A quick steamy read. Piper has given us a steamy romance with lots of funny scenes and dialogue. Both Payton and Max had difficult things in their lives they had to deal with before they could be happy together.

Loved. I live finding authors that I haven't read yet! Piper Lawson is fabulous! Play was realistic, fun, steamy and written so well! Payton and Max have amazing chemistry...the steamy times are full of STEAM lol There's also tons of banter and humor which I love amongst characters. Successful woman and nerdy, gorgeous guy! Fun times! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend!

Uhhhmazing. Never in my life did I think I could dive into a book head first, and head strong to get to the end. I’m an avid reader, and this author, Kendall, is a heaven sent for me. All the books she’s written are now on my wish list. And slowly, but surely. I will read every single one. On to book 9 of hers 🥰 Highly recommend.

Exceeded my expectations!!. I absolutely love this book. I feel so connected to the characters and their relationships, it's so well written. The author did an amazing job - I love that this wasn't just words about romance and sex, there is an actual story line here. I enjoyed the gaming industry being pulled in and learning a little about that. This book is 🔥. I completely recommend!!!

Too Predictable. The drama was way too predictable! The beginning of the story was great that’s why I gave the book a semi-high rating. The drama in the book was extremely, unprofessional (which should have made the book more provocative, but no!) and boring at the same time.

I LOVE IT!. Honestly super great! I loved that it was easy to follow while constantly grabbing your attention - it was hard to put it down or not dream of finishing it! I finished it in a day! First book in a while and I am not disappointed, it was really exactly what I was looking for. Sweet and sexy, entertaining and gripping, to the point without lacking detail or overwhelming with unnecessary info. Definitely would read again and will be looking into more!!

Loved it!. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because of the editing. If someone’s getting paid to edit, then they need to get the job done right! Otherwise, I loved this book! Loved the story! Loved the plot! It was refreshing & Peyton wasn’t too sappy like so many of the other heroines in the hundreds of books I’ve read. Definitely worth reading! Thanks for sharing!

Play. This story was pretty good. You follow Peyton as she tries to land a major client and keep things professional. Max is moody and in need of a loan for his game he is creating. He has been burned and doesn’t trust easily, she is trying to help make money to save her moms house. Great story and characters.

Game of Life and Love. OMG - this was different and great!!! I can't get enough of Piper's books. She writes characters that pull you in and have you turning the pages. Payton has just received a promotion within her company and is looking to make her mark in the financial world. Max is a video game developer who is looking for a loan for his next project. From their first meeting you are hooked. Their relationship begins because they each need something from each other - Max needs financial help, while Payton needs his business. These characters are intense - work comes first for both of them but life is more than that. Max has walls up for many reasons. Will Payton be the person Max can trust with his project and heart? The chemistry and banter between them is off the charts. You will love every minute of their working together. I'm hoping Piper make this into a series. There are some characters in this book that I like to see stories for, especially Charlie, she's a riot and one for sweet Riley with more Payton and Max!

I loved it. Yep, this really is as the synopsis says "a quirky 70k word standalone about life, love, and the pursuit of orgasms, I mean, video games." I adored this story so much, I loved Max, he was arrogant, smouldering and sexy, ooh, and rich and intelligent. What's not to like? Then we have Payton, she was an absolute blast, she's funny, sexy, intelligent, and just a straight up good honest person, I loved her. Payton works for a bank and is appointed to manage a financial loan for Max who owns one of the biggest gaming companies going. Let's just say they don't always see eye to eye in business. Lines get crossed and business becomes pleasure. Payton is unable to mix the two, the lines get all blurry. Does Max trust Payton enough to let her truly 'in'? The chemistry between the two is a definite 'hell yes", and the banter between all the characters that make up this wonderful story just adds to the fun, easy vibe of the book. Loved it. I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Fun and fresh!. I read a lot of contemporary romance. This was fun and fresh! Slow burn with characters that could almost be real. Don’t let the slow burn throw you, the payoff is worth it! Loved Max and Payton. (Charlie was a beast too!)
