Twisted Prey is a great read. I loved Twisted Prey. The Lucas Davenport series of books are my favorite of John Sandford’s creations. I’ve read them all and I am so glad that Taryn Grant has finally been stopped. I miss the earlier characters, but have grown to love Bob and Rae, especially Bob. Although the next book could have all of Lucas’ co-horts solving crimes with him, I wouldn’t mind. Love the suspense, how it all comes together and especally love the humorous dialogue. Great read, indeed.

One of the Best Prey novels. I’ve read most all of novels Mr Sanford has written and have to say this was one of his best. It kept my interest from page one to the end.

Twisted Prey. John Sandford is back with another great addition to his Prey series and he’s at his nuanced best. Sandford correctly continues to grow and deepen his characters, none better than Lucas Davenport, showing the wisdom, cynicism, caring, and acceptance that comes with age and experience. We follow Davenport across the country on another manhunt, with many familiar and some new faces, but the foes are smarter and better trained and the outcome isn’t as simple as a result.

Twisted Prey. Great ending but I did think he was playing her to kill the bad person. Liked it and look for more books soon.

Twisted Prey. Another great read! I was born in D.C. Lived near there for 9 years. Many of the locations in Arlington in the book were very familiar since I had a paper route there. We moved to a city in Wisconsin not far from Chippewa Falls, home of Leinenkugels beer "leinies". I have a poster on our family room wall of a bunch of guys drinking beer circa 1880. The title of the poster reads, "It takes a special beer to attract 2,500 men to a town with no women - Leinenkugels ". Lucas and Flowers have excellent taste.

Another excellent book!. Excellent story by Sanford. Love his characters!

One of the top five.. An easy read that doesn’t insult your intelligence or require you to suspend your sense of believability. An actual page turner that you carry with you throughout the day because you can’t wait to see what happens next. John, avoid coauthors and continue writing for the love of the hunt.

Great plot, Fun Read. This Sandford novel is different because it takes place primarily in DC. It is an interesting plot, with lots of beltway dimensions and complications. I really enjoyed it. And it is a pleasant change from Flowers stories.

#27 and maybe the best yet. Unbelievably spellbinding throughout, Sanford has become a true master suspense novelist. I don’t wish to slight all the other books, but I sure loved this one!

Another great book. I couldn’t put this down. What is the government coming to? Politicians have personal agendas and when they can’t get them arranged, they murder and deceive. It’s interesting how they think they’ll never be caught.

Lucas you’re the Man!. Lucas never lets me down. Always a great story. I love that John Sanford brings back characters from other books like Bob & Rae. Love them, along w Virgil & other misc characters from along the way. Don’t hesitate John Sanford still has the juice to keep you reading & interested!! Read the book!

Twisted Prey. This is one of the very best in the Prey series. The characters are well developed and many are utilized from previous novels. The plot is highly interesting and leads the reader on a fast pace tale that is unpredictable. The strong ending was a pleasant twist.

Twisted Prey ... it put me to sleep. To clarify: I’ve read every book (every “Prey” book) written by the author, beginning with his first, “Rules of Prey.” For the most part each book was chilling and hard to put down ... until this one. This book was uneventful and boring. No shootouts, no edge of the seat thrills, no great mystery ... nothing at all typical of Lucas Davenport. No excitement, just a dull book written by a guy who seems more motivated to just keep the money coming in. I struggled just to finish it. Shame on you, John!!

Not Good. I just started reading this series and the previous two books were great. This one, however, was boring beyond belief. I couldn’t even finish it.

Twisted Prey. This has to be the best one yet. Always liked these books. As a former Police Officer who grew up in Minneapolis, I knew the areas that he wrote about. This just carried forward into the Virgil Flowers series. I even like the reference to Joe. Keep them coming, I’ll keep reading.

Twisted Prey. Great read and a good conclusion

Completely Twisted. I can't believe this is the 28th book in the Prey Series!!!! I have loved all of them with the exception of one, Silken Prey. Maybe I was expecting too much of Sandford to have every book wrap up at the end with a pretty little bow, but after over 20 books, it's exactly what I wanted but didn't get, until now. In book 23, Lucas went up against Taryn Grant, a wealthy, narcissistic, psychopathic would-be politician. The thing that I didn't like about Silken Prey was that Ms. Grant seemingly got away with everything that she had done. Now fast forward to Lucas being a Marshall and he gets a call from Senator Smalls to help find out who tried to assassinate him. Senator Smalls suspects now-Senator Grant. This is Lucas' opportunity to catch the bad guy that got away. This book has everything that I love about Sandford's writing: suspense, witty dialogue, some of my favorite characters, and a storyline that kept me riveted from start to finish. I do miss Shrake and Jenkins' cameos in the Prey Series but Rae and Bob have been an awesome addition to this series. *This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
