A great read. This was a great addition to the Lucky series. While I didn't want to like Amber at first, the further we read in to the book the more we understand about her situation. Her and Mike are explosive in the sheets, and I was glad to see the obstacles they've overcome (the Corwin "curse", her con act with him, and her past coming back to visit). I loved catching up with Derek and Gabrielle, and can't wait for Jason's book!!! I would definitely recommend this read!

What Happens in Vegas Doesn't Always Stay IN Vegas... Great Read.. This is the second book in the Lucky series. You do not have to read book one "Lucky Charm", but if you really want to enjoy this book I suggest reading it first. This book starts off in Vegas where Derek Corwin's Mike, who is a police detective in Boston, is there with his partner for his destination wedding. While there he meets Amber, gets drunk and you know the age old story. Uh oh..marriage and Corwin curse! Well, just what about that little old curse you ask? And what about " What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" Funny you should ask...The curse well is for those in love, right? Can't fall in love in less than a day can ya. As for the other well let's just say Amber helped that along. You'll have to read the book to get all the fun details on this on. Great book about trust, love with some mystery thrown in. Loved it!!. Another fun, sexy and great read in the Lucky Series by Carly Phillips! This time we get Mike's story. In typical Vegas fashion, he meets Amber, parties hard and they wind up married. But when he wakes in the morning....she's gone with the $150,000 that he won. The "curse" has struck again. Amber isn't a bad person. Just a desperate one trying to keep her head above water and her father in a nursing home that costs more than she has. After taking his money, Amber simply can't take the guilt she feels, so she tracks Mike down and comes clean about it all. She isn't taking no for an answer when she tries to incorporate herself into her husbands life. And thank goodness she didn't. These two are electric!!! Their chemistry under the sheets and out of them is hot. They are a great match! One more couple to break the Corwin Curse!! Sexy, fun, full of great characters and family that make you fall deeper in love with this series. Great read! Happy reading! :)

Lucky streak. Unbelievably stupid. A detective meets a girl in Vegas, marries her within hours, wins a lot of cash, she runs off with it and gambles away half with her con ex-partner, runs from the man she cheated, and tracks down her husband to live a happy life. Worse the husband sleeps with her within hours of her return and lets her borrow his car. He shouldn’t have been written as a detective but as a lonely, gullible, and desperate man. All the exclamation points were really annoying...was she five? I couldn’t finish this book. You know they get together and the beginning was just too stupid for me.

Take a gamble. Great read, this is the second book in the rerelease of the Corwin Curse series, and I haven't read this series yet and loving it so much. Carly Phillips shows how great of an author she always has been. Amber Lee and Mike Corwin are great together and there story is so interesting. Plus you get to see Edward and Clara story and more information on Edwards life. Then you also still get to keep up with Gabby and Derek and we get to meet Jason for the final book in this series.

I loaved Mike and Amber and their crazy story!. The second book in this series is Mike Corwin and Amber Brennan's story. Amber spent most of her life watching her father pull off con jobs, until she decided to move to California to start her own, legal life where she worked as a hotel concierge. When her father develops Alzheimer's rather quickly she needs to quit her job and go back to working that lifestyle with her dad's partner, Marshall, to earn some quick money for his care. After Amber earns what she needs, she tells Marshall she is done. Problem is Marshall isn't done with her. He needs her perfect memory to help him get more money that he owes someone else and starts to grab her in the middle of a casino. Mike is a cop in Boston, MA and is in Las Vegas, NV for his partner's bachelor party. While he is there he happens upon a female who is being grabbed a little rough by some guy and comes to her rescue. Mike and Amber end up hanging out together for the rest of the night and have a great time. So much that they end up married and winning $100,000. Mike thinks since he just met Amber, and he isn't in love with her, this marriage might just work and he won't invoke the Corwin curse. Problem is he wakes up in the morning and his bride and his money is gone. Mike heads back to Boston and a few days later Amber shows up and then the real fun begins. Mike is determined to ignore her while Amber is determine to get him to forgive her for what happened. When the entire story unfolds, Mike agrees to help Amber and then they will get divorced. Of course nothing happens as planned. I just adored these two. They were my favorite couple in this series. They were opposites in many ways but they just worked. I loved their happy ending and really enjoyed re-reading this story.

Sexy fun romance. Wild, sexy, fun and engaging opposites attract romance. This Corwin is in Vegas for his partners wedding and on a hell of a lucky streak and married to what seems like the perfect woman. Mike Corwin is a tough as nails cop and believes he hit the ultimate jackpot in Vegas when he wakes up with a wad of cash and a sexy new wife. Then the other shoe drops and Seems the family jinx has finally hit him. Hard. Amber turns out to be a con-artist and she disappears with the money. Now Mike's hell-bent on divorce and Amber's on the run… Extremely entertaining summer lounge in the sun read. Looking forward to more luck from this interesting family.

Lucky Streak by Carly Phillips. ARC for honest review with no compensation Lucky Charm is the 2nd book in the Lucky series and what a way to continue it with the “curse” over all the Corwin men…."Any Corwin male who falls in love will be destined to lose his love and his fortune”. This is about Mike Corwin, a Boston police officer who goes to Las Vegas with a group of his fellow officers for the wedding of his partner. While there he meets Amber Rose Brennen and they end up have lots of fun, sparks fly and decide to get married. When they head back to Mike’s hotel they decide to play a slot machine and voila he wins $150K and tells Amber that she now owns half. When Mike wakes up the next morning, his new wife and money are gone. He doesn’t tell his friends but he is determined to find her, get his money back and divorce her even though their chemistry is off the charts!!! Amber who is in trouble did what she had to do even though she knows it was wrong. Now that she used some of the money to get out of trouble she is determined to find Mike again and explain why she did it. Once she finds him, the sparks continue to fly between them but will Mike forgive her and keep the marriage going or will the “curse” stop it from happening?? Lots more subplots to keep this “curse” going and setting you up for the last book in the series, Lucky Break! !

My favorite in the Lucky series. This was my favorite of the Lucky books. I adored Amber and the person that she is. My heart ached for her in spots and I wanted to knock Mike up side the head. She is such a strong heroine who has been dealt a bad hand. I love Mike and his crazy family. In this book we get to see how close Mike is to his crazy dad and that he does want the best for him. When he and Amber end up married after a crazy weekend, he knows that he needs to walk away and they are too different. Amber falls fast and hard and before Mike realizes it, he loves Amber, too. It just take him a little while to figure that out. Stubborn man! Loved this one!
