I is good but I wish it was free. Because if it was free it will be amazing because kids will want to read it.

Why I love this book. This book I read it when I was in fourth grade!! And I loved it Mia it’s such an interesting character, even though it was based on the author, actual story and it’s kind of sad. I mean you’re pulling out a mattress from the garbage and sleeping on it!!! But I’m glad the author is doing well. I love this book. I hope people read it no matter what they like.

This book is amazing. This book is great and you should definitely read it. So realistic and thoughtful. The characters are good and the story is detailed but simple. This is a great book so please read it. Ps this author is amazing too and I wish there was a sequel!!

#4 best book. This is a really goooooooooooooooood booooooooooooooooook and I think yoooooooooooooou should read it

A must read!!!. As this book is one of a few books for Reading Bowl, I must say that it is such a unique and beautiful story that will wrap you into a hug. Thank you Ms. Yang for writing such a realistic and intriguing story for young readers. As I read this story myself, I related so much to Mia and Lupe. Few are the stories that talk about topics like immigration, robbery, poverty and working conditions. I would 100% recommend this book to my students! Thank you! (Remember, nobody is a bike and pennies are valuable!)

Great read!. This book was a delight when I had free time on my hands! it entertained me throughout the whole book and the journey she had to make was keeping me interested the whole time. It was really interesting to see how something like this could be accomplished with time and effort. I really liked this book.

Good read! Definitely recommend to readers.. Wonderful! My teacher started reading this a couple of weeks ago, and everyone's already hooked! Kelly Yang perfectly describes how living as an immigrant is, and how it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Relatable, with characters so realistic that if feels as if I'm snooping into a person's ~actual~ life! - A child not qualified to actually review books

Amazing. Lovely book I very much enjoyed

Amazing 🤌🏼😍🥹😁. I LOVE this book!!I like it that the author based it on a true story of her being a immigrant from China. It shows that life isn’t just happiness and happily ever afters. It is perfect for 9-13 years old. There is parts that might be too violent for some readers. But pretty much a pretty good book.👍🏻

AMAZING!. I started reading this book, and kept reading, and I couldn’t stop until I finished it, at 11:00 PM! READ THIS BOOK NOW IF YOU HAVE NOT!

I love it. I love this book. You should definitely read it. It gives you new views on everything you thought you knew about this world. Sure, it’s a kids book, but that doesn’t mean it’s something to just read in your free time. It’s meaningful, the characters are complex, and you find yourself way more invested in it than expected. And I adore this author. Thank you, Kelly Yang. You transformed by entire quarantine experience.

Front Desk. This story was inspirational!!

Front Desk. Front Desk by Kelly Yang is an AMAZING book! I love how the author shows how Mia feels and what challenges she has to face because of her parents being immigrants. The other books in the series are Three Keys and Room to Dream for those who also enjoyed Kelly Yang’s book.

It’s great. I read it and I loved it

Wow--what a book! The ending is an amazing payoff!!! Well worth reading.. I started out thinking this was going to be a re-make of a beloved book from my childhood THE PINK MOTEL, but this book goes much deeper. The beginning is so intense that I was getting depressed about the state of the world (in July 2019). It's even more appropriate now that the whole world has experienced so much upheaval. The ending is an amazing payoff!!! Well worth reading. This is the story of a girl finding a new life in a new place. I love inter-cultural stories and this had lots of Chinese cultural tidbits and the international family that plays an important role at the end of the story filled me with hope for the future. A beautiful book about how to defeat racism in a gentle but firm manner. It's about the cost of losing your home, but also the ties and friendships you make when you come to a new country. A book clearly written from the heart of the author to all the immigrant children in America. It's lovely! SPOILER (SENSITIVE READER NOTE): I thought the mother being attacked felt too violent for a kids' book even though it isn't directly shown onstage. Go ahead and read it and decide for your own family. At the end of the book, the author's note reveals that this really happened to her mother. :(

Front Desk. This book was amazing. I couldn’t tear myself away.

OMG!. This is one of the greatest books I have ever read!!!!!!!

Great Book to Read!!!. Just read chapter 1 and I am already hooked with Kelly Yang I would definitely recommend this book if you like origami Al books!(Worth it!)

Underrated. bro, I swear, this book needs more attention. it's so good! I can't even describe it! T^T

This book was awsome. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the sequel!!🤞🤞

Amazing!. This is a amazing book from kids from 9-13 years old! Absolutely amazing!

A hopeful journey to a more inclusive America. Where do I begin? This lovely story clearly comes from the heart of a true empath. Each character is rendered with a caring dimensionality that I was taken from laughing to being truly moved at the turn turn of a page. This is a story of resilience even when disappointments are soul crushing. When good things happen, I feel t truly thankful, just as I’m thankful Front Desk came into my world. Beautiful work!
