Oaths. While I liked this story, I’m glad the series is at its end. The expected action, drama, wit and excitement was present like it was in the other books but, in my opinion, it seems old and tired, and more like story filler than new material. If you’re expecting resolution of the various character couples, you will not find it, which, after paying for 7 other books to get here, could and would have been a better space filler. In the end, at least there is a HEA for Ridge and Sardelle.

Full series.. I have read the whole series and though I enjoyed them they were very short. Averaging about 90 words per page. Most books I have been reading seam to have about 500. I will try more of his books. I just hope they are longer.

Another great book. The previous re view is unfair. This is not a summary, it is a whole new story in and of itself. It does include an adventure as well. However, this book is much more character driven rather than adventure driven. All of the characters are so entertaining and funny I find the book worth it. If anything, I would call this story more ‘domestic’ than the others. The adventure takes up just as much of the book as settling open ends with characters. It was far more dramatic than adventurous and a good way to complete the story arch.

Oaths. I did not get the adventure I expected after reading the other books in this series. This was more of review of what had previously occurred in the other books. I was disappointed.

Great stories!. This is a tale of plans, counter plans and more plans. Flyer General Ridge Zirklander and his sorceress love, Sardelle are getting married and Ridge is planning on asking the King, to be part of the wedding party, a hostile nation is plotting to steal the kingdom's supply of dragon blood and kidnaps Tolomec. The king's advisers are planning a Festival of Lights to celebrate restoration of the castle and the installation of electric lIghts, other enemies want to destroy the dragon blood, flyer Cas is planning to save Tolomec, Sardelle is planning how to tell Ridge he is an expectant father and Bahra Saruth, the Gold drag on is planning to build a temple for his worshippers. Everyone seems to be planning on getting an invitation to the wedding and vying for most ridiculous gift. How many of these plans actually come to fruition and how others are foiled, provide great comic relief and entertainment. There is a bonus story as well that takes place prior to the main tale. These stories, conclude the tales featuring Sardelle and Ridge and their continued adventures will be missed.

Love the Dragon Blood series. Disappointed that this is the last book in the series. I want more!
