Awesome New Kindred novella. Evangeline Anderson - Bonding With The Beast: A Kindred Tales Novella A highly enjoyable original new story to add to the Kindred series introducing some new awesome characters to the Kindred family and appearances by some beloved series characters, (the heroine, Isabella is good friends with Kat). I highly recommend reading the series in order as storylines, characters, mesmerizing new worlds and planets all build upon each other weaving together a world its easy to lose oneself in (and why would any fan of this author or scifi romance adventure want to miss out on any of these great books).This book as with the others is a fresh, original plot that also weaves itself into the overall Kindred world and events going on there. This is a fast paced novella that had me hooked from the start. A single mom is a great addition, she has a special needs child who is also gifted in many areas. Izzy has escaped an abusive husband who is also unable to accept his son's diagnosis or needs. Her first priority is her child Brandon. Hail is a dark Kindred who has been is now living on the Mother Ship, he has his own trials to overcome as he adapts to having to emotions which were once a crime on his planet. New to socializing as well he is open, honest and forthcoming which is at times comical and heartwarming. Still he is a Kindred with all the protective alpha characteristics they carry (and 10% beast he tries to keep hidden and controlled). A riveting awesome story that will pull at your heartstrings as well as your imagination. There is also an intriguing introduction to the next Kindred book "Surrendered".

AMAZING. Please don't ever stop writing. All of your books are just phenomenal. You are one of my favorite authors and I read everything from classical romance by Thomas Hardy to paranormal erotica. Taming the Beast. I have read all the Kindred bride series and have a few favorites, the beast Kindred being on of them. Hail was is different then the beast Kindred we know. Hail is mostly Kindred but he also has Bolaxian Berserker in him. The beast can be very dangerous. Hail was a Dark Kindred. Though he was so hard on himself there was so much I loved about him. He truly had a good heart. When reading about him I had to wonder what it would be like to adjust the level on your emotions. I do like how he kept his emotions to a level were he had a little feeling. It had to be hard to be use to not feeling to be able to feel. Isobel Yates past had so much pain in it. She had a young son who had Asperger’s Syndrome. I love how Isobel put her son first. She would give her life for him. She never thought she would find a man that would see how special her son truly was. I also loved the moment was read about Hail and Brandon’s interaction. So heartwarming. I feel like I should say more about Brandon which was Isobel’s son. When reading this book you can not help but fall in love with this boy. You will see that he is truly special and a walking genius. I loved how he absorbed knowledge. I love how Isabel was blown a way by the interaction between Hail and Brandon. Brandon never knew what it was like to have a loving father and Hail did not know what it was like to have a family. Each will find something they need a long for. I do not believe every kid could of reach or understood Hail like Brandon. Hail needed Brandon as much as Brandon needed Hail. There is something that happens that will crush Hail’s world. He will have a hard time dealing with it and Isobel is having a hard time reaching him. I have to wonder if Hail was in love with Isobel before he ever met her. I love reading about the growing love that Isobel was starting to have for Hail. I truly loved the fact that this was about a single mother. I would like to see more upcoming books with single mothers and would like to see some on single Kindred fathers. The story was truly special and glad I got the chance to read the book.

Great Series. love everything Kindred I can't seem to get enough of this series. This short but fast paced story was enjoyable and entertaining. I love how this story unfolded and how to opposite attract and through everything they both got the HEA they deserve. Can't wait for the next book in the series to come out. Four and a half. I love it when this author returns to her Kindred series as they are outrageous, totally over the top and such fun. Add in the sexy times and there's a really good reason why so many readers enjoy the thought of escaping humdrum reality with a Kindred of their own ! This book whilst a little shorter than others in the series ( more a novella ) still adds a little something to the overall storyline but it's primarily about this couple finding each other. Isobel is a divorcee who's started all over again with her son Brandon who has Aspergers. She's a devoted mum, very protective and the bond she shares with her son is lovely to read about. Isobel is going to catch up with an old friend on the Kindred mothership but is bowled over when her ride arrives. Not only is Hail the biggest Kindred Isobel has ever seen but he also happens to be the guy who has been haunting her dreams! Hey that spooky enough but when Brandon says he too has dreamt of Hail things start to take a very strange turn . Ok now using a child with any form of autism as a plot device could go either way but it works beautifully here. Told with a sensitivity that makes Brandon an intrinsic part of the story it was heartwarming to read about his interactions with Hail who with his unemotional responses seemed robotic enabling Brandon to connect without the fear that could make human interaction so problematic . It's Hails way of turning off his emotions that drives this story as although Kindred he is part Baloxian which means he has a rage inside him that turns into a true beast when released . Meeting Isobel puts Hail in a quandary as he wants to feel but also fears he might harm her but things don't quite go as Hail anticipates meaning the author gets to have fun with her characters and of course eventually give her readers the happy ending they hope for. I received a copy that I've voluntarily read with no requirement for a review. These thoughts and comments are my own honest and I believe fair opinion

The Kindred. Yet another brilliant book from ‘master’ author Evangeline Anderson, about the Kindred, an alien race finding love and romance with females from Earth. All her books are highly recommended, her characters are always well rounded and believable, her storylines sexy and exciting. Well worth five stairs.
