the amount of delicious angst you get leading up to it. I was fully satisfied with every single part of this book, and I look forward to rereading it several more times in my future. You should definitely be reading this book! A little side note: I was very pleased that OCD was shown in a more factual light. I’m constantly frustrated by OCD stereotypes that paint people that live with this condition a certain, and specific, way. We are more than that, and this book did this topic justice. I really appreciated that. I also enjoyed the fact that it was just a small part, and didn’t overpower the entire story. It was tasteful, and full of respect.

Another amazing book. This book has a special place in my heart because of the character Frankie. I am an elementary special education teacher with OCD in the Pure O form. I felt like this book was meant for me. I loved the romance and how they found their way back to each other. I loved how she was like a special gift to Mack’s son as well. I read this in less than 24 hours and was so glad I found it!

Extremely Slow. I'm really surprised this has such a high rating. This book was soooo sloooow. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen but it just never came. I think the character development was excellent but the story was just weak.

I Love all of your books but..... This books had so much promise. I absolutely love her writing style and humor in her books. This story somehow felt rushed toward the end. There were too many explanations and not enough dialogue. Which disappointed me so much because I have literally read ALL of her books but this one left me...blah. I hope Mr. Moneybags isn't like this.

Wow. Penelope did it again! ❤ I might like this best. All of her books are full of steam and angst and then when the characters finally go for it, it's like an explosion. One of the reasons I like her books, this one was the same but I liked that that Mack always knew what he wanted and was very up front about it. No beating around the bush or thinking "will he" or "won't he". That was refreshing. What you need to know. This is a standalone, def contemporary, h.e.a. Happy reading 💜💜💜💜

Fantastic funny read. Mack Daddy is a standalone book that had me hooked from the first page, this book has it all, It's sexy,funny but it's also a moving second chance/friends to lovers story. Mack is a single dad who will do what ever it takes to give his son the right teacher and that teacher just happens to be Frankie (the girl that got away) . Frankie was best friends/roommate with Mack back in their college days but they came from different backgrounds and Mack broke her heart when he left for the summer and never came back. Mack was the only one who saw the quirky girl with the thick rimmed purple glasses for what she was, a beautiful caring person but his life back then was not his to control, now he is in control and he wants not only Frankie to be his sons teacher he wants her in his life again.... the problem is will the past get in the way again. This book not only gives you a funny,quirky,sexy love story it also covers a subject that many authors would shy away from OCD, but it doesn't end there we also have the subject of children from broken homes. Penelope Ward has done a fantastic job giving you just enough humour mixed in with drama and emotions. Fantastic Read

Could be better. The start was so good! The first page roped me in and I was hooked... then towards the end it just flopped. I still enjoy Penelope Wards writing style and flow of words though. Great storyline, just a tad overboard with the drama of the families.
