Texas Ranger by James Patterson Book Summary

In James Patterson's #1 New York Times bestselling thriller, a Texas Ranger fights for his life, his freedom, and the town he loves as he investigates his ex-wife's murder.
Across the ranchlands and cities of his home state, Rory Yates's discipline and law enforcement skills have carried him far: from local highway patrolman to the honorable rank of Texas Ranger. He arrives in his hometown to find a horrifying crime scene and a scathing accusation: he is named a suspect in the murder of his ex-wife, Anne, a devoted teacher whose only controversial act was ending her marriage to a Ranger.

In search of the killer, Yates plunges into the inferno of the most twisted and violent minds he's ever encountered, vowing to never surrender. That code just might bring him out alive.

Alexander. Great Read!!

Very disappointing. Save your money

Texas Ranger. Another disappointing PATTERSON/somebodyelse Novel. Trite, predictable, 2D characters. Reads like a Danielle Steele novel for teenagers. Putting your name on other writer’s work is lazy man’s way of earning money.

Texas Ranger. Not a very good book. Far too much whining, blubbering and pussification. Save your money.

Ranger. Not the expected depth of characters or rich storytelling I have come to expect... Shallow and Kardashian drama throughout...

Lams. Absolutely cheesy and lame. The way it’s written is just so cheesy and not realistic or relatable. The ending was beyond predictable. No plot twist that you couldn’t see coming. By far the worst book I’ve read by him.

Texas Ranger. This cannot be a James Patterson book. I usually can’t put them down once I start. It is boring, tedious, and not interesting at all. I’m trying to get through it, I’m about halfway through. I will update it if it gets any better but right now I’m just trying to finish it. Ok finished. This was his worst. Will make me think twice about buying another book that he co-writes.

Texas Outlaw. I want to follow the series

Quick, engaging read. It’s like Alex Cross with a hat. My eyes were glued to the page. Just like the TV ads said. Anyway, enjoyed reading the book, but I’d be really disappointed if real Texas Rangers behave this way.

Not one of his best works. I think it could have been a much better story. Very formulaic. Very superficial. And I guessed the plot line and outcome pretty quickly.

Waste of time and money. I have been a fan for 25 years. This didn’t even sound like it was written by the same Patterson I’m used to reading. Seriously disappointing. Don’t bother. Will not be pre-ordering again.

Texas Ranger. What a waste of time - poorly written, sorry drawn out story, written I think by a 12 year old. Sorry I paid to read this trash.

Stopped Reading. Like all Patterson books this was well written. Unfortunately, the main character is almost completely unlikable. I tried to stick with it but I gave up when I found myself routing for the lead to fail.

Na. I will never read another book by Patterson again. This book was boring. Could have been a bad episode of Walker Texas Ranger.

Worst Book Patterson Ever Published. It was hard to determine if this book was murder mystery or a Harlequin romance novel. Rory Yates, ex-football player and now a Texas Ranger cries every other page. The books plot was so boring. I paid for the book so I finished it but it will be a long time before I buy another Patterson novel that he has co-wrote.

Texas Ranger. A great read. Very hard to put the book down. I loved it. David.

I. Hon9 p9 Luik

Anger. I felt anger that I relied on Mr Peterson’s reputation to purchase this book. The book was boring with a trite plot and no character development. One of the worst books I have ever read.

Good read. Enjoyed the book, definitely recommend.

Texas Ranger. Very disappointing read. Not up to Alex Cross standards. Totally figured out the killer as soon as introduced. Felt like I have wasted my money purchasing this book.

Texas Rangers. Poorest effort I have ever read by James Patterson. Not at all indicative of what 8 have read or heard about Texas Rangers. Will never read another co- authored book by Andrew.... Sorry, but vey disappointing for 5he money

Want my money back. Sad to say, but this one of Patterson’s worst books ever. It was unrealistic read.

Very good. Loved it hope it’s a new series

Texas Ranger. Great character nice pace to the story.

Texas Ranger. Not impressed.
