Hot!!!. I like him “but” kind of story and proof the strong willed do persevere. Good story, intertwines a bit with the previous book and continues stories started in book one and story for the next book, but if you didn’t read book one, it doesn’t interfere, good job in the authors part. HEA, no cliffhanger, hope you read, you will enjoy this writer’s style!

Slow. This was an overdrawn book, extending way too much. The plot is too simple for the length of the book, there wasn’t enough progress made. The book didn’t move at a good pace! I got bored around halfway through because the characters were flat and predictable! The girl was boring, she just always ran away after they slept together. The guy would always chase her. Yet, they didn’t get together for the longest time.

Slow Burn. Well written storyline and amazing characters that are entertaining. I was intrigued from the beginning to the very end. The sizzling hot chemistry between Beck and Maisie lit up the pages and will have you swooning. I really enjoyed all the others characters and the support they provided. Another fantastic addition to this series that you definitely need to check out.

It was worth it. I read the first book in the series and I was looking forward to Beck and Maisie’s story. It was worth the wait so of course I will be reading the rest of the series. I have read several of J H Croix books and I love them. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Beck and Maisie. Good story. In my opinion, it’s better than the first book because the storyline is better developed (involving Maisie’s dad). This made the story more interesting. It would have been nice to see where Maisie’s EMT degree/experience comes into play though, especially given where she worked. This seemed like a missed opportunity. The first book had the same problem where information was introduced but never fully used for story development. And a lot of the parts are quite repetitive and could have been cut shorter.

Maisie and Beck. Maisie and Beck's story is another great addition to the Into the Fire series. Their romance is hot and steamy. Willow Brook, Alaska is a great setting with lots of fun characters to get to know. I look forward to more of this series.

Slow burn. I enjoyed this story. But, there was too much description and not enough communication for me. A question asked and then, two pages later, after internal monologue the question would be answered. Felt like it drew the story out too much. Really liked the characters though. 👍👍👍👍😁
