Oh dear.. Where to start with this effort. Hugely disappointed having thoroughly enjoyed the previous offerings. Couldn’t keep up with this disjointed plot, or to be honest lack of one. Far too much going back in time, to ramble on about characters who had absolutely no connection with the present crimes in this story. I was totally confused and uninterested by the time it eventually arrived at the point of revealing whodunnit. I honestly couldn’t wait for it to end. Very poorly written I’m afraid and I expected far better from this author Won’t be buying the next one.

Great Read. Dead End by Rachel Lynch is the latest in the authors DI Kelly Porter series, although this is the third book in the series it can be quite easily read as a stand-alone.When the body of seventh Earls of Lowesdale is found hanging in his study and an upturned stool on the floor,it looks nothing more than a suicide but the coroner upon viewing the scene is not convinced and DI Kelly Porter is called in to investigate.DI Porter is soon given another investigation as two female campers have disappeared.Kelly and her team are now investigating two cases, both set again in picturesque Cumbria, add to the mix another investigation of a more personal nature. Both stories are cleverly woven together by the author in this excellent police procedural. I would like to thank Rachel Lynch,Netgalley and Canelo for giving me the opportunity to read Dead End.

Not the best…. Writing was a little clunky in places and the story was a little fantastical with the big reveal being somewhat obvious as well. Shame.

Another good read. I am enjoying this series and look forward to the next book. The writing style is good and easy to read. The Lake District setting is again put to effective use featuring in a few important parts of the story. The private life of the main character, Kelly, adds to the enjoyment of the book for me. How her situation is evolving is a link to the previous books and I do want to know what happens next. There are enough suspects in this story for you to wonder up to the final pages whether what you finally think has happened is the answer. Will there be a final twist, or not?

Deep Fear. I love the way I cannot put the stories down , the climax builds all the way through giving small hints along the way . I can’t wait to read the next one in the series...

Great read. Love Rachel Lynch

Brilliant. Captivating to the end

Fabulous. This started by out a bit slow and I didn’t know where it was going to end up but I was pleased with a faster and more interesting finish.
