AMAZING!. I never read a book where I’m making sappy faces and just being drawn in more and more over just a love story. The way this book is written.. the choice of words just help you picture everything soo vividly! 10/10 forsure! Understanding how pain can bring two together is undeniable! I loved this book!

Easy read!. This book had me entertained the whole way through but it took a little long to get to the climax in my opinion. Definitely recommend though!

Good but…. This was a good book and I loved reading it. I really enjoyed the characters and getting to see their younger selves and how their love story came to be, and who they were as adults. Where this book falls off the rails for me is when the two main characters get together after much anticipation at his brother’s wedding. The male protagonist (Elliot) had this Jekyll and Hyde moment with the female protagonist (Macy) that was truly jarring and out of place. The reveal as to why Macy hadn’t spoke to Elliot was too heavy to leave towards the end which in my opinion didn’t allow the characters to absorb this shocking news and move forward in a healthy way. All in all it was a good read, but I think the author could have done better by these two characters.

Beautifully written. I couldn’t put this down and when I had to, I couldn’t wait to get back into the story. I loved this story even though there are sad parts, it’s a beautiful love story.

One of the best books i've ever read.. Usually I have a hard time reading books that aren't mainly focused on relationships and love. This book kept me hooked and as much as I was hoping more relationship would come in I think this book was genuinely perfect. The build up to learn about what the fallout was and the emotion that was in this book is overwhelming. My heart was thumping when everything was revealed and these characters were so relatable it felt as if I was in their shoes. Ontop of that they had a type of love and friendship that I feel everyone who is a hopeless romantic hopes to find one day. 10/10 perfect book.

Devoured it. I finished this book in literally one night after searching high and low to find it in stores, only to find out it’s sold out everywhere in my city…and for good reason!! This book is SO good. The alternating timelines make it impossible to stop reading it, and it’s so well written that you don’t mind reading more. Ms. Lauren you have outdone yourself!

Great Beach Read!. Finished this book on my honeymoon, this was a great easy read for someone who loves romantic stories. I felt it was missing something, the story over all was captivating enough but seemed too easy in the end. Overall, I couldn’t put it down at one point. Would recommend for a light read

All the feels. This book broke my heart and put it back together. For anyone that had that all consuming first love, this book will bring up all those emotions in the best way. This will live in my favorites.

Easy read, spicccyyy. The writing was good, although parts moved a bit too fast and could have used a bit more detail. The book goes from past to present from beginning to end, so if you don’t enjoy books that switch tense a lot beware. The characters have their own personalities and the storyline is easy to understand. There are a few x rated scenes, written very tastefully. I was impressed with how the author worded these parts of the book. The ending felt a bit rushed, which left me feeling a little unsatisfied after finishing it. It also talks a lot about death and grief. Overall it was a good read!

Good news. Even know it won’t let me read it I read it before and it was a miracle how good and long it was and I love long story’s so I decided to write a good review and give it five stars

A comfort book. I absolutely love this book and finished it in a day I was so engrossed. Truly it is a book of longing and loving and unspoken words. Elliot is this wonderfully written by a woman man and I will now forever swoon for him. It made me laugh cry and really feel like I was living it out. Couldn’t recommend this book enough.

Fell in love with reading again. I used to read all the time and even since life got busy, I put books aside. Now that I’m coming up on finishing college, I decided to try reading again. This book is completely worth it. Feeling like you are apart of the book is something I missed so much. This is a definite read!!! (I plan on buying the physical book too)

Wow…and wow… and wow. It’s currently 4 in the morning and i just finished this book in two days. Honestly it’s pretty good and i can tell I’ll read it again in a couple months. Spoiler —- Unpopular opinion: Elliot is kind of the worst tho………

This book was amazing, it was heartwarming, beautifully written and detailed, I really loved the plot and everything about it, it had left me crying violently at points and smiling until my cheeks hurt. I was simply left speechless after I finished it (in one day because I couldn’t put it down) so so so good

Sentimental , heartwarming story. What I love most about this book that the storyline is very heartwarming you can feel the little details between Macy and her father , and with Elliot , it’s a little bit of a different take on love stories and I really enjoyed it , can’t wait to read more novels from a Christina Lauren .

Still think about it today…. I’m a big fan of Christina Lauren books and this was my favorite so far. I read this book over 6 months ago and it’s still one I think about today. It was too good to put down and one I will definitely read again in the future.

Beautiful. I could not put it down! I had looked at it a few times before I picked it for my next read... so happy I read this amazing love story. The characters will make you laugh,cry and cringe with frustration. Then they take your breath away. The deep love Macy and Elliot develop for each other gave me chills ...I never wanted it to end.

Drama. Nice story. Tragic and lovely. A lot of back and forth. Almost a little too much would be my only thing. It seemed the two main characters got annoying towards the middle but the ending was good and tied it altogether so I ended up liking them.

Book Review!! 📚🤍. THIS BOOK!!!! 🤯 Where do I even begin? I honestly loved this book and how it was written so well! Personally I feel like this book was a slow burn, it reminded me of ‘It Ends With Us’ by colleen hoover in the way that it went back and forth between then and now sharing the love story of Macy and Elliot. I loved watching them grow from childhood friends to lovers and seeing how they fit into each others lives even after all the time had passed. I appreciated the fact that the author didn’t rush the ending or have too much time pass after they got back together 🥰

Easy read. This book is an easy read. It’s a book you can read for awhile put down and pick up again later, without feeling the need to stay up all night to finish. The characters are genuine and redeeming and you root for them the whole time.

One word: You. (Possible spoilers) Sit down because this is going to be a long one. (If you get what the review title means your a real one) First let me just say that I loved it, so many feels (Macy and Elliot were so perfect). Now on to the juicy stuff. Sean was a walking red flag. Don’t even get me STARTED on how he reminded me of Ryle (yeah THAT ryle from IEWU). The only slightly redeeming thing about him was how cute he was with Phoebe. The whole back story with Macy and Elliot was an emotional roller coaster 🎢. The feels were so extreme. Like they fr had me laughing, blushing, and crying within one chapter. Bro if that isn’t saying enough idk what will. Also the whole cheating-on-the-love-of-my-life-with-a-knockoff-and-then-her-dad-dying thing made me maddd 😡. How th did he think Emma was Macy 😭😭😭😭 and her dad ……😭😭😭😭😭. Not cool Christina, Lauren not cool. On the other hand I related so much to both of the main character with their love of words. I feel like that’s something anyone reading this book (or any for that matter) would say, but it’s so true. Finally I can’t forget to mention the ending. Ummm there was no reason for it to be so good. Like I’m soooo waiting for the sequel where they are getting married and Macy is pregnant jus sayin. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk 🙏🙏🙏👁👄👁

Good read. The format of the book moving between the two timelines provided an interesting story and was easy to follow. I enjoyed Marcy and Elliot as a couple, just wish the ending was discussed a bit more. Seemed to be wrapped up quite quick and didn’t address the trauma she went through.

One of the best I’ve read.. Seriously such a beautiful love story. It’s depth had me laughing and crying, and totally invested in Macy & Elliot’s return to each other. ❤️
