Murder and Mint Tea by Janet Lane Walters Book Summary
Katherine is a retired nurse and a retired church organist. The small Hudson River village where she lives in her Victorian “Painted Lady” makes her the neighborhood matriarch. Along with her Maine Coon Cat Robespierre, she guards friends and families.
When amoral Rachel moves into the first floor apartment of Katherine’s house, trouble erupts. The murder weapon is one she recognizes and makes her fear for her friends and family. Finding the killer becomes her goal.

Great read. I found the book so good I read it in 1 day. Love to read cozy mystery’s.
Excellent story. A very toxic person gets exactly what they deserve. I would have liked to have seen a HEA though.
Murder & Mint Tea. The beginning chapters were very difficult to follow going back and forth. I felt the characters were not developed very well. I was very disappointed. I decided to continue reading and ended up enjoying the story. The author put together the characters and the story so that it developed a flow. Perhaps the second book in the series fared better as she became more familiar with the characters. I will have to try it. I read a lot of the cozy genre and this first book was a bit of a disappointment.
