Surprise Wedding. First time reading this author. A sweet and clean story, but seemed a bit too long and really didn’t hold my attention.

Beautiful. Heartwarming, young love that refuses to die down after a decade of heartache and loss.

Sweet Second Chance Story. I loved the small town of Blueberry Springs. All the eccentric, nosy and loving neighbors are wonderful. They look out for each other and are willing to lend a helping hand when needed ....or when they believe it’s needed. Hahaha I really liked Devon. He is such a sweet, caring and good hearted man. Seeing that his town is in trouble Devon is willing to do whatever it takes to save it. Even if that means working together with his ex. She blew his heart to smithereens years ago and he’s still trying to recover. Doing what’s in the best interest for his town will be hard but he’s not willing to just give up and let the town fall to ruin. Olivia is sweet, hardworking and determined. She’s on a mission to not only save her family’s company but make it better. Imagine her surprise when Devon is the one to present her with an opportunity to do just that. Their relationship had ended less than amicably and she always regretted it. With walls built high around her heart Olivia excepts Devon’s offer and travels to Blueberry Springs. Things start to get crazy as protesters attack every chance they get. Trying to win over the hearts and minds of the people in Blueberry Springs and dispel the negative PR Olivia and Devon suddenly find themselves engaged. Will this fake engagement end up destroying both their careers and leave them both still heartbroken...or will it help them to overcome the past? Allowing them to heal and mend the broken pieces. Will it rekindled the love they once had for each other?

Great read. I hope you have time. It is hard to put this one down. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Second Chances!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Great story and great detail is taken to draw the town of Blueberry Springs and the people in it for you. I felt like I was there, and living thru the annoyance, pain and forgiveness between Devon and Olivia.

Easy read. So I enjoyed this book. Lovely story and very funny at parts. My complaints are that it was a little predictable and that the characters thoughts became quite repetitive.

Bad Story Line. The background story of the pending dam is totally unrealistic making the whole book a poor read.

Sweet Small Town Romance. What a great start to a small town romance series. What I really enjoyed the most was the authors character development. The characters are very relatable - true to life with real problems, conflicts and emotions. The storyline kept my interest and at times it was very hard to put this book down. I kept wanting to read just one more chapter. Since I didn’t realize there was a prequel to this series, I will definitely be going back to read “The Promise”. I am also looking forward to reading the next book in the Blueberry Springs world. The Surprise Wedding. Delightful read! The characters are well developed, intriguing, and real. The intertwining of their off-on relationship, past hurts and doubts, current hurts and doubts, and the deep healing they encounter together make this real life. The mischief of the town folks add just the right amount of fun, support, and loyalty to the whole story. Great clean very romantic read. Thank you. Looking forward to more of Jean Oram’s books.

Excellent!. I devoured this book! I love the characters and the story. Once again, Jean Oram delivers.

Love finds a way. I loved reading about Devon and Olivia. That they were in love during college, but driven apart by her parents is a small part of what makes this book so real. How they finally come together is as much of a surprise as the wedding the town throws for them near the end of the book.

When these two meet up again Devon is trying to save his hometown of Blueberry Springs and believes that he has the secret ingredient Olivia needs to make her family's cosmetics all natural...but will they be able to keep it strictly business or will the feelings that both thought they were over...come back from deep in their hearts??? Another great read by Jean Oram.

Enjoyable from cover to cover. Such an enjoyable mystery that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Scalawags and heroes have to outwit the other to save the town.

A Surprise Wedding. A delightful story of life in a small town and second chance romance. Devon is running for mayor of Blueberry Springs, and in desperation, enlists the help of Olivia, his college ex. Straight-laced and up-tight, she’s an executive in the family cosmetics company, looking for the ‘magic’ ingredient for her new product line, which Devon believes is found near town. He’s far too laid back to be campaigning for mayor, so Olivia helps to improve his image—both literally via his physical appearance, and by posing as his fiancé. What could go wrong? Many things, of course, making a highly entertaining read.

The Surprise Wedding by Jean Oram. I loved this story of Devon and Olivia and their love and heartbreak. They had been lovers in college when Olivia became pregnant , Devon was all in to have a family but Olivia didn’t see it happening so she left him . Olivia had a miscarriage and now ten years later they come together to fulfill both of their dreams in their present lives . The two had so much hurt because of the past . You need to read these twos story to find out everything turns out.

Loved it!. I couldn’t stop reading this book and then I didn’t want it to end.

Great story. The characters were well made. Their actions and reactions... their emotional responses... all realistic. The town as a whole was a great secondary character. :) The story flowed nicely. The action and drama had a nice ebb and flow to it.

Second Chances. Devon and Olivia have been apart for ten years and there is a lot of pain between them. However in order to save his town, Devon must persuade her not only to speak with him but to buy into his plan. Star crossed lovers, who were previously not able to hold on to their love for each other; will they get together this time, or will they need the help of the town?

What a great romantic read. This warm sweet romantic story had me feeling all kinds of emotions! From laughter to tears this well written story has it all including a big surprise at the end which was not expected! Once started I did not want to put this down and I can't wait to read more in the series! Would defo recommend this great start to a new series!

The Surprise Wedding. If it were possible, no Stars would have been awarded. I honestly do not like giving negative reviews as everyone enjoys different aspects of life. I had to give up on this book after struggling through 46%. The main characters are so buried in annoying self talk, some of it so derogatory, it leaves them undeveloped and stops the story from progressing. Honestly, the writing destroyed the characters and any chance of believing the story. I know it’s fiction, and I know characters can be obnoxious, but there’s no justifying using insulting phrases when language offers a rich diversity of interesting and subtle choices.

The Surprise Wedding. I love Devon and Olivia's story. They were so in love when they first dated but life wasn't meant to be easy and circumstances caused them to part. They should have trusted and believed in each other, but they were young. They get a second chance when Devon reaches out to Olivia for help in saving his home town. What starts as a fake relationship quickly spirals into dangerous territory as old feelings come to the surface. Can they make it work? This story is filled with great characters and has lots of emotions. I look forward to reading more about the people of Blueberry Springs.

Loved it. I truly loved this book. Full of great characters and a good story line. A nice romantic story with a bit of humour thrown in. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Love It!. Such a strong start to a new series. We see Devon and Olivia 10 years after their breakup and events from the prequel, The Promise. The characters all feel very real and have insecurities and doubts. I had a hard time putting it down. Definitely one to be read!
