Middle of the road. This started off well and progressively got worse and worse. Dylan is endearing at times but mostly annoying and Arthur is quite possibly the most melodramatic character, not intended as a compliment either considering he loves theater. The plot is alright but it’s apparent the conflict was forced just to have some sort of progression. He has a complete meltdown because Ben is in summer school and so is his ex? He acted like a control freak when he stalked Ben’s insta and saw posts about Hudson. How was he supposed to break the news about summer school if reacted that way? Oh and the way he victimized himself after the reveal with his 2 friends?! No, hated this so much. Listen, it’s okay to be a flawed character. We all have flaws but man it’s hard to root for someone that quite literally doesn’t have any redeeming qualities. Even villains have something going for them, something that stops them from being 2 dimensional. Arthur? Nope, he treats Ben, Jessie, and Ethan like property. Ben just got out of a relationship, Arthur knew that, so why is he holding that against him? Arthur’s character was alright at the start but I began to abhor his “screen time” midway through the first part of the book. Never hated a character this much. Dylan’s dialogue was just a line too long every time he spoke. He was alright but again its like trying to tell a joke and yeah its funny but then you keep going and try to explain why it was funny and then no one is laughing anymore. Again, the premise of the story wasn’t terrible, but man Arthur just sucked. You can’t root for a character that’s written as a 2-D antagonist of a bad 2000s romcom.

PLEASE MAKE A SECOND BOOK. This book was so entertaining. I was very invested in Arthur and Ben’s character. I cried at the end because I wanted more. I really hope they make a second one, because Arthur and Ben have this undeniable love for each other, and they deserve to be together!

Really is a 4.5. Over all I really enjoyed the book, there were times where I was lost in the book, muted surroundings and all, and then there were times that felt like a let down. It was overall a great book, that I would recommend, but i just didn’t get the same feeling that I did from something like “Call Me By Your Name”.

What if it’s us 2#?. I really enjoyed reading the Arthur and Ben’s love story. It made me laugh at times and emotional at others. I also really loved Ben’s best friend Dylan as well as the other characters as well, and although the ending made me very sad because of the abrupt ending I didn’t feel like Ben and Arthur really got closure, I really hope there will be a second book because I really enjoyed this book and hope that Arthur and Ben’s story continues.

This needs to be a movie. This is such a wonderful book and I’ve honestly never been so interested in a book like this before. It was the one reason I would look forward to any kind of free time in class to read this. His needs to be a full in movie staring Ben Platt! My life isn’t complete without having this as a movie

Wonderfully Hopeful. This middle aged man wishes he had a book like this to read when he was in his teens. I loved every single word.

What Is Love. I enjoyed this book. I appreciate how the narrative went between both of the boys and that the story was somewhat relatable. I felt like Ben and Arthur were very believable characters and I looked forward to how their story would unfold. I would recommend checking this book out! I look forward to seeing the movie!

What if there was an ending?. Beautiful story that doesn’t go anywhere. The ending is very abrupt and ends on a sour note. Maybe there’s a sequel coming out soon, and I’m not aware of it.

No words but one amazing!. After my break up I lost hope for love. This book gave it back to me. And put a new perspective in a few things.

i cant even... Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. It broke my heart. Made me feel giddy. And it mentions Hamilton!!!!!!and Harry Potter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could just die peacefully right now. This is books is my everything. (Everything, everything 😂) (including all the other books I read, my family, god (don't worry), my friends, and my food.) I HIGHLY recommend this book. interesting. i don’t know what i was expecting when i first started this book. i enjoyed their other books and i decided to read this one. it’s an interesting story, a little bit slow. i liked the different point of views. however, this book didn’t leave an impact on me. if i really enjoyed a book ill want to reread as soon as im finished. however, that was not the case for this book. i still enjoyed it.

The best book I’ve ever read. I could never put it down. I read this book from 5 pm to 2:30 am. At points I was bursting out laughing, but at others I was sobbing. Especially at the end. This is the best book I have ever read.

Unresolved. I loved the book it was a great book. I expected the ending but I feel like there could be a sequel...

Another fairy tale of teenage love. As a 28-year-old man I probably should feel embarrassed that I’m so into teenage love fantasies, but how young adults feel about relationships and futures is so precious, and that’s why I love Ben and Arthur and their story so much. But I have to say that Ethan is too weak a character, which makes it hard for readers to relate when Arthur’s mad at him because he’s been ignoring Arthur’s texts. It would’ve been better if some memories of Ethan with Arthur were given, to let readers know what kind of person he was.

Awesome!!!. This book is one of a kind. I hope they make a second one!!! I loved the way Arthur and Ben met. Hope we get to see more of them.

What a charmer.. This book is fantastic. I’ll admit, I’m 32, so the constant millennial phrases are a tad obnoxious, but I so wish I had a story like this at 16. It’s so weird to look back at high school 15 years ago, and see how far we’ve come as a society. There’s miles and miles to go, but stories like this one really make you stop a minute and see Humanity shine

Truly Remarkable!. I honestly have been looking for something like this and I can honestly say this book is outstanding! The story was beyond my expectation and had me yelling in public and tear up and everything else in between because of these two amazing characters. It took my breath away and I could t let go reading it. I would definitely love to see the next chapter in what can be another amazing book. I can also say I would love to see this turn into a movie. It is a perfect story to tell on the big screen!

The book I never knew I needed!. I just finished the book, and forgive me, but I’m still speechless. As a 21-year-old member of the lgbtq+ community, I wish stories like this existed the year after I came out to my school in 7th grade- beginning my joy of boy fascination. My boyfriend and I read this book together, and we were sent through a wide range of emotions. We laughed, we squealed, we cried, and we couldn’t put this book down! 10/10 would always recommend. There better be a sequel to Ban and Arthur’s love story.

Sniff, sniff... it’s over... :-(. Oh hell... I’m happy, I’m sad, I’m sorry it’s over. You gave me two characters to love... I want them to be real in my life. The end of this book was not my ending... I’m an old softee, and I would have twisted life’s constraints to be the way I wanted it... Yet, I have to admit, I feel the realism... I can relate... I think this ending is good... I suspect I will dream about my ending tonight... God, these are nice guys, the kind of people you would cherish in your life... You have me thinking.

This book was great. Omg this book was one of the best love stories I have seen it showed some of the problems of a mlm relationship but it also showed that they do the same things as straight couples. It shows that no matter what you can love who you want.

Loved all but one thing. I loved this book almost cover to cover. Minus the epilogue, highly disappointing :(

I liked it!. As a queer teenager who is currently obsessed with broadway, (specifically Hamilton and I’m SO excited to watch the new Dead Evan Hansen movie coming out in a few weeks) I kinda loved this book. I didn’t care for the ending much, and the epilogue KILLED me, but I set the date for the next book in my calendar right after researching when it was coming out!! So honestly 9/10 just because the ending confused me and didn’t really satisfy me. :)

By far my favorite book!!. Can’t wait for the possible movie!!

Amazing!!!💖🏳️‍🌈💖. Ben and Arthur's story is unforgettable. I am a HUGE theatre nerd, and in love with NYC. This book was perfect for me and I think anyone else who reads it will feel the same way. This partnership of two amazing authors brought a book that will become a romantic classic. (The Dear Evan Hansen references made me cry. Not kidding.)

I’m usually not a big reader but this book had me hooked!. I literally read this book in 2 days and fell in love with every single character on the way, I was overjoyed in some parts, yet intimidated by what could happen to the characters in other parts. Overall, this is definetly an amazing 12/10 book that I COULD NOT put down and I would highly recommend reading it. Thank you to the authors for this utter masterpiece.
