Very good. This is the second book I have read in this series, but not the last. Many twists and turns between the covers, so to speak.

Couldn’t stop reading!. Love these books. It’s always just one more chapter and then all of a sudden it’s done!

Great read. I’m definitely a fan. If all in the series are as good as the first two, you’re in for a nonstop reading marathon. Forget the housework and treat yourself to these books.

Good read. Really like the setting of these books and the outdoor elements of hiking and fitness are a nice change and make the stories seem more balanced while being a nice change also.

Rachel Lynch book2. As good as the first. This read had you gripped from the start with a twist I never saw coming. Nasty. Visual. Perfect read for this genre

Really enjoyed it. Picked this book up during holiday from the villa we were renting. Really enjoyed it and now on the third sequel

Very good. A well written and quite satisfying police story. The Lake District setting, which was used to good effect, helped me decide to give 5*. I do have what might seem to some a petty complaint but it rankles me. I believe authors ought to use correct grammar, except in their characters’ speech which can reflect how people talk in every day life. Rachel Lynch is a very good writer but several times she used ‘stood’ and ‘sat’ when it should have been ‘standing’ and ‘sitting’. We would never say ‘I was swam in the sea’ or ‘he was ran down the road’. Rant over! Still worthy of 5*!

Loose ends... After reading and enjoying the first book i was looking forward to the next instalment. However, i was disappointed with some aspects of the story. Mainly the fact that a major character / suspect and his family just disappear from the plot. All in all a good story, but you feel frustrated when you start to get to know characters and then you don’t get answers.

Deep Fear indeedy. I thought the first book was outstanding and this may not live up to it, but it is brilliant it brings you up to date on the characters from the first book and has a scary unpredictable tale to tell. The breathtaking descriptions of the beautiful Lake District scenery has you there right from the start. I couldn’t put this book down and it had so many twists and turns I had to reread some chapters to pick the thread up. I had no clue who the killer was till near the end exceptional read.

Deep Fear. These detective stories where the main character continues to be in at the death and wounded are too silly. One episode would have them out forever with raging PTSD, let alone every book.

Deep Fear. For fans of British police thrillers, this novel will certainly have you all enthralled. I haven’t read the 1st in the series, but this one is a stand-alone, exciting, unpredictable story with a clever twist at the end. While it wasn’t a ‘stay up all-nighter’, I enjoyed every page, and intend to keep reading the series!
