My favorite book about crime!. Just when I thought I figured it out, here comes a plot twist! I love this story!

Meh. Shallow characters, rushed beginning, long drawn out middle and unbelievable ending. You might pass on this one.

Very disappointing. Have enjoyed the authors previous books. This was mediocre.

One of the best books I’ve read this year. #AfterAnna #NetGalley **I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review** Better wait until you have plenty of time to start this because you want be able to put it down. No one got fed at my house while I was reading lol. The ending floored me. This author is brilliant! And whatever you do, don’t peak at the ending. It will ruin it. Imagine having you baby taken from you because of post partum. Your husband divorces you and you’re not allowed to see your child. The one day when that child is in high school, she calls you and wants to meet. You have a second chance. She moves in with you and you new husband who has a young son himself from a previous marriage. It’s like the perfect family you always dreamed of. And then things start taking a strange turn. This is what happened to Maggie and her family. Her husband is suddenly on trial for a murder he may not have committed, or did he? The murder of Anna, Maggie’s daughter. But how well does Maggie know her daughter? I can’t stress how thrilling this book was. Now I want to read it over again. I envy those of you who are going to read it the first time.

Excellent. Did not want to put it down

I wanted to like this book. I don’t know if I read the same book that the 5star reviewers did. This book was AWFUL. I wanted to like it but it just wasn’t believable. I skipped through the last quarter of the book just so I could see how it ended. What a waste of time and money.

After Anna. I really enjoyed this book. It kept me wanting to find out the next moves and how it was going to turn out. I really liked the fact there were hardly any cuss words and those were mild. I've always said people can write a great book without all the trash and she did just that. Bravo!!

Her best yet.. Have been a huge fan of Lisa scottoline for years but this one is a true page turner and shows her ability to develop characters and a plot to keep you hooked. Recommended this to everyone I know

So subpar. This book made me cringe. It was so cheesy and not believable at all. Real people would never behave the way the characters did in this book. Do not waste your time reading it.

After Annie. Awful. Don't waste your money. Poorly written, uninteresting, ridiculous plot. Will never buy another book from this author.

After Anna. I didn’t really care for the book, even skimmed over some of it found it almost boring. I was disappointed because I have read another one of her books and I liked it.

After Anna. Last chapter was disappointing. All the lengthy emotional drama in the first three quarters of the book ended in a rushed unbelievable ending.

After Anna. Story was ok but written for a middle schooler. No complexity and surface level character development. This book felt like it was written for an after school special. Really disappointing as I love the authors previous books.

Very clever and captivating.. This book was written so well. Sometimes, going from before to after the dramatic event that centers the book is confusing and frustrating. After Anna was handled very well. All the characters were believable, and I loved the ending. Ms. Scottoline continues to give us great writing.

Too long....well written but too many words in the middle.. Intriguing story and plot but could have been cut in half.

After Anna. Good till end. But, final chapters too far- fetched with mother being allowed to run to house during police operations. Ruined it! Wouldn’t happen that way!

After Anna. Very good cliffhanger novel. Couldn’t put it down. I like that the author wrote in the third person. I didn’t see the twist in plot coming at all. Look forward to more great stories from this author.

After Anna. Excellent book. First time reading from this author. One of those books you don’t want to put down. But then ate disappointed that it’s o ER when you are finished. Definitely recommend.

Surely the most ridiculous book ever.. I’ve read other books by this author that were ok so I don’t know what happened here but this book is nothing short of terrible. I ended up skimming the courtroom scenes and stopped reading short of the ending because the story went bananas and I couldn’t take it any longer.

The next Gone Girl. Literally the next best thing after Gone Girl- very similar layout of the flashbacks and how the story is told. Couldn’t put the book down!
