Ok. The story itself was entertaining but was pretty much singular focused around the Blackstone. There was one side event involving Meg Corbin. Most of the characters are likable and believable.
Extraordinary!. Ann Bishop brings the stories of the Others to life in the most believable way. The characters become amazingly real and each one is special. Each side, good and bad, are not just black and white but shades of gray. There is humor but also tragedy so I felt laughter and tears. I am hoping there will be more stories about the Others.

Absolutely amazing.. Could not put it down. Anne’s stories are always unexpected, interesting and unique.
Love this series. It’s not for everyone but I enjoy The Others being in control and protecting nature. It’s amusing and nice to see how the humans and The Others learn about each other and try to compromise. Humans would be so much more considerate if they weren’t ‘top of the food chain’ 😜 *Spoiler Alert*... My only disappointment in this story is that there wasn’t enough justice done; The Others paid too high a price in an effort to play fair (the human way)
