Could have been written by a horny 10 year old. This book literally could be a watt pad book it’s so badly written, and it has the most predictable, boring plot.

Amazing. It was such a good book, literally love all of it the character are great, the relationship between the two is amazing

Why. I’m sorry. I’m about 90% finished with the novel and I don’t think I’m going to stay for the end. Pacing was terrible. Main characters are shallow. The conflicts could’ve just been solved if the main characters talked to each other like adults. Good note: the book is free. I wouldn’t recommend if anything I stated bothers you.

I loved it. Sweet read! Love me some Fitz. Summer is bada** and love it. All for women empowerment and sisterhood. Summer and Fitz were polar opposites but it worked. Their chemistry was off the charts 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This book had me laughing so hard at certain times. Lovable and memorable and characters for sure.

Don’t waste your time.. Don’t waste your time. It’s the first book that I wasn’t able to finish. I read 20% and gave up. This book is extremely boring, without plot, intrigue.

Loved. Fitzy with all his sexy ness and awkwardness is it for me. I also loved being able to look into the mind of someone with ADHD. It helped some things click in my mind

Fantastic writing. This book has amazing detail, a wonderful storyline, and a beautiful HEA. I am so impressed with her ability to blend a beautiful tale and keep so many characters straight. I love how they all weave together to complement each other stories. Definitely a series I read and reread.

Buy the dang book. What an great book! Both main characters had me so frustrated at times, but the author did a fantastic job of keeping them HUMAN! The plot is thick and there are a few twists on this roller coaster, without a doubt worth the read:)

♥️♥️♥️. Great story! Love how real Summer is. She is confident but has her own insecurities and struggles with them and I think that makes her so relatable. And Colin’s struggle with his childhood also makes him someone easy to connect with. The chemistry between them is obviously undeniable and it’s sexy while also being super sweet. Great book!

Loved it. I got to say i had no idea this book was on the same universe than hanna and Garret, and I liked it. This author has very good skills about creating stories, characters and conversations that feels genuine and she is also very good at describing sex escenes…

Where have I been? I throughly got enlightened.. Have to say I must have not been reading racy, sexy books with everything hanging out, nor females sucking off dicks and comfortable with it. The writing was better than I expected after I learn what was going on. Summer was a pleasure, and her laid back boyfriend sure took his time getting around to deciding he over her. Perhaps a follow up!!!!

SO SO GOOD!. I loved the “will they won’t they” story and it had me not wanting to put it down! Definitely recommending to my friends and family!

She did it again!!!!. Yes!!!!! So good! I’m not going to lie. I wasn’t planning on reading it especially since I hated Tucker’s and Sabrina’s story. I love tucker it more Sabrina I could not stand but regardless this book The Chase made up for it and it made me fall in love with this series.

SO GOOD. It was such a great read. The main characters and side characters were amazing as well. Recommend reading this!

No thanks, and I’m done with Elle while we’re at it.. Look, I knew this was going to be a poorly written book going into it. It was worse than I expected. Elle has some issues she needs to work through in therapy. Starting with the fact that all her characters are straight and white, and moving on to writing her main character to idolize a proven racist, Nazi sympathizer. And she obviously knew about it, because she defended Chanel when that point was brought up. Don’t even get me started on her “feminist values”. Yikes. Sick. I’m done. And let’s be honest, the smut is mediocre and vanilla at best. Find a better written book with more diversity and higher morals. Can we rate something to be less than one star?

The chase is on…. Great book. Wonderful characters. It’s easy to get lost in their world. It only slight negative is that they dance around each other for too long but it is a great story. I really enjoy this author’s books. I think I only found one or two errors in the entire book which is a major plus in my book!! Thank God for good editing and proofreading!

Love hate relationship. Oh Fitz and summer get on my nerve throughout the whole book but also I wouldn’t have it any other way. As always another one of Elle Kennedy’s book that is 10/10

Love this series. I’ve loved reading this series. The characters are well developed the story lines are fun the hockey scenes are exciting and make me miss terribly going to hockey games. The sex scenes are exciting as well and scattered in the story with a good lead up that doesn’t leaving you feeling like your readings smut. If I wasn’t losing my job in two weeks ild have no hesitation buying the rest of the series, it’s possible I’ll cave and buy them anyways I just haven’t had enough yet and have to know what happens to hunter

The chase. It’s was ok. Definitely not as good as the others. I personally didn’t like Summers character idk just something about her.

Elle Kennedy never disappoints. ❤️. Four big stars for this amazing book. Lovers of the Off Campus series will enjoy this continuation of the same world. Summer and Fitz are incredibly relatable, in my opinion, and from the get-go you’re rooting for both of them. A slow burn, but passion and fireworks explode between our MCs. Even though side characters are given enough attention to make you want to devour this series back to back. Highly recommend!

So good I couldn’t put it down. Ended up reading this in one sitting, very fun book!

Not Worth the Read. This book was a complete miss for me. It had very little redeeming qualities. It’s grammatically correct, but that’s about it. Plot is boring, characters are dull, the romantic relationship is blah. This book has nothing on The Deal, which is so much better. It’s slow with no worth the wait moment. And it’s not even slow in a beautiful artistic kind of way. It’s just a boring book. You stick around for the ending for no reason.

Very cute. Who doesn’t love an opposites attract moment! This story feels very real with the communication struggles and the character’s frustration. I love their relationship and banter!

More smut. It was just a little too wordy for me, and could’ve used some more smut.

AMAZING. I loved this book. The first 100 pages are long but the rest of the book is amazing. I love this author and the way she writes.

It grew on me. I read the first 4 chapters and stopped reading it. I couldn’t relate. Didn’t really catch my attention. Then I was bored and picked up where I left off and that was it. Finished it in a couple of days. It was good enough for me to see what else the author had written. So most definitely going to buy the next one in the series.

10/10. Summer is smashing it! I love that she learns differently because of her adhd. It’s very well written and is a constant emotional rollercoaster! Having a daughter with adhd myself. Books like these give a little insight to what goes on in their minds.

1000/10. I loved it soo much. I know they’re a different series but in the Briar U universe Grace and Logan, and Fitz and Summer are now my favourite couples. This book was just soo good and finished so quickly, feel like I needed more chapters.

The complexity of the characters, the opposites attract storyline and trying to fight love were all amazing attributes to this amazing book. Another incredible addition to Elle’s amazing work. Cool. I like it

The chase. First book in a series, kinda linked to a previous series this author has written so there are a couple of familiar background characters. A nice, lighthearted read with lots of spicy bits scattered throughout. I’m neurotypical so I’m not sure about the accuracy of the whole ADHD part, but I did enjoy reading about a character that had really good support systems to help her and it was great to read that the academic institutions were set up to help her out… even if it is just pretend. Dual POV, med spice, 18+ CN sexual assault, creepy professors

Great to be back in Elle Kennedy’s Hockey World. 4.5 Stars for The Chase which is book 1 in Elle Kennedy’s new Briar U series and this takes us back in to her steamy hockey world. Fitzy maybe a talented hot hockey player but he is also a bit of a nerd he is smart he loves video games but he can be introverted and sometimes struggles to communicate due to his abusive family history, he grew up with his parents fighting and that means he is not ready for a relationship. Summer has just transferred to Briar and she needs a place to live after her new sorority sisters refuse to let her move in so her big brother Dean calls in some favours and she ends up a roommate to Fitz,Hollis and Hunter. Summer has crushed on Fitz for a while so being his roommate may not be the easy life both these guys are looking for. Summer also has issues that she has to deal with on a daily basis she comes from a very successful family but she has a learning disability and each day brings a new challenge to the gorgeous girl that a lot of the other girls love to hate. The laid back Fitz may be the perfect match for Summer but will he ready to take the jump and see that relationships can work if you are with the right girl. This is a fun easy read that captivates you from the first page it has characters with real life issues it’s funny it’s sad and it’s a great read. Looking forward to the next in the series.

LOVED IT. Omg I absolutely loved this book! Ironically my 2 children are named Sommer and Hunter, and my names Breanna which completely freaked me out! But what a great book! I was worried there wouldn’t be a ‘twist’ but nearing the end it was there. It’s so great to read a modern book that’s so completely relatable. I’ve already pre-ordered the next one! Can’t wait 😜

Not my cup of tea. I know this genre of novel runs on a particular predictable formula, but this one’s cliches were extra cringe.

Caitlyn <3. Who doesn’t love a nerd-jock? That’s like the most adorable combination. An athletic guy who is also super artsy and creative. Sometimes Summer got on my nerves but I love Fitzy & Summer together. They are super cute and I love Fitzy so much!

I was so invested and needed to know what happens and how it ended. That’s when you know you’ve picked up a good book. Can’t wait for Brennas story Although would love more of Summer and Fitz.

The chase. It’s a good light romantic read. It has an element of realism, and I can relate to all characters at some points.

A little slow. I found this one a little slower than her other novels but still a great read, I wasn’t as attached to the characters either but no regrets on the buy ! Highly recommend to anyone that loves her books, this one might just take an extra day or 2 to get through

The chase. Great story though I found the verb tense used to be awkward in wording. Often my brain automatically switched to past tense, which was a bit frustrating to constantly do but made the story read easier and more fluent. Content and story wise though, it was great !

definitely recommend. Elle Kennedy= such a brilliant new adult author. Of course, I knew that when I first fell in love with her and Jen Frederick's writing for the Royals Series (which I am obsessed with) and their other standalone novels. Briar U is the spin-off series for Off-Campus Series, which I have read the first novel of (and loved it). And The Chase follows the characters of Summer and Fitzy. Main Characters: ✧ Summer is ambitious. She loves fashion and is very upbeat, and she loves socializing. Summer is really the life of the party. I love her inner voice (Selena Gomez), and I love how she always lifts herself independently. ✧ Fitzy is a hockey player. Which is practically everything I need to know about him to already fall in love with. But, even though he plays hockey, he is also much more introverted than you would expect. Fitzy enjoys spending his time drawing and designing video games. It is a win-win. Summer & Fitzy's relationship It is an understatement when said that they are equivalent to "opposites attract." And they work so well together, well in the end, of course, the journey there was difficult, and there were many instances where I wanted to scream into my pillow and knock some sense into Fitz. I am really excited to continue this series with Brenna & Jake's story :)

Colin & Summer - slow storyline. The storyline between Colin and Summer is very slow. For example, the book is over a thousand pages, but they don’t get together until you hit the 800’s. I wish more of the story had been focused on them together, as opposed to them individually doing their own things. Also, an epilogue would have been a nice addition for them since there was only about 200 pages of them actually together.

Lacking. I’ve read the authors off campus series and really enjoyed them. I enjoyed this one as well but found the story to be lacking. It’s a bit slow and I didn’t like Fitz or Summer. I felt like a majority of story was them whining about each other.
