Updated review. I reread this. I was initially turned off by the shallowness. BUT as I read I realized some things I liked. The heroine is strong. The background of the old Hollywood romance drew me in. I like Jake and I like Jake and Lizzie’s interactions. Yes, parts were hilarious especially the video going viral. Bet Me. Too much of the “F” word for my taste. I also don’t like chapters narrated by one character and then another about situations that occur in the book. This book does not flow well.
It was funny and steamy. It was a little slow after the first few chapters until page 88 that totally made me laugh 😂😂😂!! That particular page was definitely the funniest unexpected moment in a romantic comedy with a lot of steam and sexual tension between Jake and Lizzie!!! I have to say Lizzie is definitely a spitfire and got a strong backbone when it comes to standing up for herself!!! As usual there was hilarious and a lot steamy erotic moments between Jake and Lizzie as well as the yanks and ups/downs when it comes to love. I thought it was great to read Nate and Julia again briefly.

Good read. I enjoyed this book, minor editing errors but good storyline and enough zing. Love the language, it felt like a real modern day romance.
Professionally unrealistic. I love a free trashy romance novel as much as the next person but I could not get into this one. I work in a museum and found the entire plot surrounding the main characters job very unrealistic and in some cases extremely unethical! Lizzie for sure would get fired in the real world.
