Wonderfully Awesome Book. I just finished reading “The Downstairs Girl”, and have to say I wish it could have continued the story of Jo, Nathan, Noemie and the rest of the characters! It’s an enchanting book, and I will absolutely be seeking out more of Ms. Lee’s stories. By far one of the best books I’ve read in awhile. Sure hope the authors read these reviews!
Clever, witty and deep. A vibrantly told story of the times that white America is afraid to have the curtain pulled back. Stacey weaves a beautiful knot between discrimination, wisdom and forgiveness.
Nothing special. This book took me a while to get through. There was nothing in the plot or writing style that made me want to keep reading. It’s not a page turner and became a chore to finish it.
AMAZING. This book is an astonishingly beautiful book with plenty of plot twists and surprises along the way. This book will keep anyone in the edge of their seats, guessing what may happen next but is to unpredictable to guess. It’s marvelous, thought provoking, and emotional. This is one of the BEST books I’ve read in a while and can only say I wish for a second book with Jo, Nathan, and our other marvelous characters that I’ve come to love!!
