The Merman King. Michelle Pillow - The Merman King (Lords of the Abyss Book 6) Finally King Lucius gets his story told. The King of Atlantes and the Mermans has become restless and pushed the envelope by going to the surface and seeing if he is able to breathe air without any repercussions. The people of Atlantes believed they would burn from being exposed. Of course it is on this expedition with his warriors that a human woman is suddenly drowning and Lucius is there to rescue her. Olivette was working as a waitress for a fancy party on a ship but suddenly finds herself drowning and on top of that being kissed by a merman so he can feed her oxygen.It takes awhile for the woman Olivette to warm up to the King’s charms but for him there is an instant attraction. There is trouble in Atlantes from a group of women trying to take power. The king and his people are to be challenged beyond their wildest dreams. This was a quick exciting read. I’ve liked the king throughout the series. The author has created an interesting special world and take on Atlantis, filled with very hot powerful mermen and how they find their mates. I was not thrilled about the way the series ended but was glad to see the king get his HEA. This series of Novellas is fun entertaining, I highly recommend reading the books in order.

I enjoyed it!. The Merman King is the sixth book in the Lords of the Abyss Series by Michelle M. Pillow. I have been waiting for this book because we have seen King Lucius throughout the other books in the series. I was interested to see his side of the story. This was a short novella. The king of Atlantes feels the weight of their curse. He is desperate to find a way to make a difference in their lives. Many of his Merr have found their soul mates, so there must be a sign that something can change. King Lucius went towards the surface where he saw a woman drowning. He did not think twice and went to her recuse. Not only did he have a new person in his life, he still had to deal with the Olympian’s that are trying to destroy his home. This was a quick and interesting book. I never expected it to be super sweet and cute too. With a dash of adventure and suspense. This was nice! The Merman’s Queen. Lucius made a mistake centuries before and his people paid the price for his arrogance. As their a king he felt it is to his duty to rectify this mistake so he was the one to try and experiment to see if they could breathe air. While trying the experiment he saw a lady fall and saved her. OIivette was out work and took any job that came her way. She ended up embarrassing a politicians aid He attacked her and threw her in the ocean. She was saved and started falling for the king. She pushed him away because she didn’t think she was Queen material. When the Olympians attacked the dome and they were all forced to go to the surface Olivette was the one that came up with a plan and helped the others to safety. I love Michelle M. Pillows books. If you have not read her serious they are awesome.

Captivating read. Loving this series each books has been amazing. The characters are captivating and intriguing. The storyline takes you along as the story plays out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A fitting end to the Mermen of Atlantes saga. I am so glad that Lucius has finally got a story of his own. Being king of Atlantes and ruler of the Mermen has been hard for Lucius as he has shouldered the burden of his people’s curse. After two millennia he deems it is time for his people to return to life above the waves and is prepared personally to test whether this is possible. Then Olivette falls into his arms when she is cast overboard and he starts to have doubts. Is this a sign from the Gods that they can escape their curse or that they must continue living under the waves? This is an excellent and fitting ending to the Mermen of Atlantes saga and I shall be sorry to read no more of Atlantes. A Perfect Ending to a Great Series. A fitting end to a great series which has been an unusual genre for me to read - with Mer folk in it! King Lucius finally finds his mate in a very strong woman, Olivette. I found her attitude to life, and bad things happening, turning into something good, to be of particular relevance to me and struck a cord. Such wonderful characters and a wonderful world. Loved it!
