The Secrets of Ethan Falls. Th ONLY issue I had is that, I wish the writer would’ve imagined Daryl’s lover was made of stronger stuff..! But that did not take away from the great writing, and the ability to draw us in and make our minds work to become a part of the investigation. Daryl is a good leader and he makes people want to work with him. He’s fair minded and cares for others. I loved this book and being a part of the mysteries as they unfolded. Just as I loved the second book. Thank you J.W. Lucas, I’m looking forward to reading more of your work. :-)

Edit and maybe read aloud?. In addition grammar and punctuation errors, there was one glaring mistake that distracted me from the entire novel—the overuse of names! When two people are conversing, they don’t use each other’s names constantly: “Hi Darryl.” “Hi Jim. How are you doing today Jim?” “I’m great Darryl.” “Do you have any new info for me Jim?” “Yes Darryl, I do!” “Thanks Jim.” “You’re welcome Darryl.” Granted, I didn’t copy from the book, it is similar to the dialogue between characters throughout the novel. I finished it, but it is doubtful I will read more by the author.

Great story, but work on editing. Story was great and really kept me interested and involved. Please edit more carefully as there were lots of punctuation mistakes as well as line spacing and various fonts that were distracting at times as well as many blank pages between chapters. However, I can’t wait to read next book!

The secrets of Ethan Falls. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Though not a Rambo or Superman, this was a well written book with a nice plot line and nice ending. The only fault I would point to was in editing...the use of quotes and switching of speakers without appropriate attribution was off putting at first. When I resolved to ignore it and make my own association of who was speaking it flowed well.

Good story line….but…. Disruptive editing, excess blank pages…. Someone needs to edit better for reading on iBooks. 4-6 blank pages between chapters. Some paragraphs spaced unusually from paragraphs above or below. Good story line….but…

A good read. A strong story but having the main character’s narrative in the first person is slightly odd and the occasional direct comments to the reader really jars - it pulls you out of your immersion in the story and into the real world too quickly. Otherwise a good read just check for the odd typos.

The secrets of Ethan Falls.. Not bad at all, little on the sloppy side re their romance, overall it is worth a read.

Romance novels are criminal. I love crime fiction so this book ticked that box, not sure about the romance thing. I appreciated not having in depth analysis and descriptions of their nocturnal activities, the story was better without it. It was well written but needs editing badly e. g. There are so many blank pages between chapters. All in all a nice read

The secret of Ethan Falls. Highly recommended. Well developed and relatable characters, intriguing plot, kept me thoroughly engaged with the entire book. I don’t give spoilers, I will be reading more of this series, starting immediately with the next book.
