Feel good short story. This is a short msytery between the Southern Ghost Mystery novels. Verity & Frankie, her gangster ghost sidekick, are hired to find out who is letting the animals out of their cages at the local animal shelter. In exchange someone at the shelter offers to teach Lucy, her pet skunk, to walk on a leash. A feel good read. Mystery solved, Frankie & Lucy reach an agreement, and we find out Frankie can be a softy at times.

Delightful!. Dog Gone Ghost by Angie Fox is the latest short story (Book 4.5) in The Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. Verity Long is trying to teach her pet skunk, Lucy to walk outside using an adorable gingham harness and matching leash. Unfortunately, the training is not going well. It does not help that Lucy is afraid of Frankie, the resident 20s gangster ghost. Verity is trying to coax Lucy out from the woodpile when she is approached by Bree LaMont. Bree works at the Sugarland Animal Sanctuary. Recently, someone has started letting the animals out of their cages at night. Bree would like Verity to use her ghost hunting abilities, but she is unable to pay her. Verity agrees to trade leash training for ghost hunting. Everyone is happy except Frankie, who prefers cold hard cash. It takes a little convincing, but Verity finally gets Frankie to agree to assist. Later that night, Verity, Lucy and Frankie head to the sanctuary. In solving the sanctuary’s problem, Verity will also get answers on what happened to a little boy who disappeared a decade ago. Join Verity, Frankie and Lucy on their latest caper in Dog Gone Ghost. Dog Gone Ghost is just delightful. It will make you laugh out loud, and you might even shed a tear. I found Dog Gone Ghost to be well-written, easy to read, and to have a fast pace. This book (actually the series) has loveable characters that you want to revisit again and again. I give Dog Gone Ghost 5 out of 5 stars. Dog Gone Ghost is a short story, but it is a delightful addition to The Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. While Dog Gone Ghost can be read alone, I suggest you read all the books in this highly engaging series. Frankie, his friends and antics are a constant source of amusement. I cannot wait for Sweet Tea and Spirits (the next book in the series) to come out this spring.

Good read. Love this series. This book made me laugh and cry. Did not want to put it down. Verity does it again but this time a little sad and poignant. This one has a small boy and his dog. Both ghosts. A very sweet and touching story.

Southern ghost hunter mysteries. I really enjoy this series. I think it would be a good show on tv or Netflix as well.

Dog Gone Ghost. Great short story

Dog on ghost. A quick read & a fun story. Love this Arthur & her ghost. A refreshing change from all the sex, violence and swearing.

All the Feels!. Angie Fox managed to put enough of an emotional punch in this short story for an entire novel. She is a great author and I can't recommend her enough! Can't wait for the next adventure with Verity and Frankie. Hopefully Lucy will start getting comfortable with Frankie soon!

Break out the tissues for this heartwarming tale!. In Dog Gone Ghost Angie Fox delivers another delightful short story in her Southern Ghost Hunters series. Verity Long is back with her precious pet skunk, Lucy, and long deceased gangster side-kick, Frankie, to help a family heal and begin to move forward. Tackling a sensitive subject, Fox brings a calming sense of closure to senseless things that forever changed a heartbroken couple. This sweet tale offers lovely possibilities in the face of unspeakable loss. Verity and company are becoming old friends, and Fox never disappoints to give her readers a well written, thought provoking read that's entertaining, at the same time. It's also nice that we get more character history snippets, bringing us a little farther into Verity's world. Having dealt with a devastating loss quite recently, because of the well crafted story, the human aspect, or the way the story deals with profound loss, this may be my favorite of this series. It's a perfect bite-sized read when you need an hour of 'me' time.

Training Fun with Your Ghost. A novella in the Southern Spirit series, this story expanded the character development of two main characters and Lucy, the skunk. It was exciting to see how the major theme of training Lucy followed the characters in every part of the plot even in figuring out the puzzles exhibited by the ghosts. The storyline drew the reader into trying to find out what was happening at the animal rescue and with the ghost that was found. The interactions between the characters had me laughing, crying, and then sympathizing. It was a marvelous experience watching the story progression. This engaging novella provided insight into the grieving process. I loved the characters especially the ghosts and would highly recommend this novella.

Love!!. Love the Southern Ghost Hunters series & & Dog Gone Ghost does not disappoint. I am such a fan of Verity, Frankie, & the rest of the gang & this story is even better because it focuses on dogs! My only complaint of Dog Gone Ghost is that its too short. Book provided by the author & I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy

Verity saves the day again!. This is a great series. I love reading about Verity's adventures with her gangster ghost side kick. This short story was very touching. Verity helps a lost child and his canine pal. It is a quick read, but still has all the fun the regular books in the series have. It also is a tear-jerker. Grab your tissues!

Sweet story. Such a sweet short story. Very good read!!

Love love love this book. I am so enjoying this series… but this one actually brought me to tears… you have to read this one… I love kids and puppy dogs…. This is the best quick read ever!

Fun Fast Read. Let me start by saying how much I enjoyed this novella. It fit in perfectly with the other stories in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries Series. The main character Verily is trying to get her pet Lucy to walk on a leash but is in need of some assistance. Perfect timing issues when a lady from the local pet sanctuary asks for her help. In order for her to provide her help she has to convince her partner in crime Frankie to help her. That night they go to visit the pet sanctuary to see if they can stop the ghost nuisance. In the process of solving the hart tugging mystery Verily and Frankie have an amazing adventure and help a family find peace.

Dog Gone Ghosts. Enchanting book! Verity rescues a ghost and his dog. Very touching story. Betty

Must read!!!. Such a precious story!!! Loved the heart warming story. This whole series is a must read.
